An additional note...make sure both hinge surfaces (door pin and hinge side) are clean from all grease and debris using some sandpaper or a file before the bushings go in place. Good luck on your next project!
So on TJ’s the door hinge can shift and might need to be realigned by loosing the night bolts. Additionally you can remove the hinge to better access to the hinge hole and away from the paint of the vehicle
Home Depot, it is plywood handy helper or made for sheet rock too. Make sure to hit that like and subscribe button to stay up to date with all of our latest videos and content.
What about tailgate bushings? They are on the hinge part of the gate (not attached to the hinge attached to the body of the keep) just bought a replacement kit for the hinge pin and bushings but did not see a bushing removal tool. Is that tool for sale somewhere?
You can use a screwdriver or chisel to push in top flange/ flat of bushing and drive it through from above- I couldn't budge mine with a big 10 lb. maul either- I will try again this way.
One of the most cursed phrases you'll ever hear while working on your Jeep is..."It or they should come off real easy"! This refers to screws, doors, hinges, soft tops, hard tops,bolts,bushings...etc,etc...!
Brilliant, didn't think to use my drywall carrier...thanks.
You are the GOAT‼️God bless you. Got this done with a weighted rubber hammer. Worked just the same. Didn’t have to worry bout scratching paint
Thanks for posting. Doing mine tonight
Good luck! Have fun.
These things make a huge difference! 👍

The bushing removal tool came in the kit that we purchased.
After you install the pin guides at the end, is there anything you need to do to tighten them back down?
Just make sure that they are firmly tight on the end of the Door Pins. I would suggest some locktight on the end of the treads too.
I just replaced mine with plastic bushings today hopefully this will solve the door seizing bullshit that the wranglers are known for 😡
Mine won't budge, even with that tool.
