- Sea fishing trip to Langney point Eastbourne in strong westerly winds.
Andy and I were originally going to Seaford after plaice but the winds made the beach unfishable so we travelled to Eastbourne to get some shelter with the wind behind us.
We fished a tide that was dropping with very cloudy water but did manage to catch but not the species we were after.
Used a mix of baits being fresh ragworm, frozen squid and lugworm.

Hi fellow good to hear from you and hope you and your family are all well. Didn’t expect to catch anything when we drove to Seaford where the sea was crashing onto the beach and the wind howling.
Fish were a bonus although we wanted plaice but water to cloudy.
But next weekend tides right and a few of us going to Pevensey digging bait then a fishing session so fingers crossed 🤞 cheers Paul 👍🐠🐠🍺🎣

Hi Carl from me and of course Andy 😃 have added another 60 yards plus measured in field with a lead and bits of putty on hooks to simulate bait. Still need to improve the swing into the power part of the cast, but practice and more practice plus adjustments on reels. Beaches down here pretty good but do miss the cod runs. Hi Andrew thanks for watching and commenting really appreciated, as for the casting am practising in the field behind my house and it has made a massive difference to the distance with not a lot of effort. Why I didn’t start this years ago. Am going to get a couple of lessons as well.
Didn’t think we were going to catch anything on Saturday gone as all beaches were unfishable with strong winds and big seas. Tucked ourselves up in the Lee at Eastbourne.
This weekend pumping lug and then a few of us fishing Pevensey as a good tide and hopefully not too much wind🤞take care cheers Paul 👍🎣🎣😃🐠

Was touch and go whether we would bother but was going stir crazy at home. Drove along the coast and the sea and wind were mad and managed to tuck ourselves up in Eastbourne with the wind slightly behind us. Didn’t think we would do to well but grateful for the whiting and dogfish will take them happily all day and great to see them swim away. Take care and fingers crossed for you re a thornie or two. Hi to you down in Wales, weather didn’t help as all along the South coast raging seas and howling winds. Tucked ourselves at a venue with wind behind us and wasn’t expecting to catch much on a dropping tide but as you say a fish is a fish and I beat Andy.

Thanks for the kind words and have been practicing the casts in a field nearby. Went out last weekend and rubbish hence no vid. Am out again tomorrow at Shoreham 🤞
We've had huge seas pounding the south coast most of the winter. If you could fish those seas the undertow would drag fish off the hook in no time. We've had brief cold spells when the wind was north - but usually the tides were RUBBISH! Very frustrating Winter season. Still got a freezer full of bait. 😦😦😦
Hi Kerry yep the weather can be a ruddy challenge and has put the fishing this year in the hit and miss category and Sod’s Law always seems to be windy at weekends.
We had a look at a couple of beaches on the way down this weekend and you couldn’t stand let alone fish and being near the edge of the sea dangerous with huge swells and big waves. So usually wouldn’t have fished but found a relatively sheltered nook at Eastbourne. Take care 👍🐠🐠🍺🍺
Really enjoyed this video even though Iam not a fisherman 😂 but used spoon net prawns in the deep gullies at the foot of bell tout cliff when I was a weee nipper, just subbed look forward to watching more, cheers

Have been away for three days to Chesil beach which is a fishing nirvana but just our luck easterly winds meant no fish biting and rain and strong winds. But still good to be out in nature with my fishing friends take care cheers Paul 👍👍👍🐠🐠🍺🍺

@@eddiebennett4234 Hi Eddie no we are off to Pevensey as long tide and we are going to pump some lugworm and dig for some razor clams. Basically loads of sand for us at low tide then fish the tide back up is the plan weather allowing 🤞🤞🤞

Hi Paul question for you how do you find that trolley you use 👍
Hi fellow had to adjust it a bit with some additional bars to stop the bag sliding back but it is a vast improvement on the last trolley. Main difference it’s lightweight and the wheels work really well over shingle.
Takes all my gear comfortably but getting old and need all the help I can get 👍😃😃🍺🐠
