I remember fighting the bedrock wither. I had no idea how powerful it was at the time and had only seen Java players fight it. My entire world nearly got destroyed even though it was underground. I now fight it in easy mode.
Always fight a wither in an open area. caves are the worst place to fight a wither especially if your using a low end device because it will soon turn into a 2v1 (3v1 if you play in a server with high ping)
My friends and I tried to fight Whither on bedrock edition, they got killed instantly by it, even with netherite, for some reason he ignored me and started destroying nether, causing a lot of lag, we were obligated to put in peaceful 💀
4:53 Bats are technically useless but I did have one save my life once in a survival playthrough. I was caving when suddenly I got ambushed by what felt like a billion zombies and skeletons. Luckily I got through them all but there was one skeleton I missed. They hit me and I was on one heart by the time I saw them and they were charging another shot. I didn't have the reaction time to block their arrow, but luckily at that very moment a bat took the arrow in its wing, at which point I was able to quickly take down the skeleton. I will forever respect bats in Minecraft for that reason.
Honestly the lava Strider should be significantly higher. Having that method of fast-travelling across huge lava oceans when you don't have an Elytra is a godsend if you're looking for bastions and fortresses. They really speed things up.
@groshomme3528 The thing is, Lava Strider travel is a lot safer than bridging over the lava oceans, and it's much easier to pivot into different directions of travel than bridging. This is especially true with Ghasts being a huge problem when bridging in the nether.
@@MeargleSchmeargle hum ig, idk i dont play survival rly but i speedran for about 50h and usually you bridge faster than ghasts, cuz when they shoot they shoot where you are they don’t predict ur location, but bridging you can fall so i get your point
Fun fact: you said in the video you hope theres gonna be more mob heads from charged creepers exploding, in one of the new snapshots it added the piglin head drop and now if you place a head on a noteblock it makes the sound of the mob!
now piglin heads drop from charged creepers… but like… how? Since creepers only spawn in the over world and after a piglin is exposed in the over world for 15 seconds… it becomes a zombified piglin. I don’t know, Minecraft is goofy sometimes.
I personally thought the Vex looked stupid before, while they look much cooler now, after being changed to look like Allays. It's like getting attacked by evil pixies with swords, which is something uniquely intimidating that just really doesn't exist in real life.
Yeah, plus it adds to the worldbuilding that Allays and Vexes are related, perhaps Vexes are Allays that the illagers corrupted with the same magic they use to turn blue sheep into red sheep
As a great lover of the mule, I think it's fairly under-rated mob. It has the speed of the horse parent and the strength of the donkey. This is great for anyone who wants to play Don Quixote and spend their game exploring the overworld.
Mules are cool and underrated, a combination of the horse's speed and the donkey's chest holder, but the only problem is that you can't put armor on it.
@@Odyssey_Central you are wrong to phantom has one good quality the design the rest does suck but the design is good and the glow squid, allay, and wandering trader are worse then the phantom
I think you should have mentioned the intricacies of Piglin behavior. The have bartering, the dislike Wither Skeletons and fight them on sight, they will occasionally team up and hunt hoglins, and very rarely they will do a dance after a successful hunt.
11:58 If you place a fire in front of the snow golem the snowballs can cause damage against hostile mobs. that way you can set them up around your base as turrets to defend mobs from wandering around
It's not that great though, first you have to set up the building, making the snow golem turn into a stationary turret, and the worst of all it does not protect the snow golem from ranged retaliation, though they are cheap it's still just a hastle to rebuild them only to lose against a skeleton.
I feel the killer rabbit was removed for a reason. it was stated that it was removed because it was an overused reference and also a "random death event" for any player that was unlucky enough to encounter them. Also a reference to the killer rabbit already exists in one of the splash texts in minecraft.
Yeah that always been the most stupid I’ve heard to remove a mob and to this day can’t fathom the logic behind it. It would be like if they removed the dinnerbone tag because too many people have seen it
So a rabbit who does barely any damage is a "random death event" and unfair, but the completely silent creeper who can blow you up and kill you instantly is perfectly ok? Nice one, Mojang.
Also worth noting, if you’re a new player or spawn in a region where there aren’t very many sheep to kill, the phantom becomes a menace which exists solely to punish you…for not being able to craft a bed on your first couple of nights.
You could just dig into a hill and stay there until morning. Leave a small opening so you can still gather materials from any mob that decides to visit.
I haven't played minecraft myself in a while but mostly all the original mobs haven't changed much if at all. Unintentional nostalgia attack, minecraft really stays timeless.
Skeletons got an Aimbot Zombies can now see you from MILES Creepers can be charged with lightning Spiders (on hard/hardcore) get a chance to have a random potion effect Endermen didn't change but are still cool as fuck Cannot think of any more "og (hostile) mobs" Pigs, Cows, Sheep and Chickens didn't change at all! but hey, they're doing their job, they're a good food source They had some changes, though! :D
Don't forget that you can feed a brown mooshroom either a dandelion or a blue orchid to get the best food in the game (in terms of hunger restoration per item): Saturation Suspicious Stew
@@groshomme3528 it is the best food if we're only judging it per 1 item but stackable foods are still better especially if you adventure a lot since you can't bring the brown mooshroom with you and even if you can, you need two inv slots for the bowl and flower of your choice.
1 thing people always forget about the parrot is that they mimic the sounds of mobs meaning you could just be wandering around and suddenly your parrot makes a freaking creeper sound and scares people so bad. That alone is enough for me to not like them and it takes a lot of resisting to not tame one (since I love the design)
I personally hate the vex redesign. The only thing it has going for is its bigger ties to the allay, but the fact that they're both ghost-like creatures that can be found in woodland mansions is already enough for me. Otherwise, this redesign completely ruined everything the old vex design did well. I know some people think it looked like a weird reskin of Steve, but I think it had good things going for it, like its creepy evil smile and the head being smaller in comparison to the rest of the body. The new design threw both of these things (and probably more) away, making the vex look more like an angry puppy than an evil ghost.
@Galego Paulista I was never scared of this thing, even if it had a creepier design the fact that it's just an ad enemy and is super small just makes it more of an annoyance. And it doesn't just imply that they're similar but in my hradcanon the illagers corrupted the allay into these vexs in their expirements.
@@smollmoth6376 I didn't say the old vex design was creepy. It just wasn't as non-threatening as the new design is. And like I wrote before, that last piece of lore you mentioned was already made explicit enough without the new design.
@Galego Paulista I shouldn't argue like this because it's just design preference and it can go on forever, and I'm sorry for starting this. And I'm also sorry for antagonizing you.
I can only vouch for bats on a VERY specific scenario. They can unintentionally, by sheer luck, take a hit from an arrow for you lol It's also funny to hear them burn in lava lmao
You left out the worst part of the Drowned: If you don’t have really good armor and weapons yet, fighting a trident Drowned is SO HARD. Even if you’re not actively seeking them out to get their tridents, you’re gonna end up fighting one if you explore the ocean at all. It’s a really annoying barrier to ocean travel unless you’re in the late game.
@@williamdrum9899 EXACTLY. And they’re basically unavoidable if you’re traveling on the ocean at night and can’t reach land in time to sleep, and if you DO manage to kill one, there’s only a small chance of getting a trident out of it! People give phantoms crap, but drowned are the real worst mob.
@@mirandatagliamonte9754 In Java, tridents may as well not exist. Not only are they MUCH more rare, let's not forget that you basically need to get two of them to craft them together so you have a decent amount of durability left.

