The Ancient City is ironically less dangerous if you just don't respect the Warden at all. With how long it takes for him to spawn and how slow he is to aggro unless you attack him, you can literally just sprint up to a chest, loot it, then sprint away by the time he's actually able to look for you.
I usually go to ancient cities early on because there are no regular mobs spawning, it's easy to loot once you know what you're doing, and you can save 7 diamonds by getting your pants there. You can also pretty easily get a perfect pair of them. That's not even mentioning all the other loot you can get, and the most underrated part: clearing all the sculk to reveal tons of ores (diamonds!) underneath. It's also fairly common to have one intersect with an iron ore vein, which is amazing to find early game.
I hope nether fortresses get an aesthetic update at some point. Nothing big, but just some more color than just the nether bricks. Maybe adding red nether brick trims or something idk.
for skeleton spawners, another good thing is that you can turn them into strays with powdered snow , i think they give more xp but the slowness arrows are good as a add on
Things to rank: Every spirit in smash ultimate Every stage in smash ultimate Every anamatronic in the FNAF series Every ranking victory screen in ultimate. This is the one I’d like to see most.
I’m a bit worried about a spirit ranking cuz Odyssey only play Mario games that interest him. No Pokémon. No Splatoon. No Metroid. He even said that TOTK was more popular than scarlet and violet when the latter is in the 10 best sold switch games. If he doesn’t play more games, he’ll run out of video ideas. He hasn’t made a Mario Maker 2 video in over a year purely because he’s restricting himself. We need to put pier pressure on him by saying. If you don’t make a video about a new franchise within a year, we’ll all unsubscribe.
I’d say my favorite ones are the monument, the Mansion, End City, and Nether Fortress. I’m a creative mode player, so the mobs can’t hurt me. I took over multiple villages and turned it into an evil village and I’ve also taken over monuments for my base, and I have those Guardians outside locked in a cage as they watch their home get dominated by yours truly.
It takes some work, but ocean monuments can make AMAZING bases once you clear out the elder guardians and drain the water. Bring along a beacon and clear out all the walls on the inside, and you’ll have plenty of floor space. I actually did this on an old bedrock world, and it still remains as one of my favorite bases of all time.
good to know how many sherds I can get in this new update. desert wells having their own unique sherds is pretty cool, same with the sherds the ocean monuments have that you listed at 10:48.
7:11 Jungle temple is the most nostalgic for me too, since in my first world on xbox 360, there was one right beside a beach, and I'd made a big dog shaped house in front of it. Sadly the world has been lost
My first Minecraft World, I found a mountain that was split into three sections by a large lake, one one end was a jungle with a temple, and a very narrow plains biome around the other edge of the lake. That was also the first world I beat the Ender Dragon on. Back then there wasn't a Wither so that was the end game.
Jungle Temples somewhat deserve a lower rank. Aside from the aesthetics, the loot is usually crap and the whole concept around it is obsolete, like sure, it was neat because it was the only "redstone intensive" structure at the time (it was also a gateway for people to learn about tripwires), but as opposed to the newer structures, even the minimal ones, those ones are easier to access and are often more common than the Jungle Temples, hell, even they yield better loot. But man, whenever I encounter a Jungle Temple I just start demolishing it because the redstone contraptions are so unnecesary and a waste of time, the blocks used for the contraptions are way more valuable than the loot itself. Plus, it's not even rewarding, who the hell wants to do a whole combination lock thing just to get 7 pieces of rotten flesh? 💀 Did Mojang expect that everyone would play by the rules of the structures?
This isn’t a ranking idea, but I loved watching the Level by Levels on the Mario Odyssey Kingdoms. I would really enjoy watching one on Steam Gardens, or Tostarena.

