He normally doesn't have this kind of feel. Really nice to hear.
He failed to use spoons during the Spoonman part. Very disappointing.
Actually found him to distract from the song with so many fills. I thought it fit perfectly on spoonman, but not rain.

I did not realize how much I needed to hear some Brann harmony vocals in an AIC cover.
I’m huge fan of Alice In Chains! I can say as a musician and nerd, this is truly awesome! I think Alice In Chains should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!!! One of my favorite albums, actually two of my favorite albums is Facelift and Dirt!! Well done gentlemen 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

I guess it all comes down to subjective interpretation, the self titled just comes out to me as the strongest of them all at what they are expressing. The entire album transpires desperation and decadence to an extreme and super genuine level.
@@miguelnascimento2847 hey man I love them all so I totally understand liking the Tripod album the most, it’s a great album with some of their best songs. Frogs/sludge factory/again/heaven beside you/grind/god am and fantastic songs, the whole album front to back is awesome. My fav is still dirt and I think jar of flies is also a perfect EP but Tripod is the shit. The run in the 90s was one of the best ever, facelift/sap/dirt/jar of lies/Tripod and then ending with the best unplugged performance ever imo, maybe my favorite stretch from any band ever. Love their last 3 albums too, Jerry Cantrell is a god

With Alice In Chains being such a tough band to do justice for, especially in the vocals, I honestly didnt have the highest expectations. I was soooooooo wrong, though. You guys absolutely nailed it.

The last time I seen Alice In Chains live was WITH, Layne Staley.
I saw them on the No More Tours Tour with Sepeltura, and Ozzy in 1994
Layne was a beast on vocals!
Pretty sure that was 92 not 94. I don’t think Alice toured between 93-96. Only a few shows in 96 and the unplugged
94-96 I mean. They toured until the end of 93 then quit

Part of this is the mix. Layne was in front of AiC. I think the vocal is good...just mixed badly.
Any sensible vocalist doesn't try to do Layne, thy just try to do it justice. I think they did good here too, and you're 100% correct, Layne was an absolute beast.

Is it too selfish of me to not want the pandemic to end because I want more of these covers? This has been one of the most amazing things to hear, watch and follow. I love all of these different musicians coming together to play such awesome stuff! I also feel terrible that there is so much talent out there that I miss because I don't necessarily enjoy the particular genre, but seeing them do other stuff that they may not normally, has been really gratifying! I don't miss live shows so much because in my youth, I worked way too freaking hard and never had time to myself. this being 2020, not I dont have the time or the money to enjoy it, so youtube is where i am. Thanks again guys, its great to see this continue happening!

the extra panache was great. dropping a few bars of different genres and that jazzy vibe at the beginning was poetry. you have excelled at the production and should be rewarded for your efforts.
Well restrained performance by Mr. Dailor -- sure, there were more fills than Sean Kinney, but about 120 fewer than Brann usually has. :) Not dissing - Brann's one of my favourite drummers. BTW - love the paint job on that kit.
Yeah I was wondering how Brann Was going to deal with that. Sean doesn’t really fill the way Brann does. The type of music is also important because Alice in chains sludge grunge doesn’t really need fills.

These little nuggets are awesome, i love rock and metal covers, especially when they are done well or worthy. Outside of metal, Alice is my favorite band growing up, always felt like there music was there for me. Snuck some Spoonman in there, nice.
