Full respect for you sticking to that beach shelter nightmare to pull down. Would be good if joints were round and not d shape. Treat yourself to a igloo you’ll never look back. I’ve fished that spot to the left of the wreck had no joy but looked good as it was to far to the right of it where it fishes better. I was knackered walking to the left. Kniw it’s a lot of work but sometimes a move 30 yards back to car and set up again and your into fish or away from crabs. Persistence pays off well done on the bass. Well done on the two bass. Bigger one that one. Nice day for you good video. 👍
Thanks for the advice Vern but I’m going to stick with my Imax for the time being. As for moving further along the beach, knowing my luck the fish would just turn up at the spot I’d just left! I didn’t blank which was the main thing. Nice to hear from you Vern. Tight lines.
Thanks very much for sharing Sir! I always enjoy your videos, I am originally from the area (Peterborough) but left the UK 34 years ago. North Norfolk was always a summer venue before I left so I enjoy to see again. Glad you didn't blank, keep up the good work and tight lines Mate:) Cheers. Robert.
Thanks for commenting Robert. Still learning on the fishing front and on how best to video/edit the videos. Glad you like them. If you don’t mind me asking, where are you now? Still fishing?
@@theangliaangler I was in Australia for years, now I live and work in the Far East, Singapore but now in Thailand. A 2Lb Roach and 2 lower double carp from the lake I still keep membership of. Thanks again for your posts and have a great weekend. Cheers from sunny Thailand!
You did better than me! I was camping in Runton for 2 weeks earlier in August over the Cromer carnival week, 5 sessions 2 hours up, 1 down the tide mornings and evenings over a few venues resulted in 1 bite and that came off. Tight lines.
Well done on the bass,I couldn't be doing with the shelter ive got the bigloo like vern so easy to put up,great video keep up the good work, mate take care for now.
One of the reasons I bought the Imax shelter is because it folds down nice and small so it fits easily on my trolley and in my car. It was on special offer as well at the time. Alays like a bargain . Take care and tight lines.
Hi matey you ok, i was so pleased for you with you saving the blank. They are very lively the smaller bass arn't they haha. Love the show, All the best from GRIMSBY
Thanks Carl, hope all's well in GRIMSBY too. Yes they are very lively and those fins are very sharp as well, as my finger will testify! All the best and tight lines from NORWICH.
Well done for not blanking. I plan to go Cley next week for my first trip after a grueling 20 day course of radiotherapy. I have missed the beach so looking forward to it,
Hi Anthony. Firstly I reaaly hope that radiotherapy was successful. Secondly I hope you have good weather, and better fishing, catching plenty of fish. Have a great time at Cley. Wishing you all the best, Tight lines. P.S I’d be interested how you get on.
Well I went to Cley yesterday and to be honest can't exactly say I fished it. NE wind and high surf, 1st cast and the rollers rubbed straight through my line, next cast saw about 5lb of weed on the line as it was thrown back on the beach. I spoke to several anglers who had turned up for mackeral who didn't even bother setting up their gear. One chap had a cast and promptly packed up as he heaved in a ton of weed, you could see it in the rollers as they crashed in to the shore. Needless to say another blank. I dare say if I had gone today with the wind back in the SW I would have had a result. Still, got to keep trying. @@theangliaangler
So sorry to here that. I’ve had that happen to me in the past, its so frustrating. You get all ready, get bait sorted and then you get there and its a waste of time. The rough sea I can just about put up with but the weed, thats another thing, you spend more time cleaning it off your line than actually fishing. Don’t give up, just try and go when the wind is at your back as it tends to flatten the sea rather than roughing it up. Really hope you have better luck next time. Stay well Anthony. All the best from the Anglia Angler.@@anthonybox8016
Great video , thanks for sharing. I love fishing that coast, it's probably my favourite mark. How do you get on with your FX Fury rod? I have just got one and boy the joints are tight! I see your lower joint isn't fully home, will it wear in do you think? Tight lines 🙂🎣
It didn’t start well with the FX. Second time out the middle section broke when I was casting. Got a replacement section and not had any problems since. It has taken a while to trust it but I’m ok with it now. As far as joints go, I don’t think any of my rods have joints that go fully in. It just gives some allowance for wear over time. If you really want to ease the joints all I can suggest is to get some very fine wet & dry paper, then very carefully rub down the male part of the problem joints. I had to do this with replacement section for my FX as it only went in about one inch. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and commenting George. Tight lines.
I’ve tried braid before and given up after having problems with it, crack offs etc. Decided I won’t let it beat me, so having another go. Only with cheap stuff off Ebay though. I agree with you, it does make a weird noise when reeling in. Thanks for watching and commenting Steve, much appreciated. Tight lines.