A note on the Ancient City: While it is a lot of work, if you clear the Ancient City of all the Skulk Shriekers, it is basically a mob free underground base. Mobs can't spawn on Deep Dark biomes. That's basically the perfect spot for a base, if you ever want to build one, or just repair the Ancient City to its former glory
Theres actually a trick to finding end cities, end cities actually spawn in a line, and all you have to do is find what direction to go to. Here’s how to do it. -If you already have found an end city, just go out in a straight line, and if you don’t find any for a while, go back to the end city and try a new direction. -(Take this one with a grain of salt since I’ve only heard others say its true) If you haven’t found an end city, go to X 1200 or -1200 (whatever one is closer), and go on a straight line in the Z axis. If you don’t find one for a while, go the opposite way. I tried this in a random 1.20.4 world, and I found 4 end cities all with ships within a few hundred blocks. Hoped this help 👍

9:01 One thing i like about ruined portals is that it's pretty good game design. Back when i was a newer player i didn't even know that the nether existed until i found it on a video. Ruined portals are now intended to be hints that the nether exists, for newer players. The portals are.. ruined... and you have to fix the portals. Most chests spawn with stuff like obsidian and items that can light stuff, so im assuming that mojang made ruined portals as hints to enter the nether.
Very first video I found of yours, and I subscribed immediately, superb editing and humor that I did not feel to be so intrusive, and just overall very fun to watch. Now, being honest, I have to say I agree almost completely with every spot on the list, I think I would rank Ancient Cities a little higher because of how nerve wracking it is to explore them, while also being extremely cool builds (the music tracks that can only play there are absolutely amazing too) Anyways, great video and keep up the great work! I'll be watching your career with great interest 👀
I absolutely love how widely spread ianxofour's farm designs are. An absolute treasure early game, and some of them are efficient enough that you don't really need a more advanced one (wither skull, shulker, wither rose)
@@WeirdguyKruckly no way, someone who doesn't get mad over a decorative block not having any other functions aside from decoration I am grateful for your existence 🥹
The jungle temple is my favourite structure because of its red stone. As well as the lever puzzle. It would be cool if there was a structure that has a lever or button in it that when you press them it’ll open a secret door that will lead to a secret room.
To be honest, I would have put the monument lower because it’s often not really worth going in. Other than that, I really enjoyed the video, good job! 👍
3:27 I know a mod that makes amethyst shards useful: enchanting infuser. With 2 shards, 3 crying obsidians, a book and an enchanting table, you can craft the enchanting infuser, which lets you give any tool exactly any enchantments you want, making enchanting a lot less luck-based. You might think there's a catch. And you'd be right. This comes at a cost. You will lose the same amount of exp levels as the minimum level requirement for enchanting said tools. So if your tool requires a minimum of 15 levels to enchant, you will have to spend all 15 levels, and so on.
18:22 I don’t really agree with u saying that spider spawner dungeons are bad cuz u can get spider eyes, to make fermented spider eyes, to make potions
Which are only really useful in multiplayer as it can only make harm, slowness, weakness, and invisibility, three of which are only useful as splash potions, one that doesn’t change singleplayer gameplay at all, and weakness only being useful for curing zombie villagers, which can also be done by… finding a healthy villager
This video made me feel very nostalgic for Minecraft for some reason. It's not like I don't engage with the game much, something about this video in particular just hit different.
Amethyst shards can be used to duplicate allays! You have to have them near an active jukebox (with a cd in, could be even after the disc stops playing) and the allays will start dancing. If you “feed” them an amethyst shard they duplicate.
My ranking: 25 and 24 - Fossils. Why do these count? 23 - Desert Well. Predictable choice is predictable. Was 25th before 1.20. 22 - Buried Treasure. Good loot but this is not a structure. Come on. 21 - Witch Hut. These have not aged well. These worked when these were the only places Witches spawned. 20 - Pillager Outpost. Bad loot, Bad Omen does not save this one. If anything these are kinda a pain to come across. 19 - Ocean Ruins. They look cool and add to the atmosphere but aren't that useful. 18 - Ruined Portal. The loot is kinda OP and they're too common. 17 - Igloo. That hidden basement is such a clever way to teach Zombie Villager curing mechanics in-game. But not really anything else to offer. 16 - Jungle Temple. Crap loot. Old and outdated. Cool design. 