Diesel particulate filter. DPF Regeneration. How to maintain your DPF

Diesel cars are meant to chew up miles. You need to drive it hard more often to have DPF regen occur. This is the natural, simple and cheap way to avoid clogging of the entire exhaust system

I call BS. My fishing boat runs at 1200 RPM for weeks on end. I have heard of London buses running in stop-and-go traffic and traffic jams. With no problems day after day almost running at an idle all day DPF is a failed government science project. That has more harmful emissions during regen than if it were to run continuously with out it.

Chevy states you can never idle a duramax.
And if you do it may re-gen so hard it pours fuel out the tailpipe.
How’s that for emissions😂

With my Mazda you have to do at least 70kmh to get into the regeneration phase.
So at least once a week do a run on the freeway.
