Every day just gets better and Better. These pies are just a wonderful introduction to A TOUGH ACT TO FOLLOW, BUT I'M BETTING THE BANK ON WHAT'S NEXT. MAY I simply say, this is such a fresh approach, in all due respect, you've trumph'd the Pioneer Woman. Your kitchen is the real deal!!!
I think if you watch back all the videos Pearl's favorite is just PIE lol. She makes yum noises or enjoyable faces for most if not all the 🥧!!! She definitely seems like a pie person!
Dear Megan: I love what you have done with this series. The varying selection of pies has been quite interesting, great choices. This one looks yummy, I can taste it in my imagination. My husband and I are older now, so it’s hard making a whole pie for just the two of us. We used to share with and send over pie to our elderly neighbors. But, they are both gone now. Such a full and lively household you’ve got. Plenty of pie lovers to make happy. 🙏 😊 🥧
This month of pies is flying and I am absolutely loving it. Thank you for this great content - we appreciate all the effort it takes to create. Bless you all. Stay well and positive. Hello from London : - )
Now we are excited with the news of more to come….your family really are enjoying the pies which is great to see. My grandmother used to make a Butterscotch/ Caramel Meringue pie when we used to go and see her…we all loved it so much. ( plus Apple pies and homemade ANZAC biscuits) Great memories 🥧🥧🥧
Another quick way to make the pudding part, using the same steps as you did in cooking on the stove, cook in microwave in the measuring bowl stirring every 2 minutes for a total of 6 minutes. Then add your butter and vanilla stir well, cover and cool. This is especially good when making chocolate pudding, it will not scorch during the cooking process. Hope this helps with the cooking of all your puddings. Your pies are beautiful and decorated so nicely as well. Have a Blessed day.
You can’t go wrong with homemade banana cream pie. At Christmas we make my Moms coconut cream pie. We make the homemade custard like you did and it’s poured into a graham cracker crust, topped with meringue and coconut sprinkled on top of the meringue. It’s then put into the oven until the coconut and meringue are browned. Very delicious and we think of Mom when we make it.
Yes! This pie sounds intimidating but is straightforward and absolutely delicious. I finally thought of a pie: Tarte Tatin. Cooking light has the best recipe and it comes out just caramel ly apple-ly perfect each time!
I use pre-made pie crust in a box also, but I always roll them out a little bit because I find them to be too thick. I am teaching a home economics class for a homeschooled teenage girl and we made the cottage pie today as part of planning a family meal. It was delicious.
Not only is it a wonderful series, but when I had to go back into the channel page to look for a video I had missed... OMG - the THUMBNAILS!! The pie videos just look amazing lined up there... Thank you so much for sharing all these pies and recipes. It really does make ones I've never made less intimidating to consider.
OK here's a bunch of compliments.. 1st of all I love the way your son said thank you to you when he was presented that 1st piece of pie.. I watch a lot of cooking videos. I get irritated, I fast forward, And I personally get tired with them talking. You! Have figured this out. Your presentation on your videos and cooking are amazing. Everything you do I would do that's probably one reason why I think so. But the fact is you show everybody you're not wasting people's time you're getting right to the recipe. You have this!! Perfected Thank you so much I am excited about tomorrow... And I hope this is something you continue to do in the future with other items because it's just great!.. Thank you so much.. And that was cute how the cookie got away from Mike at the end
All of your pies look fabulous and this one sounds especially yummy, so this comment is merely regarding presentation. If you whip your cream to softer peaks, then you can dollop it on the pie from a spoon (rather than spreading it), then use the back of a spoon, give a swirl and lift to leave a pretty peak behind. Cover the top of the pie with these soft peaks.
I've been really enjoying this series! I told my daughter last night, OH. I need to watch my PIE video! She said Mom, you are losing it! ;-) What a great idea and I really hope we see another series before Christmas, maybe Holiday Baking? How about Subscriber suggested recipes? Thank you!
These pie videos are so much fun! The production of each video is very excellent.. love the enjoyable background music too! Really enjoy seeing & hearing everyone's pie reviews also!🥰😋 Hoping you'll keep making these kind of videos every day.♡ Thank you!!👏🥧💓👏
I am usually intimidated by the thought of making pies (never thought I could live up to my late Mom’s awesome pies), but you’ve inspired me to try new pies (apple is the only kind ‘Ive made). 👍
Oooh! I have a request- especially since you are so well travelled. This time of year, I always crave Zwetschgenwähe (a Swiss plum tart)… it’s addicting! Sometimes my Swiss friends even eat it for Friday night dinner!
I use a rolling pin to stretch to the pre-made pie crusts. I don't like banana bread, but I do like bananas and vanilla pudding, so I might try this one. Does half and half whip up like heavy whipped cream? Also, I have never added confectionery sugar when I make whip cream, am I dong it wrong?
Anothe r brilliant pie Megan, and I am very excited to find out what October will bring us, not that I am rushing you as September Pie is such a great idea xx
I am definitely interested in trying to make some of these pies however I am more of a cookie monster ( really a MONSTER) I used to yell to my boys as soon as they came out of the oven otherwise they wouldn't get any because I would eat the whole batch before they cooled lol. I know Mike usually makes the cookies maybe he could do a month of cookies....What do you think Mike??? I would personally love that.....plus could always use more recipes!!!
I am on the playlist and saw the peaches and cream pie fail… so I have a recipe for a blueberry cream pie or any other fruit. It is actually one of my favorite pies and I would hope you try to turn that fail into a win… recipe is as follows: 3-4 cups of fruit - I use less of blueberries because it over powers the cream if you don’t 3/4 c. Sugar 1/4 c. Flour 1/4 t. Salt Mix flour, sugar and salt together then add your 1 c. of heavy cream & 1 t. of vanilla; mix until smooth. Pour over fruit that is layered in pie crust. Sprinkle top with 1/2 t. of cinnamon. Bake at 400 for 50 min - 1 hour. Will set as it cools. I hope it works for you and you share your families thoughts. This one was my grandmothers recipe. I am enjoying the playlist so far and each pie is bringing a memory back to me of baking and cooking with my Gram.
I made this yesterday! My 3 grandsons I live with love it.I always use vanilla pudding. Banana pudding has a fake taste. We only had mini nilla wafers but they worked, lol. Thanks for sharing! Did Ester leave ? Hugs from Missouri 🤗 🍌
Love your hair ! Should make a list of the dinner pies and dessert pies and would love to know each kids favorite in each category! Love that mike closes his eyes and really savors the flavors !
I would love to learn to make sour dough bread. If you could learn how to make it and take us along that would be amazing. I am really enjoying watching these pie making videos.
Eve and her adorable facial expressions. Got to love that child.

