Now that is an extreme stop. I like how that dispatch system has an added click to the touchscreen. I also like how the disabled access works. Makes sense. Yes, that's seriously bright in that lift. That 50s logic looks fantastic.
Nice levelling never seen a hydraulic lift so well adjusted. Slow leveling lifts make me feel sick. Even worse are lifts which wait for a bit after leveling.
Is the "engineers access" against health and safety? Agree, modern day lifts are crap. They don't make them like they used to. The only exception where I'd bet my money on is Mitsubishi. Maybe Kone as well.
Wonder how the more technical books of it would look. Looks like a very odd implementation, I'll ask around a few engineers I know if they know anything about this meeting safety standard
Modern Kone is shit. We 6 Kone lifts from 2015/2016 in our complex and that garbage keeps breaking all the time. The discussion to already replace them with stuff from a local lift builder is on the table. We have 12 lifts from that local builder in another complex that is very similar since 2014, when they replaced a MAN (yes the truck manufacturer) system from 1982 that already had vffr and spare parts simply weren't around but otherwise worked flawlessly. So we wanted to get ahead of a broken system that needs instant replacement.
@@no-damn-alias If you are based in the UK, be aware that there are no local lift builders (I am assuming that you are in Germany as you mention MAN, but I will still comment on the situation in the UK). There is no manufacturing of complete lift models in the UK. Any lift company that claims they manufacture is lying to you (certain parts, like Dewhurst buttons, are made in the UK, but this is not the same thing). Stannah was the last UK company to manufacture, and they stopped in the 2010s. In the modern day every small company buys in parts. They are generic companies. They buy in parts and assemble them. There is zero design quality, as the company is not designing their own lifts. Nowadays the companies are barely even choosing what parts to install, as they buy flat pack lifts that arrive in a shipping container with every part needed to make a lift. These lifts do not last long. They are low quality as they are built with cheap parts. And the quality of the install is very random. For every reasonable generic lift, there will be 5 terrible ones. It would be a very bad decision to replace a Kone with a generic in the UK (In Germany things are different as you have the Schafer generics that are better built). If you are getting your lift maintained by a small company, it isn't unheard of for them to overcharge and not do the work properly. Be very suspicious if they are the ones telling you that it is expensive to maintain the lift. Kone is one of the best companies for lifts in the UK. If they are not good enough then the only company better would be Mitsubishi. Are your 2015 Kone lifts NMX or MX? Some the old MX VF drives have issues. If so they it would be best to go back to Kone and get them to update the VF drive. Don't do it through a small local company as they don't seem to have access to the same parts as Kone does.
The hydros don't really like being safety broken, they'll try to shake you out of the lift car. it is an anti vandal system. (i pulled that out my ass)
why the hell would you need a E-Stop Key on the OUTSIDE of the lift?!....and a key to automatically bring the car to surfing posistion seems just....yeah..thats called a deathtrap switch
Lift companies: how harsh can we make our estops?
Beno: hold my special key...
8:13 I was not prepared for the descending opera singing 😂
The royal festival hall looks so empty and spooky, especially when coupled with that ominous lift music
Now that is an extreme stop.

Now that’s some very strange lifts. And some of them are very fast.
Beno might be my favorite TH-camr
Great video as always, Beno! 😁

Hydroware is better at levelling than this
When I was a kit all lifts (at least in New Zealand) had an emergency stop switch could be interesting on high-speed lifts.
I remember there was a Waygood-OTIS lift modded by Temple lifts in Southbank Centre when I went there back in 2023.
The outside inspection key switch seems scary, but I don't know how it could be worse than the US ones that actually bypass the safety circuit
The fact the harsh stop makes them even weirder...

@@benolifts There is also Shanghai Mitsubishi (a semi-generic) in the UK, installed by Stannah. What do you think of SM compared to other generics?
Glad your doing the talk over yourself again hated the weird voices

Crazy and fun day.
Never expected such speed for a hydraulic...
I revisited that singing thing in November and it couldn’t sing!
Ye should come to Bahrain m8, plenty of Schindlers here.
its just bouncy lmao
Trampoline lift!!
Leaving the floor of the lift while emergency stopping is crazy...
BRO try to do the same in: Poland, Szczecin, gryfice, Hosso centrum.
hey austin this is guys
There's nothing we can do to stop you
oh Beno...

I am wondering if health and safety allows this in the UK.