15 - Ancient City. Controversial pick, I know. But sneaking around a MASSIVE structure is just NOT fun. The Warden is OP, the loot isn't worth it, and a structure this difficult was a HUGE missed opportunity. Should've been in the End, or a new dimension, or the gateway to a new dimension. But no. Fell flat in my opinion. The trims can't save this one, either. 14 - Woodland Mansion. These structures used to be good, but later updates have hurt it. Their loot has always subpar for how rare these were, but they used to be worth it for the totem. Now the totem can be got from raids. 13 - Trail Ruins. Another structure with a really cool idea, but hurt significantly by the terrible loot, resulting in a rather frustrating experience overall. 12 - Amethyst Geode. Why are these so high? I just LOVE the ambience of these things, and I still love finding them. Hopefully Amethyst will get more uses though. 11 - Shipwreck. The loot here is surprisingly good, and these are surprisingly fun and dangerous to raid. They are small though. 10 - Abandoned Village. When I first came across this, I was SUPER freaked out. These are rare, and coming across them is a real WOW moment. 9 - Ocean Monument. These were pretty groundbreaking when first added, but they have received zero updates and seem dated now. They still look amazing and have two really cool mobs though. 8 - Dungeon. Mostly good just for the XP. 7 - Desert Temple. Absolute classic. Good loot. And even got an update in 1.20! 6 - Mineshaft. I have HUGE nostalgia for this structure. One of the first I ever found, I remember having a BLAST going through these as a kid, and they still hold up today. 5 - Stronghold. I will never forget the excitement of finding one of these as a kid. The structure is pretty cool, but of course I have to give this points for being the literal gateway to another dimension. 4 - Village. Maybe not the most impressive structure, but DEFINITELY the most useful without any doubt. Number 1 for usefulness. This structure literally had an entire massive update dedicated to it. 3 - Nether Fortress. I had to think a lot about where to place this one. It undeniably does have some of the most important things in the game, but design-wise it does feel a bit boring and dated now. Obviously in terms of game progression this is one of the tops. 2 - End City. This is a truly unique structure that is an absolute blast. Not to mention the ELYTRA, putting this as top ranking in terms of loot. 1 - Bastion Remnant. This structure may not be number 1 in any category, but it just has it all. It looks amazing. It is extremely fun to play. It has pretty good loot. It is required for progression. It is genuinely challenging and requires considerable strategy without feeling unfair like the Ancient City. As it has all of this going for it, this is why it takes number 1 overall.
Fun fact: In Bedrock Edition, Witch huts also contain potions in the cauldrens, and one of these potions have the wither effect which can only be obtained through witch huts.
Random thing that has nothing to do with the video, on bedrock or pocket edition back then, you could sometimes find wither skeletons in the nether before they were added to the fortress or even had a spawn egg and there were no commands to spawn them, so ut was really cool to find one.
I think pillager outposts should be higher than mineshafts, the consistency of obtaining bad omen which is essentially required for a surplus of totems of undying, which for survivial worlds is pretty much required for long term survival. It is also a great way to get emeralds, which for villager trading is required, and hero of the village is the icing on the cake. And, like wad mentioned in the video, you can have a witch farm built in. XP is also a very easy thing to get if you automate it. I think all these reasons are why the Pillager outpost is superior to the mineshaft, which the only thing it really has going for it is enchanted apples which are very rare to find.
I agree with the ranking... except no.1 and 2 I feel end cities are better and deserve the no.1 spot bcs of: 1. They are really cool with the 2 color of blocks used, but the fotress only has 1 2. They give diamond armor, enchanted with up to prot 4, fotress none 3. They give good enchantments on the diamond tools that can be found, fotress none 4. Their rarety but worth loot gives reasons to explore the end Dont get me wrong, the fotress is good, the design and everything and provides rods that are essential to actually make it possible to find the end but according to my opinion, end city better

Welp there went a half hour of my day :)
4:44-4:49 So if someone is looking for it and they're losing hope, just encourage them by saying "Don't worry, you conduit."
Cue laughter 😂🤣
I hope nether fortresses get an aesthetic update at some point. Nothing big, but just some more color than just the nether bricks.
Maybe adding red nether brick trims or something idk.
B-but why was the nether fossil last? DRY BONES?!?!
for skeleton spawners, another good thing is that you can turn them into strays with powdered snow , i think they give more xp but the slowness arrows are good as a add on