@@abdurrahmandureng…which are some of the most interesting and most challenging hostile mobs in the game. We need MORE! Add all the variants from Minecraft dungeons!
In defense of llamas, they do serve one unique, potentially useful purpose: Their following mechanic could allow you to transport many more item stacks than your inventory space with nothing more than a single leash/lead. In a long-play survival world, I could easily imagine someone wanting to move their whole base. Llamas could help a lot with that.
Not really all that useful since leads are craftable and lama's have like a 1/2 the inventory space of a donkey on average and requiring a long term eugenics plan and months of effort to manage to breed one that will only ever be at BEST on par with a donkey's inventory space. They are basiclly just worse donkeys.
Llamas actually do have one useful mechanic, although I don't use it often. If one llama is on a lead, nearby llamas will follow. Since you can put chests on them, its basically early game shulker boxes.
I'm a relatively new player and I came up with my own food farm, specifically a fish farm, thanks to the natural behaviour of foxes. I was on a small taiga island and they kept swimming in the area swiftly catching and dropping salmon. Thus an idea was born: just fence the foxes into a large pond and go fetch the resulting loot. Only recently did I modify this using underwater magma blocks and bubble columns to suck down and kill fish instead, but I can never make those on quite the scale my foxes could.
I LOVE the Vex changes. The old model seemed so out of place to me, why does an illager randomly spawn a way smaller player model with backwards bend legs and wings? The new Vex not only fits with the story of the allay but style wise much better into minecraft
The wondering trader is also very helpful to people with old worlds so we don’t have to travel hours to find new wood types. We can just start farming right away
You forgot that brown mooshrooms can eat flowers and depending on the flower they eat they can give you the suspicious stew effect that flower gives by using a bowl on them
If Mojang removed the feature to put mending on Elytras, The Phantom actually might have importance. They drop phantom membranes which can repair elytras
Phantoms are really cool and unique in theory, and on paper I understand how they won the mob vote - it’s a hostile flying mob! It has a unique mechanic! It has a unique drop! Its design is pretty damn neat! But then you actually implement the mob and it just doesn’t hold up. RIP.
I really hate how modern mojang sidelines them for our 10,000th “atmospheric” peaceful mob that does like 1 thing useful to survival players. Thankfully they’ve been adding more lately with the warden and breeze, two of the best monsters in the game. Hopefully the iceologer comes soon!
Honestly I love the bedrock wither. It's actually challenging and when it burrows underground its so cool just chasing it through these giant tunnels it's creating as you try to block the skulls and whatnot
the ravager is my 2nd favourite mob behind the iron golem and I wish the ravagers had a special drop making them more useful, maybe a raveger tooth which could be used to brew an obsorbtion potion due to their health pool
I remember a few years back, I was in a survival server with my friends. I gained the trust of a fox, then me and a friend secretly gave it a sharp IV Netherite sword. Any other player that attacked me at my base was in for a nasty surprise 😈 Good fun and shenanigans were had with those critters, I love them so much :)
I must state that riptide III and feather falling IV are a killer combo for navigation. Those annoying water spouts to climb in caves become trivial, and during rain, a riptide III trident and elytra basically remove the need for fireworks
@@nilsboer2390 Wow.. hold on.. my brain realized this mistake far too late! I think my brain just assumed feather falling was like other enchants, where you usually get 4, but 5 is obtainable. I didnt know feather falling actually capped at 4.

