    It was there at the base of my thumb. Showed up one day and I had it for months. As soon as the doctor seen it she diagnosed it as a ganglion cyst. My father had a extra large one that required extensive surgery. Then one day mine was gone. Just like that. Now I kinda miss my little friend.

    Hi! I just had one removed today that I’ve been dealing with since 1993. It began affecting my healthy active lifestyle and hindering my physical fitness goals. So I’m hoping that the surgery performed today will be the last time that I have to deal with it.

    • @Love-Is-Kind
      @Love-Is-Kind 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @dc Slime Unfortunately it came back but the good news is that it doesn’t hurt nearly as bad as it did before the surgery on 20210310 (March 10, 2021). In fact, I spoke with the surgeon last month and he said that there were actually two ganglion cyst clustered on top of the bones that make up my right wrist. So when my wrist is at a perfect resting position, you can see the scar but when I hold my right hand out with the palm facing down, make a fist 🤛🏽, and point only my knuckles towards the ground it looks like another marble underneath my skin on top of the wrist just under the scar from the surgery. Oh well. The surgeon said that he doesn’t recommend doing anything else with it especially since it’s not causing me intense pain nor have a tingling sensation as before.

    I stopped using anti perspirant and after 16 years of having it it started to disappear on it's own. Over the 16 years I had it surgically removed and it grew back. I had it drained multiple times until the liquid solidified and I could no longer drain it. I went from doctor to doctor and nothing. Then I stopped using antiperspirant and within 2 years my cyst went from the size of a grape to the size of a lentil and it is still shrinking. It makes sense because the cyst pitched up after I turned 14 shortly after I started using anti perspirant regularly. It might not be the cause for all of them but might be for some. I would still consult a doctor to ensure it is a ganglion cyst. If you are struggling like I was it may be worth giving up anti perspirant.

    I hate ganglion so much, can't go hard at gym anymore. I used to have it on my left wrist and now It started developing on my right hand. I feel like I might have tendonitis aswell, my wrists started cracking really loudly out of nowhere and pain is slowly creeping up my arm to my elbows + had to stop playing OSRS cause that made my hands/wrists even more painful. I wanted to get surgery, but I really can't be bothered waiting 10 weeks for recovery. Gotta keep those gains. Also it might come back anyways so.... I also went to physiotherapist needless to say it was biggest waste of my time, dude didn't even know what ganglion was, he recommended bunch of excersises that made my wrists hurt even more. goddamit

    i have a knot in the same place but it doesn't seem to be movable. doesn't create any discomfort most of the time but when bending wrist backwards it prevents full extension and that's typically when the discomfort starts. or when carrying a heavy object and i tweak it just right. Sometimes it hurts for days, sometimes it only hurts for a little while. I'm pretty certain its NOT a cyst as it happened after falling off a motorcycle during a crash and over extending my hand backwards while catching myself. the fastest way i can show you the limited movement is to get into a push-up pose, i now have to do push-ups on my knuckles or with the injured hand at a slightly further out angle so my wrist doesn't bend too harshly.

      @@selenasanchez9677 I haven’t found out exactly what it is. But it sure feels like one of the bones is “floating” in my wrist. Doesn’t bother me most of the time. But anytime I tweak it just right it’s at least a full day of trying to get that bone back in place. Putting my head against my wrist and rolling it around with some pressure seems to get it to pop back in pretty easy. Also having someone pull your hand while you allow your wrist to go limp can sometimes relieve the pain.

    I had one on my right wrist near the base of my thumb. My chiropractor told me what it was and that if it didn't cause discomfort or pain it didn't need anything done. It was there for years. Not long ago it went away. I thought it might be because I made some diet changes for other reasons. Then this morning when I woke up there was one on my left wrist on the back of it right where the wrist bone bump is. It makes it look like that wrist bone bump is larger than usual. It doesn't hurt even when I push on it. So I guess its there until it decides to go away.

      It's still a ganglion. I had one in the same place......I've had three on the same wrist. All had to be surgically removed.

    When i just turned 14y old i was playing football with my brother(12y), and i was goalkeeping at that momentx we had just purchased a new original nike ball, we pumped it and started playing with penalties in a short distance(around 5m, because the goal was actually small 2m wide), so we cohntinued playing until he shoot with too much power and hit my left hand which i think got dissconented, it hurt for almost 3 weeks, i couldnt touch my hand it was so hurtful. Weeks very going but nothing new with my hand (tried the best to heal it) 1 year passed and this tummor started showing up, growing up little and little, the hand wasnt hurting anymore, now this tumor has goten much bigger now im 15y in five months im 16y. [Proces is about 1.7y old] .
    I would love any information from you as an expert doctor, for my hand❤😢
