note of interest Mick . We saw the QE11 come in this port of Corner Brook on her maiden voyage . The ship came in out of the fog and in the daylight , this scene was super , grateful to have seen this
I was born here in '62, and last visited back in '91. I enjoy little virtual visits like this, to see what's more or less the same and what's changed. And seeing the old spawning ground through the eyes of another is always fascinating. Thanks for the voyeuristic jaunt! 😊
Corner Brook's a great place if you love outdoors activities like hiking (or skiing in the winter), but if your jam is shopping and/or museums, then probably not as great. You'd probably like St. John's a little more, there scenic stuff, but also more shops, malls, and museums.
mick ; this is one port I would like to visit , although I live here . We have sailed on twenty - two cruises ,seen all the Caribbean with two repositioning cruises to and from Europe .We have tons of memories and photos .Sailed on five different cruise lines . Not finished yet , hopefully . Corner Brook is my reference port .
@davidsimon5689 keep the faith!! You will make it :-) if you need to know lines cruising there, email me cruisingsuitguy@gmail.com and tell me when you want to go
We were next door to you on the cruise! We were looking to see if anyone made videos about the cruise, and yours came up and we immediately recognized you from being neighbors. The videos are great! Thanks so much for making these!
Douglas good morning, I did enjoy it, but it wasn't Greenland... They won't give us any extra... next Saturday I have a video coming out which is basically my viewpoint on it, I am sure some people will think I am just complaining for the sake of it, but i think I have valid points that need to be shared...
can you get on a scenic tour from the port area when you arrive or do you absolutely have to book in advance? Could you hire a taxi to drive you around?
That varies from Port to port, in yhe Caribbean and Mexico absolutely yes, but I don't honestly remember seeing any here. It's not a big cruise port....

Awesome, did you see my daily vlogs?
Yes! We have watched several of them since we got back. They are the perfect length of time.
Good Evening Mick, I hope that you enjoyed your trip to Eastern Canada. I also hope that they ended up giving you a better deal for missing Greenland.
