Nostalgic for a world you were never apart of, but wish you were. You wish you had those memories, but if you did, the pain of being away from that world would be unbearable. Right?

this song is so tragic and melancholic and beautiful. Perfect to represent that you're just above the ruined, dangerous kingdom that is Hallownest. Kind of like the calm before the storm.

The song of "your journey is about to start... but it doesn't have to just yet...relax...and travel at your own pace.... because fights will be tough when your restless"
It's been a while since I last played Hollow Knight. But the feelings always come back to me, as a wave tide, whenever I hear its soundtrack. I always feel something with this soundtrack: depression, sadness, calm, introspection, but today I feel hope. And then it stroke me. This song was not about sadness or melancholy alone, it was about a better future, a struggle for a brighter day and a gaze upon a misty future. And now I understand it, as I project my gaze on an empty yet sunny field, this song has many many layers compressed on one glorious cyclic 1:44 minute theme.
I played Hollow Knight for the first time a few days ago. I did not have too much time to play, so I have only played the game for an hour so far. However, I will never forget how enchanted I was by this song the moment I stepped foot into Dirtmouth. I can even relax by sitting on the bench and join the knight in his relaxation.
