    "Do not enter meditation with demands and requests. Enter meditation to give yourself to it. It is the temple of the True Spirit within you to which you bring yourself. In your practice periods, then, be present and be still. Allow yourself to bathe in the luxury of emptiness. For the presence of God is first experienced as emptiness because it lacks movement, and then within this emptiness, you begin to feel the presence that permeates all things and gives all meaning in life.
    Practice stillness today so that you may know."

    Sunny, you are a blessing.
    Thanks for this series on the beauty of meditation practice, and that actual practice that is the foundation for everything else.
    I have always done my practice once a day, I will try doing it twice a day.
    I am ready to incorporate Self Inquiry into my daily practice.
    I still struggle with overthinking it, and wanting it to be more complex than it is, that I must do it perfectly.
    This is something I struggle with in many aspects of my life.
    I feel that meditation is helping me let go of this, but, it is a journey.

    Thank you, Sunny, for everything you do for us. I am practicing every day since about 7 months. I'm at the self enquiry part, but not sure if I ever get to the deepest center of self abidance. I notice everytime that I am pure awareness, but suddenly my mind pops up asking " Is that all to it?" Of course I catch that thought and go back to abidance, but even when not meditating I ask myself if I do it correctly and if there is more to it. I also don't experience any visions and pictures in front of my closed eyes like so many are talking about. Am I on the right path? I have no problem sitting still and clearing my mind and redirecting my focus back to self it-but this uncertainty if I need to do more or better does make me wonder. Thank you, Sunny, for all your wonderful teachings. You did actually help me heal from severe panic disorder and agoraphobia - without medication or psychological therapy. I'm extremely grateful 🙏💖.

    Sunny, I know my mind has been subtly and obstinately trying to supercede my Being. I hope this time with your continuing incessant and heartfelt efforts through the Teachings and Interactions, that we may truely embody the Formless Being/Presence/Awareness/Consciousness through a dedicated regular Meditation Practice, and transcend much of the repeated Suffering our Identification with the Mind and Body create. We as Human Beings are fortunate in these Times, to have good Teachers as you Sunny, and others, shepherding us together, however difficult seems. to us. These three videos were very encouraging.

    So 4 to 5 times a day for 30 minutes is okay ?

    • @selfinquiryschool
      @selfinquiryschool  23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      If you desire to yes that is fine. Ultimately it is not about increasing sit down meditation time. Even about an hour of sit down meditation is sufficient. Along with that, strive to live the teachings in day to day life. And bring meditativeness(awareness of being) to your entire day as much as possible.

      Hi I was very vague as to what I actually meant by tracking meditation I just wanna elaborate quickly. Hi I just wanna make sure you know exactly what I mean by tracking progress since I was very unclear as to what I meant. I’ve been reading about meditation and want to get started with it and I’m curious about the effect meditation has on your ability to stay in the present moment without drifting off into daydreaming or thinking without knowing that you’re thinking. And I considered running a little experiment where I meditate as usual but I’d have a pen and paper infront of me so that whenever id notice myself lost in thought I’d make a dash on the paper and add them up at the end of each meditation. Of course it will vary greatly from day to day and even week to week and won’t be very linear of an improvement so I wouldn’t be paying it any attention in the shorter timeframes but I would maybe take a 6 monthly or yearly average of my ability to stay present. It would be very simple to track as I would just dash a piece of paper in front of me without even the need to open my eyes. But this idea is far less important to me then the quality of the meditation so if you know any reason why the practice will be negatively effected by this I’ll just dismiss with the idea. As it’s far less important. The reason for this experiment is partially curiosity and is partially OCD about wanting to see some kind of results over the very long term
