To be fair, the ketogenic diet is not just the foods you eat. It requires regular and intermittent fasting, it requires regular aerobic excercise, and to be complete also requires whole foods, which are difficult to find in box form.
You could inform the patients what kind of diet they are supposed to be eating so that when they see items that shouldn't be on their grocery list they can use their own brains to correct the error. They could also use keto stix to test their urine and make sure they were on track. Going to look for an update on this study now..

Why have I read many studies that high fat is not good for breast cancer. I went high fat with dairy, cheese, chicken, fish and fasted daily but my cancer spread to stage 4. I was so disappointed. Now, I eat carbs from fruits and vegetables not grains. With a little chicken, fish 2 servings month, eggs 2-4 month. I feel good but stage 4 is a death sentence and noone can show me any valid long term studies backing a full keto diet for breast cancer. Brain cancer, yes.👍 I wish we had more solid research. I would do whatever it takes.
You should NEVER consume dairy products when you have ANY type of cancer from most research that I've done. Cows milk is filled with natural hormones to help a baby calf develop, but the glucose (sugar) and hormones in milk would make the cancer stronger. Keto diet is good, just minus the dairy out of the Keto to make it healthier for your cancer situation. Remember, cancer THRIVES off of sugar and is sugar dependent.
I think consuming dairy products is very bad. But I was wondering if you tried to make fasting an integral part of your life when you went with the high fat diet? Problem is that cancer cells also live on glutamine, which is in every food you can imagine. Cutting the glucose supply is very good, but it's not enough. Which is why fasting is the best method of starving cancer cells. Its best to go no carb, low fat and low protein, and to consume nutrient dense food as well as flowery vegetables. I believe that would be most effective in killing off cancer.
