    Kiwis have been a godsend through the cut and will stay during the bulk. Kiwi's are so solid for lots of micros and for fiber!

    I'd love to hear your opinion on this Shane , what's your view on borderline heavily obese open weight strongman ? Do you think alot of these guys could compete at similiar levels with healthy body fat levels ?

    In my experience, when I trained 5 days a week bodybuilding, I’d get fat around 3800 calories but training 4 days a week strongman, my maintenance is 5000.
    At least for me, doing grueling 2 hour max effort workouts with heavy sandbags, stones and viper presses seems to be way more demanding than pumping my delts for 45 minutes with puff puff raises.

    Great video. Thanks for doing this. Was hoping you'd do a diet video. I weigh 148kg and natural so I'd need 370 to 444 grams of protein a day? I was definitely one of those that bought into the "I need a shitload of calories" to be strong

      Depends on how much body fat you carry, think of it as kgs of lean body mass you need to support, not overall bodyweight

    • @MSTSystems
      @MSTSystems  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yeah I should of said kgs Of lean mass! I forget sometimes cos I’m shredded …. 🙄

    Nice video mate. What are your thoughts on intra workout carb supplements? and do you take anything to support joints and prevent pain?

    Know you ain't a fan of these kinda questions but still helps the algorythm so you'll forgive me, I'm on TRT and thinking of doing some anavar 50mg a day for a local comp and little bit of size would I need to PCT anything afterwards seems I'll still be on TRT during and after?

    • @MSTSystems
      @MSTSystems  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey man, if you’re on trt then no you won’t need to do anything after. Anavar is a pretty mild and safe drug but has great strength gains! So yeah go for it. Just watch your lipids if you run it for a while

    • @JAYGRANGE
      @JAYGRANGE 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So why are you on TRT? Is that your age?

    • @JAYGRANGE

      And where do u get Anavar?

    • @grumk1ll655
      @grumk1ll655 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JAYGRANGE hello mate I have numerous sources for anavar due to me going to gym all over for 15 years, and yes I began TRT protocol 4 months ago and I'm 36 in 3 months, I just didn't want to fizzle away and consistently get worse for essentially forever to me.

    Shane! I am fat fuck, natural and pretty strong. I am cutting atm. You consider I am ok with lower amount of protein per kg of bodyweight? Atm i get like 1-1.2g/kg. If i was "lean" that would be about 1.6-1.8g/kg.

    • @MSTSystems
      @MSTSystems  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah I would definitely be eating more protein, but a good way to find this out is to just use a note pad and write down how you’re feeling after workouts etc and how recovery is over all, then increase your protein and write down again all info and be honest with yourself and then reassess

    • @Rautajermu
      @Rautajermu 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MSTSystems Thanks! I was thinking of doing something like that. It's really amazing how you keep putting up content when I need it. :D Last half year or so, everytime when I started focusing on something new, you put up a video about it after couple of days. :D (log ebook, 6 week squat, deloading, dieting etc.) Thanks again!
