    Your interior sound quality of the video is what finally pushed me to purchase the R400 after months of debate between the Q300 or this. You can still hear the throaty sound, when accelerating, which isn’t as annoying as I thought.
    This has to be the best R400 video for the 2015+ WRX. Not necessarily the STI because of the sound difference due to the headers.
    Keep the videos coming.

    Lovely low depth of droning and rev without it being too obnoxiously loud and intrusive. The perfect balance for me!

    This thing sounds great!! I've owned my WRX for nearly a year and the mod bug is creeping in. I really just want to hear more of what's going on when I shift, without being excessively loud. This low-key bassy sound reminds me of the Apex'i WS2 I had on my previous car, and I loved it til the day I traded it in.

      @@CBrigsMedia There's a trick to get it to pop everytime. Going like 15mph in first gear, press in the clutch and give it a couple of revs (keep first gear engaged while pressing the clutch). It'll crackle and pop on command.

    5:56 The gasket your put between the car converter & resonator. Was that some sort of thick adaptor/gasket you brought separately or did you use the regular gasket that came with the pipes? Mines got a slight gap like it needs a bigger gasket. 🤔

    • @CBrigsMedia
      @CBrigsMedia  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Since i got the exhaust used it had no gaskets. I had to get them all from subispeed. It was a stock cat to 3 inch exhaust gasket.

      @@CBrigsMedia thanks for responding! I installed mine last night, it sounds amazing but I feel like it’s too loud in the obnoxious way which isn’t what I normally hear from ppl. I can hardly hear music playing… It wouldn’t been an issue if I didn’t have to drop my son off every morning. 😂 but I’ve seen times when they said an exhaust flange is definitely recommended which I definitely missed out on. 🤦🏽‍♂️

      If i shifted at the right rpm i would get a pop or 2 sometimes and also one when i rev matched down shifted just right. But i still had the stock cat so I’m sure there would be more with a complete exhaust versus just a catback.

      Mine wasn’t a problem used just make sure it is in good condition with all the hardware. Mine didn’t come with hardware or gaskets so you might be in the same boat. The gasket aren’t expensive on subie speed. I’d suggest getting new gaskets anyways if you get a used exhaust.

    Ya know I just put mine on and I’m not impressed one bit it’s quite in my opinion and it doesn’t pop too much I had 6 washers on each bolt of my muffler to my y pipe on my stock exhaust for a while and it was louder and popped and banged way more I think my washer mod was a better alternative that this especially the price tag difference let me know if yours pops at all and is loud cause mine is super quiet and I’m not very impressed at all

    • @CBrigsMedia
      @CBrigsMedia  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mine is still fairly quiet compared to cars with muffler deletes but much louder than my stock exhaust was. It does pop on some downshifts if i rev match just right but not super often. As this is my daily and pretty much stock i like how this exhaust changed the sound of the car but then again i think i would get tired of the noise if i popped and banged as much as bmws or vws do. Thanks for checking out the video and sorry about you not being satisfied with yours

    Love the first mod. The sound is good. I like the UEL sound on Subaru, shame that this car has an EL header. Not sure how you feel about it, but if you like UEL header sound, I'd like to see that next.
    Can't wait to see more mods and drives in this thing.

    • @CBrigsMedia
      @CBrigsMedia  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks man. I do like the sound of UEL headers on subies but this one doesn’t bother me much. I thought about swapping the header down the line but it takes away the power down low on these cars. With that and the fact i wanna keep this one as my daily it’ll be a little while before i do anything that needs a tune.