❤
Yes! I look forward to Pearl’s reaction.
Maybe one day she will make yummy pies of her own.. 🥰
This isn’t pie related, but I really like your hair today, so pretty

She always looks great
@@jacquelinecote271 absolutely, but looking especially great today, in my opinion.
Yes, so pretty! And also her top. 💛
Shes been rockin the hair this whole pie series! LOVE her pixie grown out a bit. So feminine and dainty😍😊
Either November or December needs to have a Christmas baking theme! Love your content!!
Maybe a month of cookies in December:))
Dear Megan: I love what you have done with this series. The varying selection of pies has been quite interesting, great choices. This one looks yummy, I can taste it in my imagination. The cute giggle by Megan in response to Mike's compliments.. so cute! I love ya'lls relationship.

This month of pies is flying and I am absolutely loving it. Thank you for this great content - we appreciate all the effort it takes to create. Bless you all. Stay well and positive. Hello from London : - )
Oh, my. The vanilla wafers on the side is a bonus! Yummy! You keep amazing me Megan! Can’t wait to see what else is coming!
There is NO substitute for making your own pudding custard for banana cream pie or pudding ... Well done!
Now we are excited with the news of more to come….your family really are enjoying the pies which is great to see. From scratch, just perfect, always!!!
As I move into my new house, I have been inspired to bake pies, remembering your September Pies! When my things are unpacked.
As we move into the cool holiday season, would you consider a soup, dip, or appetizer series?? Love this series!!
Nothing beats custard made from scratch. Well done once again.
Your hair looks Gorgeous smoothed out and swept to the side❤️❤️❤️❤️ And I am soooooo enjoying a new pie vid each day!!
I've never made pudding from scratch before. Thank you for showing that.

Loving this pie series and the format as well. On a side note Esther did such a nice job on Jude’s hair. 😊

That pie would be great with a vanilla wafer pie crust. Looks delicious!
Such a delicious month of September Pies! 🎉💜 Thank you, ask always, for sharing with all of us!
With every pie you all eat I want to put a black coffee with it🤩
I love banana cream pie. I see you made the whipped cream with Half and Half. Didn't know you could do that.
This was such a great idea!! I have enjoyed watching your pies and your families reactions. Thank you 😊

Banana cream pudding pie is one of my favorites

I definitely haven’t mastered the art of making whipped cream yet!

I loooove 🍌, in all shapes and forms. I have scared myself out of making this too. I'm going to try it! Thanks for the nudge.
I just so love the September pies videos! Thumbs up! I hope this happens every September! All of them look delicious!
Oooh! I have a request- especially since you are so well travelled. This time of year, I always crave Zwetschgenwähe (a Swiss plum tart)… it’s addicting! Sometimes my Swiss friends even eat it for Friday night dinner!
This will encourage me to start eating banana bread and cake.
Looks yummy. Lots of bananas, homemade pudding, yum yum yum. I hate banana cream pie with almost no bananas
Love your new hairstyle! Enjoying all the pie videos, too!
Really enjoying all the pies but wondering if Megan ever eats any.

Have you ever done a Mincemeat Pie? My hubby's aunt use to make one for Thanksgiving, she was German.
So funny how they all just say “Lijah” instead of “Elijah.” Never noticed that before.
Love your hair today Meghan ❤
