No respect for students? I was invited to train with Tony at his "private" gym in Chicago through a mutual friend. Tony gave me a week of training, let me stay in his home, introduced me to his mother, and gave me a tour of Chicago. He never asked me for a dollar. He is married to his craft, his students, and his middle name is Respect.

People talk a lot of shit about this guy but all of his vids in this series have something pretty sweet that I can use the next day in training. Good stuff.

@RichMorti The people who talk shit about him are either his "competitors" or else haven't any idea what they are talking about. Having trained with him -- after having trained some BJJ -- I can tell you that both are very good and real, but catch is far more brutal in its application, in my opinion.

When I get a chance I'll put up a video of a real double wristlock throw. There are videos on youtube of so-called kimura / double wristlock throws that are pure pro wrestling garbage, relying on a completely compliant component. And I wouldn't want to see people trying them in actual self-defense situations.

people talk a lot of crap about this guy. I got to tell you, I'd rather chew broken glass then have 2 fight this man. He would break me and I am no wuss. I would like 2 see some catch wrestling in real time like a competition. If anyone knows where I can find video of that let me know.

@cecchinecatch I would have to agree based on what I've seen in these videos. My only real criticism of these tapes is that exactly, some of these techniques are too friggin' brutal. I can't go around my gym trying to snap guys' radius bone. We're all just trying to have fun and get in shape.
These techniques are definitely applicable nonetheless.

@ccicc Are you one of his students? Because I am. As are the two others shown in this video.
He's also a friend of mine. Which came about because I was first his student.
    How do you know Tony?
