Those ten things suck . The pedestrian mall will be cancelled because its hurts the businesses and it’s just a big hassle. George street fest is horrible. Few hundred drunk people who don’t care about the music, mixed with people who think good music is whatever k rock plays ten times each day. You’ll probably get robbed going to those two fish and chips places. Hard skeet’s everywhere. I wouldn’t send someone I cared about to that area. The houses are colourful.. wow. You wouldn’t want to step inside most of them. Gross. Regatta is for kids. And most kids want to leave after playing a few games. Quidi vidi is boring. Go there for a half hour and you’re bored to death. Bannerman can be nice I guess. The skating loop seems nice though I’ve never done it. It’s really small you can walk around the whole “ park “ in twenty minutes and there’s skeets everywhere bumming for change. Don’t mention the tent city that appeared there and quickly got shoved under the rug. Go to the rooms for the view? Oh my . Haha This town sucks and most people know all about it. They spent millions upgrading the war memorial for a parade because Trudeau was gonna be there,,, that’s the reason. All the surrounding roads are full of holes again now just a year later, not to mention all of downtown is gross and falling apart. If you have a lot of money. This place is horrible.

Yellowbelly Brewery in St. John's is excellent. Batter isn't too thick, and never greasy.

This is Newfoundland Canada this is our province this is how we do it. Normal Newfoundlanders are just nice people. Sometimes the language doesn’t translate well I’m sure.

How can you live this if you don't experience it? It's about the rugged land. It is about the outdoors, fishing,hunting, just walking in the woods.out in boat Jigging . Picking blueberries. You are not feeling it if housing do any of that. Just Sitting on edge of a wharf with a fishing rod. NL is in essence all about experiencing the rugged land.

Breakfast, Dinner, Supper in Northern outport Newfoundland! It did get things a bit confused once I got to the mainland. Da once: I had to explain to my Townie friends at MUN back in the 90's. "Me 'ole cock" I heard growing up as well as "who knit you?" My Pop always started his string of "curse" words with "Lard Tunderin" then continued with another 5-10 words depending on how mad he was. Did you ever say/hear "Some day on clothes"

I was born and raised in Eastport Maine, a fishing town in its heyday. Started hauling produce to Canada Packers all over Newfoundland in 1969 and hauled fish from all the Fisheries Product plants on the Island. I also hauled more bananas onto the island than there was cod on the coast. The moment that I landed in Port aux Basque I had a feeling of being Home. John Dawe was my contact for Fisheries Products in St Johns. He sent me all over the Island even to some areas that just had been opened by new roads. John was a good friend and on weekends that I couldn't load he took me to a lot of Pubs on the east shore. Played a lot of darts and drank a lot of beer and some "screech". Great music and fun. As I type this all I want to say is at 78 years old I should come back and retrieve my heart that was left there in 1980. Love Newfies and every square inch of Newfoundland.

My daughter lives in Botwood and first time I was there and looked around I was amazed with the murals! I can't wait to go back and look around some more!

Another lovely video again, Mark. I miss Newfoundland so much. I have been a lot of places but none have ever left me longing to go back; except for Newfoundland. I have never felt so at home as I did when I lived there. Thank you.

Is Coker’s’ home still open to the public? I never hear anyone mention it. I did a lot of exploring in Port Union in the late 90s and his home and his story as shown in his home is very interesting. It was electrically lit at the time and even that is interesting as to the type of electricity they did have. You have to pay to get in, unfortunately but it is worth seeing and I think you should go and see it sometime when you’re there.

Nfld is full of hidden gems, off the beaten path. Im from Corner Brook, glad we were a favorite place. I wouldnt be able to narrow it down. So much diversity & offerings to explore.
