      Me owing an Audi I can also add this, in my case I have Xenon headlights so there’s no level slider to tilt the headlights since they are automatic. In my case I have a 2 position slider to turn on/off daylight running lights. Since in many euro countries laws don’t require daylights I guess that was just a way to make something of that blanc space and give you the option to turn them off or on.

    I gotta admit, as quirky as this guy is, the FACT that he goes over the quirks a car has, to me is SO important because its THOSE very things that make a car unique. Everyone has traction control, everyone has a door handle, everyone has a shifter, but it's how you design and place those things and attention to detail that make a car truly stand out. This guy gets hyped over little stuff sometimes and can get carried away with his reviews and video titles, but you gotta hand it to him, we can all agree, Doug has some level of charisma that keeps us watching his videos. But by no means the best reviewer, just a very unique guy with a unique approach and that's what i like about this kid. Keep it up doug ;) you quirky ass muthafucka ! =P

      Dressing well is expensive though. The “rich people” who wear suits all the time isn’t because they’re “rich”. It’s because their job requires them to dress that way. But in reality, if someone is rich, they don’t need to buy expensive clothes to let people know they’re rich. Money talks, clothes don’t. It’s about using the money wisely, investing and profit. Not go on shopping sprees for clothes they’ll wear in the house outside of work. That’s why when people win the lottery, they go broke real quick. They just spend and spend instead of using the money wisely to try and make more profit.

    Doug, at 5:09. The little window is to help with shoulder checks (something you probably never do), and it is there because it would also look so ridiculous to have such a huge window. If it wasn't there, you'd be complaining that the window is too big.

    Doug, fun fact about daytime running lights, it was in fact Volvo in the 1970's that actually had permanent small lights on, they were next to the headlights and could not be turned off. Volvo specifically wanted cars to be more visible during the day. The idea lapsed until as you say, Audi reintroduced them back in '08.

    Literally no one said bad things about the Sideblade. The R8 is truly a masterpiece of automotive design. If nothing else, because you still can't believe it was as "cheap" as it was.

    • @Mr0supra0
      @Mr0supra0 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I don't know about you, but a TON of people sad bad things about the Sideblade. The name itself "Sideblade" originated as some type of mockery. A german reviewer approached it with his back turned to it because he though it was so hideous that you couldn't even look at it. Just go out there and find a few articles, I'll bet you will see some saying the sideblade looks bad. Even Audi thought it looks better when it's painted, thats why you pay extra for it.

    • @Sami-hz2bp
      @Sami-hz2bp 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    1) The small rear windows are there to make the side windows smaller in order to be able to roll all the way down into the doors.
    2) The little middle cupholder is designed for standard esspresso cup size which we drink in Europe.
    3) The blank dial next to the dimmer is usually for adjusting aim of the headlights. This R8 probably doesnt need that, or has some automatic system. So they used generic part which they use in all Audis, but left the dial blank.

  • @charliebartlett8362
    @charliebartlett8362 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    the second dial next to the gauge dimmer is to adjust the headlight level, its the same switch panel that audi use in the vw golf and a3. the idea is that if you have alot of luggage in the back the front of the car will pitch up so your lights would be shining in other drivers eyes, this guage allows you to point the lights down to stop this. since the R8 doesnt have storage in the rear this cant happen so you dont need the switch.
