Random thought, but I wonder if any lift logic uses terminal commands, rather than buttons and an LCD, to give commands (i.e. having to enter in commands into a UART/serial terminal port). IMO, KCE has very little user facing difference to LCE. It was likely made to integrate all the functions of the DX class. Whether that's a good thing is a matter of perspective.
Yes. The Schindler Miconic V. The early versions had a serial to video out adaptor in the logic which you plug a screen into, then you plug a keyboard into a port on the logic, and you work with the logic through sending commands over serial. The later versions changed this to simply having a serial port, and you use a laptop to send and receive the serial data. This is the only example of a logic with direct terminal serial data. The majority of non relay lift logics have a serial port, but this uses custom data, and a program (often a win16 program) is used to interface with the logic. Also, there is some crappy German logic where to do anything with the logic you have to enter a coded command on a keypad. It is very user unfriendly.
The old 1960s Otis lifts at Arlington House margate would be replaced sometime this year to next year according to some sources. You might want to consider a revisit
I love NMX14. It is the best sounding ecodisc model. Here in the USA tons of them have been installed in the last few years. That is good because before this motor was introduced Kone often installed really terrible lifts with no chassis and a 4:1 roped MX10, probably because the MX20 was very heavy and hard to install. Also, I am always surprised at how behind the rest of the world is when it comes to bypassing safety. Here, most lifts built since the 90s have a bypass key switch inside the car and up/down key switches on the top and bottom floors. These exist even on non-MRL lifts.
There are 3 versions of LCE. The early version with the pull out chip - The jailbreak device doesn't work on this as there is no serial port. It is easy to jailbreak with the writing tool for the chip. The second version is the standard version that shows 5 and 7 when locked. The device can unlock this. The 3rd version is on this lift, which shows just 5 when locked. I haven't tried jail breaking this version yet.
Could you do a cheap flight adventure to Belfast again? You missed some Schindler M series that are original but the outside indicators have been replaced
For bypassing the safety, pull out the connectors and put a bypass loop in their place. For bypassing proprietary restrictions, for the oldest type, take the chip out and use a chip writing tool to change the variable for trip counter back to zero. For other types you can buy the jailbreak tool from ebay.
To move a lift that is not operating. Unless the motor or VF has blown, or there is no power to the lift, or there is a severe mechanical failure, then the reason why the lift is not moving is because safety is not connecting somewhere. The engineer will have to locate the point where safety is not connecting, and this involves moving the lift.
@@xxalexaviation I have seen Kone Monospaces do 100m+. In Singapore there is one warehouse and 3 of them are N Monospaces (or Monospace 500) that goes around 30 floors at 2.5 m/s
that low speed hum sounds quite beautiful on this motor
10:30 I’ve heard this hum in some ecodiscs even in normal operating mode. I have to wonder, is it a different VF Drive?

Kone’s NMX14 Eco Disc is the giga chad of elevators.

But which one of those Kone Ecodisc models are more reliable or efficient. Some interesting stuff on how you explained that how they work.
Oh is there new version of kone ecodisc now I didn't know that
Yay also I'm loving it in Egypt I've went down some lovely slides and went to some safety failure lifts with lovely motor sounds.
I’m in Egypt too in the Aqua palms hotel.
@@NaylenGamingTV omg come over here, also I got into the motor room of the lift in my hotel have you?
Can you please do a detailed look at Kone LCE? I don't understand anything of this Menus and it would be nice if you could explain it in a Video
When is the detailed look at LCE coming?
Soon, hopefully
10:27 "...and could crush them."
Doesn't that sound much worse when it sounds casual?
I will say though It's a very nice look at a lift though you're well detailed in you're filming
Warning!
My favourite ecodisc is the mx20
Beno what is your favorite kss? My favorite is kone kss d40
Beno, will you do a Cheap Flight Adventure to Cairo in Egypt? If you are in Egypt, you will have: *Egyptian Pound*
I might do. It is somewhere that I would like to visit.
Yes, and you will have *Egyptian Pound* if you're in Egypt.
The NMX 14 ecodisc is my favourite
Now I've had time to compare it I personally don't like the new black ring designs of KSS fixtures as the older designs.
What VF does it have (# in menu 6)?
Sadly the LCECPU was locked.
@@benolifts Ah ok. Don't you have that unlocking tool though? Or does it not work on this generation of LCE?

Hmmmm the lift may be 2.5 m/s but not faster for 28 floors because you don't want to be inside the lift for like 3 or 5 minutes
Most of the buildings this size have MRLs nowadays, which limits the speed to 3 m/s.
So much floors for mrl! It's interesing.
The CLONK is the best sounding brake
Hey beno by careful with elevators thoe can are really creepy, scary and terrifying

Why would an engineer bypass safety?
To move a lift that is not operating. Unless the motor or VF has blown, or there is no power to the lift, or there is a severe mechanical failure, then the reason why the lift is not moving is because safety is not connecting somewhere. The engineer will have to locate the point where safety is not connecting, and this involves moving the lift.
Come to Singapore, all LCE here are fully unlocked
Maybe a consumer rights thing. In Australia we have them all unlocked as well; I guess the ACCC came down hard on the practice.
I don’t like the design of this lift nmx14
Wtf I didn't know there were lift enthusiasts
Exposition!
Can you dangle on this?
Possibly. The shaft celling is quite high to reach the hook. The faster the lift, the more over run space it needs.
