It’s frustrating just TRYING to get someone to try a keto diet even when they have a brain tumor. And the people around them too- they won’t try any of this. There’s nothing to lose! It’s maddening

Adam Dominguez I know what you mean. They see keto as just another diet fad which is unfortunate.

I think they’re likely just afraid of having false hope. While I have seen testimonies of others who have actually been in remission with alternative medicine, I understand having skepticism after receiving such a horrible diagnosis that is cancer.

BTW, I think an important message that shouldn't be lost here is...
while the ketogenic diet may not be as "effective" in treating cancer as radiation and keto combined, this should not be interpreted that a ketogenic diet would be ineffective in PREVENTING cancer in the first place.
    (Excellent and insightful talk)

My mother in law was diagnosed with TNBC. After reading Dr. Seyfried's case study regarding a patient with stage 4 TNBC, I came searching. This is so encouraging. I'm nearly crying. How wonderful. Thank you for posting. I hope people will listen.

As much as all of this info is downright groundbreak, i'm more amazed at how fast and articulate Dr. Scheck explains it.

If everyone stopped eating sugar, bread, and deep fried foods, disease rates would plummet. As a society we're eating ourselves to increased medical costs and early deaths. With fast food and sugary soda on every corner it seems by design.

Keto works but honestly I felt like shit from the beginning. I then tried the *Agoge diet* plan and it also worked, but I didn't feel bad at all, so I am sticking with the Agoge diet.

My 31 month old grandson was diagnosed with DIPG and is almost done with radiation. I have mentioned ketogenic diet several times but parents want to follow just what the doctor says. I feel frustrated,

That must be very frustrating.... god bless your grandson hope everything works out well conventional treatment is very ineffective with dipg. This probaly would of made the quality of life better.

Most of these diets are very bad to the body, some are outright dangerous. For me, only Agoge diet showed great results and was easy to follow.

What happens in establishment medical training that would cause someone as smart as this woman to think a ketogenic diet "snake oil." Particularly given the great research work done in the 1960s and 1970s?

After hundreds of billions spent to research cancers and could not figure it out, a simple and effective solution looks very suspicious. They failed to realize that all the $$$ was spent in wrong directions so it never works. Ketogenic Diet and fasting are the natural ways to prevent and cure cancers and tons of other diseases. They are cheap and effective but there is no money in it so not much interests to promote them. Medical fields are driven by $$$, so sad that they try to make things complicated so that they can justify for more $$$ for treatments and (fruitless) researches...

In the 60s is when the medical community started thinking high fat diets caused obesity and heart disease.

She is very, very clever. I would love to hear her thoughts about how her teams get grant funding as well as her view on the somatic mutation theory of cancer.

Was there any follow up? Any human trials or studies? If you cured 9 out of ten mice completely shouldn't there be studies with humans? Any info for triple neg breast cancer + Keto? Anything?

I read your reply before I listen to her talk. I could hardly get a breath from laughing so much at what she said. I have listened to numerous of these type of discussions and have a general understanding but her rapid fire use of scientific terms was not directed at the general TH-cam audience. I did get that she once thought Keto was snake oil so we are a lot smarter than she in that respect.

Who mentioned vivisection? It's much easier to operate on animals that are anesthetized or already dead.
