Exactly ! Does she not know there’s a lot of trim in many color she could personalize all that black she can also buy a bug cover, sunglasses holder plus upgrade the technology Bluetooth and ect. The paint nothing she can do about that but take care of it park away from others or get a paint job. I love this Jeep renegade I’m looking to purchase one
Not sure where the reply to my comment went someone asked if I purchased a Jeep Rene and told me to beware of trash transmissions. Yes I did purchase a 2015 Rene latitude I love it ! I’ve own since June and have not had a problem. I think with these or any vehicle you get some good and some bad. I owned a Mini Cooper prior and it was a money pit. I see others happy with their Cooper no issues mine had some major issues !
This girl will realize this car was a bad choice in a few years when the mechanic bills start popping up for constant repairs

I have a 2016 renegade trailhawk. Bought brand new and have 86K miles on it now. Havent had any issues other than 2 recalls which are fully covered. You do have to change your oil on time. Perhaps even 500 miles earlier because the 2.4 does consume more oil than it should. As long as i get at least 150K out of it im happy.

Quick tip for the sunglasses, I replaced the handle on the driver side with sunglass holders. It was really easy, if I had to pick only one of the modifications I made to it this would probably be the one.
Can confirm as a ‘17 renegade owner the Bluetooth is absolutely inexcusable for a modern car. It’s my #1 complaint. That said I have no regrets purchasing, it’s a great vehicle.

i completely agree, i have a 17 sport. the paint is still thin, i have 1000 little nicks in the hood because of bugs, small pieces of gravel flying up etc... the sunglass holder would be a nice addition. another thing is i think the seats are too close together next to the center console. if you drop your phone down in there you practically have to sacrifice your arm to get it out. i really dont mind the two tone though, i would like it all to be one color but they are never going to make a car perfect for you until you dish out the money to buy a tesla. good video short and to the point.
1) clean the bugs off 2) don't scrape the paintwork, but if you do just polish off that black plastic that's stuck on top of the paintwork 3) glasses go in the tray below the USB socket, or the door bin - other than that glad you love you Rene LOL

Looks nice! I just bought a 2018 Wrangler. Jeep is awesome! Try waxing and detailing your Jeep the next time you wash it. It will help protect against minor scratches and it will help clean off the bug guts that splatter on the paint.

Talk to me girl! I just got stuck getting a Jeep Renegade and we’ll there’s a lot I don’t like about it. I find the interior design to be about the worst of any vehicle I’ve ever owned (quite a few over the years). Not in terms of what it has or does not have, just the weird layout of stuff and the accessibility of things. So much I could say, but why bother, I’m already frustrated enough. That said yeah it is kinda fun to drive. I’m gonna try and make the best of this vehicle and rig it up as a little camper conversion.

I agree with your complaints. May I suggest loading a usb drive with all your favorite songs. You can plug it in usb outlet and all your songs will show up on the screen in a very nice layed out format. That way you wouldn't have to rely on Bluetooth to hear all your favorite songs on your car stereo.
The glasses cover half of her face. That's either a good or bad thing😊
You might not have the renegade anymore but I put all my sunglasses in the little cubby hole in the door. Fits great.

So the only issues besides Bluetooth are cosmetic lol. Can confirm as a dodge dart owner (both of these vehicles are made by fiat) the Bluetooth is garbage. Mine won’t even connect. I’ve read the owners manual a million times and tried and it just never successfully pairs. I had to buy a separate Bluetooth device for it
I have the same hate for the white a pillars too. I'm about to pop them out and paint them black.
Jeep, insurance, registration, and gas all donated by parents. Dog most likely given as a childhood pet, parents still provide food and shelter for dog, girl, and partner.

#2 is a Uconnect issue. I've had a Challenger and a Renegade and it's across the board, unfortunately.
I'm more worried about the function, cost of repairs, and performance.

5 real reasons not to like the Jeep Renegade! *Trans needs to be tweaked, *Rear camera location, should be in side, (rain makes it hard to see) *Rear quarter window is too small, *Cargo light should be on the ceiling, *Very dim map lights! Otherwise I like my Trailhawk. If it proves unreliable I'm off to another brand..... Black is great! it hides the stains.

@@f10leek48 yes mine has been great so far but I only have just under 20k miles...the only glitch was me putting in LED reverse lights drivers side stays dimly lit....?? So I needed to jump start it.

I’ve owned a 2016 Fiat 500x Sport for about a year now. I could say the Uconnects Bluetooth does not connect at times what I found that helps is to restart it.

I hope over time you change your perception of the Renny. I have a 2017 4x4 and granite it has its quarks it's still a pretty excellent little Jeep.

Thanks for writing that. I have been on the fence about getting a 2019 Renegade when they come out soon. How has the reliability been? I read some horror stories online about electrical problems and things breaking down, which scared me!
Polly Brookside Chrysler products (Dodge, Ram, Jeep) are notorious for electrical issues, but everyone I know that owns a Chrysler product hasn’t had any issues if the car is less than 3-4 years old.
@@Christstand4 Thanks, Matthew. You would think that they would have worked out the electrical issues after the first 1-2 years of it being an issue. I tend to get cars and keep them for 15+ if they last, so I'm still questioning if this is a brand worth getting.

I have a 2003 Jeep Liberty and there really is no place to put glasses. I use the cup holder. Works great. I love my Liberty; it has a beefy 6-cylinder engine, and it takes off like a rocket. I know, it's a chick car, but now the Renegade has taken over since Liberty isn't made anymore. I do like the big engine, though, not some 4-banger.

Jeep Renegade isn't a Jeep. Its a FIAT Italian vehicle. It's built in a FIAT plant in Melfi Italy. Jeep Wranger built in Toledo, OH = Jeep. Jeep Grand Cherokee built in Detroit, MI = Jeep.
My car just days after I bought it had chipped paint and so did my wife's car . That's what happens when one uses the vehicle. You got it to drive not display.

Car just went through it like on tarmac .. its an impressive very capable off roader and drives really well on road.

My 2017 has been good, has 68,000 miles on it now.

When you get spoiled growing up...
On the center console my Renegade has a slot that fits my sunglasses just fine.try that. . I think thats what it's for .
I put beany baby bears in the passenger dash handle. Then I put my sun glasses on the bears.
Real world stuff and this is ok because its your stuff. I think the roof a light color due to the black absorbing more heat. Agreed on the paint and I need space to put shit too. Get one of those VDP overhead storage or make one. Im looking for a Renegade...thats how I got here.

I wanted to get a similar color to that one but my wife said " get black its nice, its elegant". Its fucking dirty thats what it is. I hate black on cars. I could of had red, blue, yellow, grey but got stuck with the ugly one 😭. Never let your spouse decide for you on a vehicle

first of all maybe you should actually be thankful to have a nice car like that, second of all, the problem with the bluetooth is just that car because my mom has a renegade and her music is fine.
My music is great, but the Bluetooth goes in and out too much
There’s a eye glass holder you can install where your grab handle is. It’s cheap to and easy to install.
RUNNERGY I put one of those and I love it. Why do you need a grab handle for the driver. If you are needing a grab handle you should probably put both your hands on the steering. Haha.

seriously look up the sunglasses hack on youtube! it will solve your issue, i did it too, 12$ on amazon, etopmia car glasses sun glass case fit for jeep renegade, i had the same issue on where to put my sun glasses, copy and paste it! ttyl!