I do think Pufferfish could have been a bit higher, as they do make for good proximity sensors for redstone. I think you put it in a waterlogged fence then put a pressure plate above it, and when it inflates due to player proximity, it'll activate the pressure plate.
@@tassaron I do know the fence has to have blocks on all sides to make the four-way intersection piece for the pufferfish to be in, and you want the pufferfish to be closer to where you expect players to be. Works best when set up in a corner.
(12:50) I’ve been playing a whole lot of Minecraft Bedrock recently and drowned spawn like there’s no tomorrow, meaning it’s a decent bit easier to get tridents, especially if you’re like me and set up base right next to a river
One small detail regarding Slimes and Flat worlds: They do not spawn everywhere. They still stick to their usual chunks. But they are the only hostile mob that will spawn at high light leven and will quickly spread so that it looks like they spawn everywhere
I like when people make videos of different games instead of the same cause that usually means that they wanted a little change and they enjoyed making this video 😭
Another feature about cats that I only know because I loved them as a kid and always had them around: as you sleep, the cat will lay on you and sometimes bring you things like fish and string.
For the ocelot, there is an achievement in Bedrock edition that requires you to "gain the trust of an ocelot" There is also an achievement that requires you to lead a caravan of at least 5 llamas. If you don't know, if you put a lead on a llama, other llamas will follow that llama like a train. Wandering trader llamas do this too.
If you kill a witch while it's drinking a potion, you will get that potion as an extra drop. Neat little detail. The pig was the first (well, intentional) mob in the game (unless you count Steve). Strays also drop arrows of slowness instead of normal arrows. Also you can still get most illager variants in woodland mansions. Finally (I hope), if you spawn the wither under the end's exit portal, it will rise into it and suffocate.
Like 6 years ago my little brother built a big base of INFESTED stone bricks in creative. He switched to survival to mess around and the whole house became silverfish
I think if there is an end update, the phantom should be moved there and only spawn under certain conditions or in specific biomes. It'll encourage exploration in the end to repair your wings

I'll never understand why people find phantoms so annoying, just hit them as they dive you. It's not hard to time at all and if you're mid to end game and have a sharpness 5 nethwrite sword it will two tap them with no crits. Also lamas can have chest put on their backs to help transport large amounts of items.
For real, if you don't want to deal with them, just use a bed. Plus, vex should get more hate because they don't drop anything you and are phantom on crack. So phantom shouldn't be last.
If only it wasn't the thing when you try to build something big in your world and stupid phantoms are keeping distract you (and even push you down from the build). Why not to sleep? For example - you building something away from your base, and, also, some people like to have full days count in their world, which means "no" to sleep. So, no. Phantoms ARE the worst
Yeah also the whole "its punishing to people making the hard choice" uh yeah thats the point, go mining without torches and when you complain that the game is punishing you for that. people will laugh at you.
@@dolphin5177that’s stupid and you completely missed the point anyway. The entire challenge is never seeing them in the first place which isn’t much of a challenge.
Bats and polar bears (not ice bears) have unique coding, bats fly randomly, so turning it invisible and having another mob ride it makes really cool monsters, and polar bears only attack the player if you are between them and it’s baby So both are good for map makers :)
"Can't you just sleep in a bed?" No, because there are 20 people on and it requires 100% of people sleeping by default. Default should be 51% or something
you forgot to mention the hunting mechanic of the cat: when you sleep next to a cat, it will sleep on you and you will get a random item like leather, phantom membrain and string
If you ever see a mule, it’s actually quite useful. Since it’s a horse-donkey hybrid, it can both carry chest and be decently fast, at least faster than the donkey.

