Same for me, older EcoDiscs sound a bit noisy because of that "CLUNK!" noise while starting and stopping, but lastest generation EcoDisc have got rid of the clunk to reduce vibration and noise by redesigning the braking system to a highly efficient one.
talk to other Kone customers before entering into a contract with Kone, nice glossy video etc, but in reality very poor electronics and drives constantly blowing up (Kone fuse) as it's nicknamed, very poor installation quality, BUYER BEWARE.

The 4 big companies blow drives all the time. The 4 big companies use the same drives with a lot of control systems also.
