The amount of problems that guy cause reviving it that long even after it started smoking it’s scary. Do you think he has a clue what he’s got at all there? ITS A V10
I totally agree, no oil change and filter replacement, electric checking etc and rev engine is not good at all...

Total amateurs, not replacing all the fluids, hoses n checking electronic systems..don't get me going on the revving of the engine neither. I would never trust these guys with my car.

That guy is insane for starting that engine after so long without any previous maintenance (oil, oil filters, electronic systems, taking out the old gas, etc.) .

Agreed. Owner clearly has no respect/appreciation for cars as he just leaves them for years with no maintenance and then fires it up an hits limiter.
Even if he has money to waste, you dont see Jay Leno doing this for example.
Agree -- should have turned the engine over without spark plugs and then drained and used new fuel. Obviously new oil and filter as a min. But i assume if you have that much money you dont care .
I'm sure they changed all of that during the actual repair. Him doing it once isn't going to hurt anything

Well … the point is to try if he starts after all that time without any manipulation prior to it … its entertainment on youtube, not just about saving a car.
@@GanymedeXDexactly, I heard they even had the car dismantled to strip for spare parts afterwards. As everyone can tell the engine and gearbox are completely broken. That's why the car wasn't touched in a very long time, it's not working.
As they start the engine the backend of the car is smoking like crazy and they are just laughing their ass of. It is too obvious they knew it would start smoking and it doesnt matter if the fuel is old or the car breaks even more. It's not drivable anyways and already totalled. In this video the car was cleaned on the surface just for TH-cam clicks.
This kind of trash content nobody needs.
Starting that car with fuel and all other fluids that's been sat for years is just crazy 😂

@Hearttof Because the fuel oxidises and can clog your injectors and cause any number of issues inside the engine to the point where you'll need a new engine full stop 😁

Yes, do the NSX next! That story of why the R8 got in that condition is not what I expected. Most cars have loose change under the seats when you remove them. Did this one have any loose 1oz bars of gold?

You can tell that the guys detailing the car are good dudes! You could tell by the expression of the one guy that said this was his dream car that he was in absolute shock that the owner of the car just let this gem of a car sit and rot! The owner of this car is a joke! I dont care what negative comments are left after I post this. Like who in the crap leaves a car like this to just rot away and do nothing to protect it?????? it's actually not that surprising to find a car like this in this condition. Many people buy these exotics and then the cost of maintenance and repairs become insanely expensive. Like buying a Bentley or Rolls Royce, it's one thing to be able to buy it, it's another thing to be able to drive and maintain it. Very very expensive and it puts a lot of them out of commission, but the good news is they can always be brought back.....you guys did a great job on this one for sure!
It's like people falling in love with old boats... Congrats for buying! To make it functional you will need 3 times the purchase price! And... that's how you end up with 90% of abandoned projects.
Bet thats not the problem … many of those buying such exotics have so many cars … they simply lose track of where they stored them all … as if maintenance is an issue for them … still cheaper than owning a boat …

I hope you checked the coolant and oil before starting the engine. Because the smoke coming from it is not good at all. I hope there is no damage to the engine. Otherwise it will be very expensive. There is also another version of this engine in Bentley. It is a very precious jewel.

i honestly love the owner who was like: ok let's park it over there, without nothing on it, it's a r8 so it's a cheap car right?? ok jokes aside, i hope he will be able to restore it and put it on the road once again. man it's devastating to see such a car like that in those conditions but i understand that the corona years were really hard to swallow. btw i prefer manual on my cars, and those exaust in the end were heaven

I worked hard on my career for 15 years that’s a 50 hour a week job in sales & marketing, and I have a car TH-cam channel that took me 6 years and 300 videos to get to 100,000 subscribers. I shot videos when I’m not working, and i edited videos while most people are sleeping. Things did not come easy for me but I kept at it.

The end result was amazing… and I would love to see the NSX get some detail love too… but oh man I hope now that the R8 is cleaned up that it gets all of it’s issues sorted and becomes a well maintained and beloved car, perhaps with an owner who is more focused on keeping it running.

If the Audi R8 is your dream car, you will get it -- good luck! Mine is a Nissan R35 GTR or a Lexus LC 500 -- I got to sit in the former of 2 different types and it's unforgettable! Your work on detailing the car is amazing -- from one car detailer to another 😉. Keep it up 👍

How much would you charge for this level of detailing? Fantastic job. I’ve been less than impressed with the car detailers in my area.
Not much I guess. They didn’t even removed some of the moulding in case there were other insects or spiders living inside of the car. If you already see small spiders then oh boy they are inside of the whole frame by now.
Also they didn’t even remove the tires to clean the rims and tires thoroughly. And also who the hell revs up an engine without even changing the fluids inside the motor?? They were even surprised that it had gasoline. Cmon.
