Yes, he learned to play by sound, voicing it out. He has a interview from years back he talks about how he learned. They used to call his style a "talking guitar." Slash later learned how to read sheet music, but his style was ingrained in him by then. That style is what they say makes him stand out as one of the top guitar players in rock history.
Here's a couple of facts for you! The scene where Slash is in front of the church was filmed using a helicopter that got really close to him with a small amount of zoom from the cameras. The helicopter quite literally zoomed around him in all different directions to capture that scene. Slash has even said that day gave him anxiety and scared him. He honestly feared that was going to be his last day on earth. He thought that they were going to hit him with the helicopter. Also, the guitar he uses in the video is the very guitar that was owned by Joe Perry, the lead guitarist for Aerosmith. Slash knew only die-hard rock and guitar nerds would recognize it and wanted so badly to use it in the video for that purpose. He had the guitar for a number of years before he finally gave it back to Joe Perry. Loved your reaction! 😊😊
I never was the biggest GNR fan but this song is a masterpiece. Slash on the guitar is absolutely magical on this tune which really pretty normal but this one is probably his best work.
there are little hints about what happened in the video, her sad smile on happy occasions , at one time you see someone's silhouette walk up to a gun store, the open casket with the mirror.
One of the most amazing songs ever recorded - and a stunning music video based on a short story about a musician who cheats on his girlfriend, and she ends up killing herself. For more mind-blowing guitar work by Slash, check out Paradise City!
Welcome to the jungle is a must my friend. This was the most expensive video ever made for the time. Great reaction as usual my friend and Peace out 🙏 ✌️ ☮️

@@JusticeServty! if you ever want any insight or background about the band-megadeth is a thrash metal band, people often compare to metallica, because dave mustaine, the vocalist and guitarist of megadeth was in metallica before getting kicked out and replaced and he formed his own band, which would become megadeth, and they're pretty heavy, fast and stuff... maybe you'd enjoy since you're checking out new music, sometimes people can't get into the lead singers vocalist...I mean, he didn't really have much vocal training at all but the guitar is out of this world.
Yes, this is back when MTV actually played music videos.
Slash doesn’t play guitar. Slash plays emotion through the guitar.

"Welcome to the Jungle" should hook you solid. I'm 66 and from outside of Cincinnati. Our Bengals use it as our theme song. Gets the fans pumped up! ❤

I really feel bad for the people who missed out on the late 80s and early 90's music. Timeless

Yeah Slash just has that cool swag going on
The fact that he’s a hell of a guitarist put another layer on it 😂
Thank you for letting the song play and not doing too much commentary, then making comments as needed, great reaction, good job :)
This is the second song, in a trilogy. “Don't Cry,” “November Rain,” and “Estranged.”
there are little hints about what happened in the video, her sad smile on happy occasions , at one time you see someone's silhouette walk up to a gun store, the open casket with the mirror.
Isn't that "silhouette" Axl's shadow?

Great song!
React to Estranged, it is one of my fav Guns n' Roses songs. Slash 👑
In my opinion, Estranged has the best guitar and piano of all their songs.
Then you gotta do their song ***DON'T CRY*** next! :) Don' you crryyyyyyyyyyyyyy :)
