    This is the 2nd part of a trilogy "Don't Cry" 1st and "Estranged" is 3rd. It's based off the short story "Without You" by Dell James. It's about a young couple and he gets caught cheating. They get married but she can't handle the rumors and commits suicide. The third part is about the rebirth of himself into a better man because of what he did to her. Check out the whole story. Some of the greatest rock ballads of all time. Axl's voice with Slash's guitar ... speaks to the soul!

    • @jasonhitchcock8911
      @jasonhitchcock8911 4 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Yes, true. And if you look at the scene where she's in the coffin, half of her face is blacked out because she shot one side of her face off. I know you probably noticed that, I was just making a statment here for others who didn't catch it.

    • @Staceyblackett
      @Staceyblackett 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Actually the correct order is Don't Cry - November Rain - Estranged. It's a video trilogy of which is based on the short story “Without You” by Del James, a friend of Axl Rose and the road manager for Guns N' Roses.

    The video took that turn because Axl was dreaming about both their wedding and when he lost her. You see him wake up in a sweat after he's shown standing by her grave. I love this song so much that I can't resist watching it, even though I'm usually in tears by the end because I lost my wife 5 years ago. It's one of the most beautiful rock songs I've ever heard.

      I’m so sorry. I lost my husband, the love of my life, in 1996-24 years ago. We married at 22 and I lost him when I was just 24. This is some of the music we loved and listened to. Still crying after all these years. But, I was two weeks pregnant when I lost him. The only thing that kept me going was knowing a part of him was growing inside me. Today our beautiful daughter is 23 and I know, without a doubt, he’s watched over her all these years and remains her guardian angel today. Keep moving forward; someday we’ll all be together again. ❤️

    "November Rain” is based on the short story “Without You”, written by Del James and published in his book “The Language of Fear” a few years later. The story is basically about a rock star, grieving over the death of his girlfriend, who had committed suicide. Another fun fact, this was the very first music video to cost over 1 million dollars to make.

    Slash's music in this time in GnR was the best i ever seen a guitar player make solos fit the feeling of the song, i would say give it more feeling according to how the song was being expressed. It's not a matter of whose guitar player is more virtuoso, more tecnical qualities or faster. It's how they add feeling to the song.and play along with it. Slash is or was fantastic. I'm glad Axl was stuborn enough and gave everyone a damn hard time to make this music as it is, he's a genius.

The first tape, that should date me right there, I ever bought was Newcleus Jam on It, the second was Public Enemy Yo Bum Rush the Show. Third was Pink Floyd Momentary Lapse of Reason. Music is what binds us together. Expand your horizons, the benefits are immeasurable. Musicians I will also love, include: Alice in Chains, Guy, Jodeci, NWA, Pink Floyd, GnR, Tony Toni Tone, Mary J Blige (especially Whats the 411), Surface, Nine Inch Nails, Tears for Fears, Metallica, Eminem, Pac, Biggie, Mozart, Bach, George Strait, Daft Punk, Disturbed, and A Tribe Called Quest. There are many more, but you get the point.

    I have been a fan of GnR since Appetite for Destruction first came out, but the Use Your Illusion albums were something very special. November Rain holds a very special place in my heart for personal reasons, aside from the fact that it was a pure masterpiece, both song and video. But Don’t Cry and Estranged also had amazing videos, along with being incredible songs. But Patience is one of the best chill out songs ever. GnR hold their place in history as one of the GOATS for a reason, not just because of the legend that is Slash. There are so many great songs by them, it’s hard to narrow it down to even a few recommendations. But Welcome to the Jungle, Sweet Child o mine and Paradise City are also musts!

    Guns N Roses in my opinion is one of the most diverse bands of all times. Great reaction. If you want to react to a very deep song from them, please react to “civil war”. Keep it up my man 🤙🏼

    That woman in the video was Stephanie Seymour (Super Model) who was actually Axl Rose’s (Singer) Girlfriend at the time. She’s also in the Dont Cry Video.

    'November Rain' is a song about unrequited love. Beautiful and sad at the same time. Slash (aka Saul Hudson)'s guitar solos are awesome.

    Not exactly a wedding song. I was waiting until he saw the ending. Maybe a MIL song LOL
    KIDDING!!! Some other songs you might like by GnR are, Sweet child O mine, Welcome to the jungle, Patience, pretty much anything off of the Appetite for Destruction or Use your illusion albums.

    🎼🎶😎❤️yes, this is a great GNR song. They’re a California band, like Van Halen, Motley Crue, and lots of others. Got guitar solos and likes on my lists.This video- ends looking like it’s his nightmare he’s telling us about....you know you need someone but you still want to play- can’t do both or you lose what matters. That’s what I hear in the lyrics.🎼🎶❤️😎

    I guess it doesn't matter what 'the truth' is - it's art, and your feelings and interpretation (as long as the work touches your soul) are as valid as any other's. Peace!!

    Since I’m a new subscriber, I don’t know what you know or do not know about GNR. I did see the guy below explain the song, but wanted to say Axel went thru woman like he changed his clothes everyday.. Every time there was a breakup, there was a new hit song. He always wrote about his ex-girlfriends.Axel was extremely hard to get along with. He did have a rough childhood. He was sexually abused by a family member. He was also a child prodigy on the piano starting at age 3. He also has or had a 6 octave voice, which is pretty much unheard of for a man. His attitude was the reason the band broke up. But when push comes to shove, money talks, and they got together a few years back. You are absolutely correct on Slash. He is beyond AMAZING, just as great as Jimmy Page of LED Zeppelin and David Gilmore of Pink Floyd. You have great taste. You weren’t even born when Welcome to the Jungle came out??? Ahhhh geez, I’m old. That’s ok, cuz all of the bands listed, I saw!!!!