Also it's worth mentioning that Pillager after a long time can break his crossbow and be without a weapon and somehow he doesn't melee you or anything so he is "peacful" which is cool. Villagers still ran away from him though
Further on the Witch. Not sure if it’s still a thing, but I know in o,d versions, if you killed them while they were drinking a potion, they have a chance of dropping it, I (to this day) wait until I see them sipping from a potion to deal the killing blow

That's awesome. Also they're not totally useless as hearing them indicates a cave or ravine is nearby, so they can have some usefulness while mining.
Honestly the lava Strider should be significantly higher. Having that method of fast-travelling across huge lava oceans when you don't have an Elytra is a godsend if you're looking for bastions and fortresses. They really speed things up.
Not rly, bringing a saddle and a fungus on a stick is more complicated than a few stacks of blocks
@groshomme3528 The thing is, Lava Strider travel is a lot safer than bridging over the lava oceans, and it's much easier to pivot into different directions of travel than bridging. This is especially true with Ghasts being a huge problem when bridging in the nether.

i totally agree!! the new version is just so much cuter and the lore makes the game better imo
They should make the vex dual weapons honestly with how much damage they can deliver.
Yeah, plus it adds to the worldbuilding that Allays and Vexes are related, perhaps Vexes are Allays that the illagers corrupted with the same magic they use to turn blue sheep into red sheep

Wow, I didn't know there were people who hated the vex redesign, I personally love the change.
Yeah and I personally didn't like the previous one. It just felt so klunky as a design, like they just reused Steve got some reason.

I'll never understand why people find phantoms so annoying, just hit them as they dive you. It's not hard to time at all and if you're mid to end game and have a sharpness 5 nethwrite sword it will two tap them with no crits.
Also lamas can have chest put on their backs to help transport large amounts of items.
its that they're so slow to dive in and so you get caught off guard when one bites you in the back
For real, if you don't want to deal with them, just use a bed. Plus, vex should get more hate because they don't drop anything you and are phantom on crack. So phantom shouldn't be last.

O yeah, the actual point I was gonna make, people say "purpur is the worst block, it can't be used for building" and I say I don't think it's a bad block, the only one I'd conside to be a bad block is slime/honey because they have the weird cube inside which makes building SO awkward, my point is purpur can be used for a bunch of stuff, glow inc sacs EXIST, and phantoms atleast look cool (so do Slime blocks even) - EVERYTHING nomatter how incredibly annoying it is, has a positive. Thank you for calling me out on my stupid little reply!
Yeah I bet you didn't expect me to be the one with the more open mindset! >:p
@@dylanwatts4564 well he isn't really talking about the other mobs in the mob vote
@@Danjag glow squid gets way more hate than it should, but I'm still disappointed with their implementation, mainly due to the missed potential of glow ink. Imagine being able to use it on stuff like leather armor and wool, like every other dye in the game.
4:33 i think that the vexes looked so weird with the humanoid model
Very useful fun fact: there is a way to obtain phantom membranes in peaceful mode Or When they’re turned off, When a tamed cat sleeps with you, upon waking up there is a chance it will give you a gift, with a small chance, it can give you a membrane
0:58 no it's OK, I didn't get triggered at all, I'm sure the other 2 guys will take it lightly as well
llamas are technically meant for transportation of items, you can move an entire army of them with just one lead (they all follow the leader)
Him not mentionning that the killer bunny is a monty python refrence and instead making a fnaf refrence IS A SIN TO GOD
It’s so nice to finally focus on a tiny indie game, it’s been struggling recently
Also it's worth mentioning that Pillager after a long time can break his crossbow and be without a weapon and somehow he doesn't melee you or anything so he is "peacful" which is cool. Villagers still ran away from him though
9:44 that goat was like. Later Losers
“I must go, my people need me”
Further on the Witch. Not sure if it’s still a thing, but I know in o,d versions, if you killed them while they were drinking a potion, they have a chance of dropping it, I (to this day) wait until I see them sipping from a potion to deal the killing blow
That allows at least 4 different potions: Speed, Healing, Fire Resistance and Water Breathing. Also Invisibility from Wandering Traders
8:36 no way bro called water breathing potions niche 🤣
They are? Just use respiration and doors
not everyone has the means to play java. doors don't work in bedrock@@Wailmur
@@startrashing he is talking about java more specifically if I'm not mistaken
@@Wailmur but in other hand, he ranking water breathing so high in another video
Hot take: I like the phantom’s design. And the concept of a creature attacking your for not sleeping like a sort of lucid dream is really cool.
Ranking all the biomes would be cool!
