  • Want to see more metal detector testing? Please subscribe and SPANK that THUMBS UP to inspire me! SIMPLEX VS VANQUISH VS APEX WHO WINS? This is NOT a video to say one of these detectors is better than the other, this is just an "unofficial" depth test using two 10k gold rings comparing the Simplex, Vanquish and Garrett Ace Apex Metal Detectors.
We test these gold rings flat at two different depths. We see how sensitivity & EMI effects the detectors readings plus we try different modes on each detector.
RUNNING SIMPLEX VERSION 2.78 PREVIOUS VERSIONS MAY EFFECT RESULTS! I HAVE HEARD 2.77 GOES DEEPER, HAVE ANY THOUGHTS ON THE SUBJECT? ALSO RUNNING ACE APEX VERSION 1.28! NEWEST UPDATE!
    Stock Simplex+ 11" x 11" Search Coil VS Stock Vanquish 10" x 7" Search Coil VS Ace Apex 6" x 11" Viper Search Coil
These are awesome detectors and I will let you make your own conclusion as to who won this one! Your ground conditions may vary which could sway the results. This is a simple test in my soil down in Florida.
These tests were done in moderate soil on land, I believe if this same test was done at the beach in salt water the Vanquish / Apex would have the upper hand.
We try to give each Metal Detector a fair chance to read two 10k gold rings under the ground.
Remember everyone, depth is not everything. All 3 of these detectors have their unique strengths and weaknesses. The Vanquish is a KILLER on the beach, a good detector to get if you mainly detect on the beach and can not afford or do not want to buy an equinox I like to call the vanquish the "baby nox" - The Simplex is a strong, durable, waterproof metal detector that does an awesome job on land, has a very fast processing speed and many beneficial features such as a rechargeable battery, back light, vibrate feature, multiple tone sets & more. The Ace Apex is a nice machine to get you the best of both worlds... with the new update the Garrett Apex is a lot more enjoyable to use and very quiet out at the beach.

I like seeing how each metal detector preforms differently and enjoy learning their strengths and weaknesses along the way.
I currently make videos with 4 different Metal Detectors - Nokta Makro Simplex, Minelab Vanquish 440, Garrett Ace Apex & my newest addition the Minelab Equinox 600.
    Gotta have 'em all!

So glad this popped up in my feed. You've just reignited my interest and passion for metal detecting. I came across very very bad times(like everyone else) during the pandemic, but mine were quadrupled due to already spiraling into the pits of hell prior to the China Virus. I unfortunately had to sell all my detectors and equipment, which broke my heart so bad that on my way to the Greyhound station from FLA to TN with 7 bags/suitcases, basically dragging my whole life with me struggling to move back home with my mom and sister, I even threw in my starter detector, a bounty hunter quicksilver, as a tip to my Uber driver. I only had $10 for a tip and he drove me 2 cities away to the nearest Greyhound stop, and it was an awkward carry. That first lil BH paid for itself and my next Garrett and probably the one after that along with some tools. I remember watching youtube back then when I first got intrigued and you and Nugget Noggin were the ones who got me hooked in and started my journey. I'm still in the hole a little bit(but way better off),but still the struggle is real, having 5 children and a failed business. I finally just landed a job and start orientation next week to get back to the 9-5 grind, so it'll remain tight for my finances for a little while longer, but after just binge watching several of your videos, the Thirst, Encouragement, Desire and just remembering the Love I have for the Hunt was just instantly reignited‼️🎯💯🏴‍☠️🧲🎣🏹🔍🎧💎⛏️ I'll be saving Every penny for the next month and going to donate plasma, collecting cans & copper, whatever I can do to now buy me another detector and start Hunting again. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!! Apologies for the long comment, but this is the second time you've inspired me to chase this dream with actual passion and if any advice, please add. 👍😅🙏🫵

Buen video. Saludos

I own an Equinox and a Vanquish. I use the Equinox with the 6 inch coil in parks or curb strips but the Vanquish is my go to machine on the beach. I love the solid numbers the Vanquish records where my Nox at times can be a little jumpy. I watch your hunts regularly. Keep up the good work.