Things to rank:
Every spirit in smash ultimate
Every stage in smash ultimate
Every anamatronic in the FNAF series
Every ranking victory screen in ultimate. This is the one I’d like to see most.
Spirit sounds like a good 300k or 500k special.
@@noahppinkrevail or, and hear me out here, we just let him do his thing.
@@OrbitalFrog_ I was joking at the end. I guess I’ll have to find TH-camrs who play games I like The Odyssey Doesn’t play.
Where would my dirt starter house from when I was 9 go in this list?
Above end cities for sure
definitely #1 in mine 💯 🔥
I’d say my favorite ones are the monument, the Mansion, End City, and Nether Fortress. I’m a creative mode player, so the mobs can’t hurt me. I took over multiple villages and turned it into an evil village and I’ve also taken over monuments for my base, and I have those Guardians outside locked in a cage as they watch their home get dominated by yours truly.
I just watched Schaff’s Mariokart 8 deluxe course ranking video. Great job getting in!!
Loved your cameo in Schaffrillas’ MK8 ranking, you really took me off guard with the dancing bowser joke 😭😭
This isn’t a ranking idea, but I loved watching the Level by Levels on the Mario Odyssey Kingdoms. I would really enjoy watching one on Steam Gardens, or Tostarena.
I think that the best one is either end ship or ocean monument, imo.
"super niche Redstone block"
One of the best additions to redstone.
Cool that you manage to talk about everything that is great about Mount Wario despite the small time to speak.
I stumbled across your channel today and love your videos! You blend information and humor incredibly well, and admit when you're being subjective in rankings! As well, you just have really good and engaging writing. Thanks so much for cool videos :)
i'm actually sooo happy Schaffrillas featured you in his video as you are my favorite youtuber and you made your segment the most memorable one with the funnies you always put in your own videos (seriously thank you for having cool Bowser there) so i think you will definetely gain more viewers because of that
but Mr. Central, you have to understand, fossils are bones (Dry Bones even 🤯🤯🤯)
Witch huts are actually better in bedrock because you can find cauldrons full of random potions.
A note on the Ancient City:
While it is a lot of work, if you clear the Ancient City of all the Skulk Shriekers, it is basically a mob free underground base.
7:25 bro said "not the best loot" while getting a mending book wtf

Merry Christmas!
Thanks odyessy and other guy 😊
“Other guy”?
Me personally, I would not take that level of disrespect.
Strongholds are good because you can mine the two libraries for a double chest full of books, which you can use for enchanting
At that stage wouldnt you easily have two stacks of books from cow and sugarcane farms?
@@chicagotypewriter2094 Don't need to make those. Would probably start enchanting after I make an enderman farm.
3:45 i liked that there are dark glass building and when power run out, there just showed Freddy's music box theme: Toreador March from Fnaf-game and Toreador March from Carmen-opera
16:28 if you destroy the shriekers, you can get a TON of experience, theres usually a efficiency 5 mending hoe, so you can farm exp
Can’t believe you forgot to mention the most important and thrilling loot of End Cities: Beetroot seeds. Such a great item, man.
Ah my apologies!
I'm not even kidding the end cities were the main source of my first beetroot seeds.
22:44 I can imagine you laughing constantly at this edit every time it plays in your editing
I SAW THAT HEROBRINE
WHERE
5:13 Fun fact!! In the bedrock version, you can find the cauldron with some random potion. I don't see this structure very often but I always stop to steal potions😼
16:18 honestly thats why I always carry a grindstone with me to remove enchantments. Those extra experience points definitely add up
Should’ve put the fossils at first place because, well, you-know-who for Smash
11:19 Doesn’t the Igloo technically have multiple types? One without a basement and one with one? (Also this is a great video I like how in-depth you go into your analysis of the topic your ranking.)
He says this, 50% have basemwnt
9:01 One thing i like about ruined portals is that it's pretty good game design. Back when i was a newer player i didn't even know that the nether existed until i found it on a video.
Ruined portals are now intended to be hints that the nether exists, for newer players. The portals are.. ruined... and you have to fix the portals. Most chests spawn with stuff like obsidian and items that can light stuff, so im assuming that mojang made ruined portals as hints to enter the nether.
14:50
You forgot the most important and valuable drop from cave spider farms: sweet revenge
Very first video I found of yours, and I subscribed immediately, superb editing and humor that I did not feel to be so intrusive, and just overall very fun to watch. Now, being honest, I have to say I agree almost completely with every spot on the list, I think I would rank Ancient Cities a little higher because of how nerve wracking it is to explore them, while also being extremely cool builds (the music tracks that can only play there are absolutely amazing too)
Anyways, great video and keep up the great work! I'll be watching your career with great interest 👀
My favorite is the ancient city it looks so cool and creepy
23:34 WHY IS THERE 54 EYES OF ENDER
Your odyssey looks fantastic bro! And the timing of this video is fantastic, I started a new survival recently.
I absolutely love how widely spread ianxofour's farm designs are. An absolute treasure early game, and some of them are efficient enough that you don't really need a more advanced one (wither skull, shulker, wither rose)
Even if sherds aren't very useful, still REALLY love them, their designs are so cool
i don't feel like they look cool but i respect your opinion and agree that everything doesn't need to be useful. that's why creative mod exists

