      You are very welcome! I also have a video showing a few different pieces of gold and what they read on the Apex... it can read all over the place! Wish you the best of luck out there!! 👍

    Hey TO, nice video. Here’s a tip - tie your target to a string to make it easier to locate in the soil when changing depth or the test is completed. Keep Digging!

    You should ground balance a single frequency metal detector to get the best performance out of it, good video though, thanks.

    I wonder if having it in Relic mode and enabling the lower numbers would hit better on the Vanquish?

    This is a good test and would love to see you do one with a silver quarter or dime with the same units and I see how deep each of them can go. Definitely should put the stock coil on a Simplex though to make it fair...

      Sounds like a plan! Might give it a go here soon, I always enjoy the curiosities of testing different detectors 🙏

      After every video on detectors I’m still in shock of how good the Simplex+ is especially for the price
      There’s no way I see to justify buying something 3X the price when you look at them side by side.
      Definitely not 3X the performance over the Simplex+.
      I’m no pro so maybe I’m missing something but from what I’ve seen the Simplex+ is a beast because everyone is testing these $1,000+ machines against it and it’s undoubtably holding its own

    I live in Brevard County, central Florida, close to the beach. Which out the 3 would you consider to be the Best one out of the 3 overall? I go to the beach often, but would probably be using it on the mainland a little bit more. Maybe a 60/40 difference between uses of it on Mainland/Beach

  • @VegasDtech
    @VegasDtech 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Great job on the video.. All three of those detectors are damn near neck and neck. the numbers start to degrade into uselessness the smaller and deeper the target. Then its the thing of - will you realistically dig spotty clicks and chirps.. My park finds are realistically 6 inches or less. I'll recover any repeatable signal be it one way or both ways.. intermittent non repeatable clicks and sparks.... i usually walk - good content

    • @TreasureOutdoors
      @TreasureOutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep.. ain't that the truth.. even if they can hit it a little deeper will it matter if it doesn't produce a good clear tone... always enjoy doing curiosity tests.. vanquish seems to do better when it comes to repeating tones.. I did whip out the simplex big coil this morning and ground balanced to see if it could hit it down there...

    Agree with Coin Spader. Give a chance to the Simplex and make it to ground balance. Otherwise I've recently purchased an Equinox 600 and is awesome on the beach, that's the best legal way for detecting here in Spain. But I think that the Simplex does a good job on field or park too.

    The simplex was my first machine. After I updated it, it went to crap in my opinion. I sold it and used my finds money to buy a vanquish 540 and haven't looked back. Since then I've bought a equinox 600 also. Minelab makes superior machines when compared to others in its class. I haven't got a chance to try the Garrett Apex yet, but hope to someday. I love your videos bro, keep up the great content !!!👍😎👍

    • @TreasureOutdoors
      @TreasureOutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey it's cool! I love that thing! I actually modded it myself, it's originally sold as an electric dirtbike (Razor SX500) for kids / teenagers but I learned through youtube how to upgrade them, it went only 14MPH and struggled through trails but I swapped the motor for a 3000w brushless motor ($100 ebay) a BIG 60 volt lithium battery which was the biggest cost (around $350 ebay) and a new speed controller that makes it rip through trails... I made a red one before this that in total only cost about $350 it was 48v so it went a little slower and didnt have as much torque but still fun!! appreciate you stopping by! sorry for rambling! 🤠

      That is what I like to hear!! Awesome man! I have been honing in on those low tones lately... have not had gold in a few months.. been focusing more on those low 20s these last two weeks.. I am thinking that is where the majority of common gold falls... really wanna get a gold chain.. ever find one with the simplex or see a video of one being found? Trying to hone in on the potential numbers, the ones I have seen online were ringing around 18 I even saw one that sounded like iron.

      @@TreasureOutdoors it was my first gold ever. Thought it was bling as it had diamond chips. Tested it and boom. Chain is tough to get a read on from what I have seen. Fun with Jim has found some but with a NOX and even it barely beeped.

    Which one would be best for the beach ?

    • @TreasureOutdoors
      @TreasureOutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would say the Vanquish or Ace Apex for the beach they perform better in my opinion. But the simplex is the only completely waterproof machine of the three so if you wanted to take it completely under water you could. The simplex works at the beach but I think you'd have a better time with Vanquish / Apex for beach hunts.

    If this is a depth test, why is the Simplex the only one with the small, non-standard coil?

    • @TreasureOutdoors
      @TreasureOutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good question.. I probably should have kept it stock for this test but I thought the SP24 coil was more comparable in size to the others.. I did go out this morning and try with the stock coil plus tried ground balancing on the stock and SP24 and surprisingly it did not make much of a difference... though I have heard in the past that some small coils are actually more sensitive to small objects. These are always just for fun.. could be completely different circumstances in a different soil type though. I think they are all good machines and are able to find shallow small gold especially modern gold at parks and such. 👍

    I would have used the Stock 11inch Coil for the Simplex as the other 2 had there Stock coil.. In Theory size of coil gives that depth on a quarter size object.. Other Wise still a great video on a small gold target at max depth for all 3 detectors.. Thanks For sharing

      Agreed.. I was just going to mention the Stock coil vs the other 2 using their stock coils for this test.. The SP24 coil is whats on my simplex. I do notice a 2 inch drop in air tests.. but as i mentioned.. my park finds are 6 inches or less.