@@3starperfectdeer233 in Florida the area between the sidewalk and the street know as curb strip is considered public property and is free access for hunting. Minelab electronics are pretty impressive. So solid VDIs! Love my Nox on the beach (last night under a heavy rainy storm on the beach and picked up some coins and scrap jewelry) but I think that if I'd make a field hunt, I'd probably choose oftentimes the Simplex because it's tough as fuck. VDI and tones are not as solid as Minelab ones but with both machines, I'd probably dig the same targets.

    • @TreasureOutdoors
      @TreasureOutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

Simplex can take a beating 👍 Just depends on the person and day I think, some days I may have skipped over those rings with the simplex but with the vanquish tones I think I would dig that every time... to be fair my local modern parks mostly have jewelry close to the surface but it's nice to know if there is something way down there which machine can hit it solid 💪 and of course it reminds me to dig those iffy signals with the simplex.. wish you luck out there! The gold is waiting for us we've just gotta swing over it and choose to dig!

Would like to see this with the SP24 coil as thats the one I use especially in parks, my guess would be more stable vdi with the smaller coil.

The signal sounds shorter on the vanquish in coin mode because the recovery speed is faster in this mode. Its normal. In relic mode the signals are longer because the recovery speed is slower.

The Apex VDI is all over the place, as other reviews have said as well. Disappointed that the latest update didn't help that. I'm probably going to sell it. Minelab wins for discrimination/stability/sensitivity, though I prefer ease of use and the 0-99 range coming from a Garrett. I've owned an ACE 200 (very first machine and found gold/tons of clad with it), Equinox 600, and the APEX. The Simplex looks very good and would like to give it a try. I've had a lot of issues with multifrequency in city parks. So much chatter, you couldn't even hunt with it due to EMI. Sometimes single frequency is best. I've found more in single than multi, but that's in city. I bet that multi would be better in an open field or beach. Good test between the three machines.

You are on point with this comment. My first "real" detector was also the garrett ace 200 and I found my first gold with that little guy! So, I am ready to purchase my first metal detector, and this video has two of the ones I've narrowed it down to. The Minelab Vanquish 440, and the Nokta Macro Simplex. You mentioned that the Vanquish was better for the beach, and you liked the Simplex for parks. So my question is, if you were to own just one of those two to do all types of detecting, seeing that they are both around the same price point, which would you own. I kinda have the one in mind, and I just wanted an honest opinion to see if I'm on the right track, or I may be off base. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and videos. @@kylecogar3867 honestly can't go wrong with either...I just think it clicked for me...super easy to use when you get used to it...a little better (to me at least) for fine tuning and customizing for my hunts. And ergonomics....super comfy in my hand and to carry around and use a long time. Wife didn't care either way as both work well. I didn't quite get the discrepancies between frequencies when I tested them out in the yard or used them in the field...

Man I really like that vanquish 440, but I also like the price of the simplex better. Plus the simplex has a light up display. Such a hard choice. And the ace apex cost to much imo.

I agree the Apex price is just a little too high. Simplex is a great choice, you get so much for your money with that thing and it's a tank.. find that nice chunky gold ring then buy you a vanquish too! lol

Probably get a tie between the vanquish in the Symplex in my opinion I don’t own a Symplex I’m going to buy one and I’ve used my friends and I’ve seen all the videos on the Symplex but I’d like to see more videos on the vanquish only ones out there mainly is on the 540 I want to see videos on the 440 and the 340 to me I think the 440 is a good good metal detector you know for the price should be in multi frequency probably if I owned a Symplex I would probably be hard to say which one I pick up first the vanquish or the Symplex they’re pretty much tied in my in my book stuff for the lake which is multi frequency so it it it be it’s kind of a hard decision between them to which one I pick up firstBut I canDefinitely not an Apex me and I can tell you that I love mine lab and I like the Symplex also but that’s my two I got an equinox 600 that’s my that’s my number one detector and the vehicles for 40 because that’s all I have I will be buying a Symplex when I get a good deal on one just so I got all three of them and I’ll switch back-and-forth but I’d say I rate my 440 pretty high to top all three of them might see the equinox number one and it’s a tie between the Symplex on the 440 language

The Vanquish and Apex (like all Garrett models) have a very noticeable delay in processing speed making it difficult to pinpoint objects, making the Simplex a strong contender at any price.

  • @leewood331

The only thing you proved is anyone with a detector who does not know what he is doing is a fool (and having less VDI range has nothing to do with "a more solid i.d.": you actually have less because the TID is compressed and more targets are falling closer together.)