Yea!
I think the ocean ruins are neat, but most of the time I find it, it's juat a few blocks
Also, I recommented this because I accidentally said monument instead of ruins
The jungle temple is my favourite structure because of its red stone. As well as the lever puzzle. It would be cool if there was a structure that has a lever or button in it that when you press them it’ll open a secret door that will lead to a secret room.
2:45 Wait, this special sand is to find there? Thanks for showing, I never knew this :D

To be honest, I would have put the monument lower because it’s often not really worth going in. Other than that, I really enjoyed the video, good job! 👍
One really good use for the ancient city is the crazy diamond hoes you can get, which can mine sculk super fast and give you a huge amount of exp
Fun fact:The igloo with the dungeon is the only structure with a naturally generated sign
Thank you for putting cool bowser in a schaffrillas video
I had to do it 🙏
2:01 Bro fossils in the overworld usually generate with many diamonds nearby
1:36
At least the Nether's climate is keeping these bones dry.
#drybonesforsmash
You should ve also did the story behind some of the structures. For example the igloos or the ruined portals, or nether fortress.
24:17 he murdered a kid
The subttle sound effect too :D
Lol
this comment section is a gold mine of clueless people correcting him for saying sherd
dont forget the people forgetting this was made pre 1.21
18:22 I don’t really agree with u saying that spider spawner dungeons are bad cuz u can get spider eyes, to make fermented spider eyes, to make potions
Which are only really useful in multiplayer as it can only make harm, slowness, weakness, and invisibility, three of which are only useful as splash potions, one that doesn’t change singleplayer gameplay at all, and weakness only being useful for curing zombie villagers, which can also be done by… finding a healthy villager
Yeah but worse doesn’t necessarily mean bad
You can use this as a cobweb farm that you can turn into wool and eventually beds to use in the Nether or the End.

My ranking:
25 and 24 - Fossils.
Bro, best structure is clearly the brick pyramid.
GUYS LOOK AT THE BOTTOM RIGHT AT 2:08 😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰

3:50 bro Is dead

9:25 Wwwoooooaaaahhhh
I agree with the ranking... except no.1 and 2
I feel end cities are better and deserve the no.1 spot bcs of:
1. They are really cool with the 2 color of blocks used, but the fotress only has 1
2. They give diamond armor, enchanted with up to prot 4, fotress none
3. They give good enchantments on the diamond tools that can be found, fotress none
4. Their rarety but worth loot gives reasons to explore the end
Dont get me wrong, the fotress is good, the design and everything and provides rods that are essential to actually make it possible to find the end but according to my opinion, end city better
