I lived a short period in Corner Brook back in my CFCB days. It was winter and lots of snow. Us east coasters are wimps compared to the west. But, during summer (my preference), Corner Brook is absolutely beautiful. Good coverage, Mark.
Went to CB for the first time last fall. I fell in love with the place the trees, the small town feel, the little stores and shops and places to eat. If I had to love anywhere else it would probably be there. It definitely stole a piece of my heart

Im amazed that the transcanada hiway goes beyond the avalon peninsula, east. The province spends on average 1 cent per 100,000 dollars on the rest of the province and labrador.
Hi, I apologize. I saw you ask this question on another video and forgot to reply. I am not as familiar with day to day life in Corner Brook as I am with the east coast of Newfoundland but it certainly seems to me that you should have no trouble finding part time work while you study!
@@MetapaloozaTV StJ has plenty of places to work and meet friends. However, we also have one of the lowest vacancy rates in North America, right around 1.6%, so unless you know someone here (or are rich) it might be a tad difficult finding a place to live.

@@MetapaloozaTV If you're looking to work in the film industry in Canada, NL is the not the best place to move. It's like being a filmmaker in the USA who wants to be based out of Maine, or Alaska, as opposed to Hollywood. As someone who attended film school in NL and has lived here all my life, that's the politest way I can sum it up for you. Whilst I can't speak for your bit about "nobody wants to get together and jam or go do stuff", I know for a fact that local fb groups have new posts almost every single day about people looking to jam or form bands, although it does depend on the kind of music you play. Sorry I couldn't paint a sunnier outlook, but the fact is though the location comes with lots of benefits it has just as many drawbacks, mostly due to the logistics of being located offshore.
Mount Pearl an "other" city? They get all their drinking water from St. John's, half (or more) of their residents work in St. John's, and they send all their trash to the St. John's landfill. Corner Brook looks nice.
Mount Pearl seems like a suburban wasteland. It feels very “car dependent” and full of stroads.
Can you tell me what the rent is like in corner brook?
I’m a TH-camr. And I want to live and work with other creators.
