- A bride and her caterer in Seminole County have been accused of lacing wedding food served to guests with marijuana, according to arrest warrant affidavits. Around 30-40 people were at the venue and several complained of stomach pains and vomiting, authorities said. In two affidavits, authorities state that the bride and caterer have been charged with culpable negligence, delivery of marijuana, and violating Florida's Anti-Tampering Act, according to the outlet.

Yes if given the choice I would totally choose the laced food. My husband on the other hand would have to eat the regular food because he would be fired from his boat captain job!
Drug and alcohol abuse runs in my family so I personally choose not to drink or smoke because I'm afraid I may end up liking it too much. My ex relapsed after smokig a joint and became abusive before disappearing and eventually got arrested. Because of my family history and experiences I take my sobriety very seriously. I would be heartbroken if I ate that food... I know others can and should be able to enjoy it if they'd like, but not every one can and some simply don't want to.

It's not JUST WEED unless you know how someone handles it. Some people break out into extreme panic attacks and some can end up dealing with allergies or psychosis. There's plenty of comments talking about this, as well as I've experienced this type of negative effect on people before.
Imagine not knowing food was laced and you ate a ton of it and get extremely stoned, some people will end up vomiting or try to drive because they don't know what's wrong and end up crashing. So many things could have gone wrong. They wouldn't have called the cops if they weren't scared of what's going on.

My sister got me high the first time a few years ago with her boyfriends medicinal weed that’s meant for his cancer and it was so scary I thought I had killed her until she kept showing up alive and I was sure I had committed murder! It was so scary!!

Children at the wedding if there were any, were probably eating that food....making it horrible and the fact that she was smiling ear to ear that she drugged her guests, family, and friends. Horrible.

Even just for fun, this is unforgivable. You damage trust that is irreversible, but seeing her smile is so scary. It’s not even her lack of taking responsibility, she had /pleasure/ in hurting everyone at her wedding even if that wasn’t the initial plan.

Not everyone has a chill experience from weed. Some people get anxiety or have very serious panic attacks to the point they have to go to the ER. It can also raise your heart rate which is very dangerous for people with high blood pressure. Not to mention there could have been guests who were secretly pregnant, or others on medication that shouldn't be mixed with pot, and people can also get fired from their jobs for testing positive, then you have to think about all the people who go home to their families and have children to look after. Not the best thing to do when you're high as a kite. It was completely irresponsible, selfish, stupid, careless, and honestly a bit psychotic to drug someone without their consent.
Can you imagine if there was someone there who was an addict in recovery and had stayed sober until this? Or people who might get drug tested at work or people driving home stoned and getting in an accident and not realizing what was happening? Edibles don't wear off for several hours and don't leave your system for 30 days. Just think of all the lives she could've destroyed.

If I was a guest at this wedding, it could have cost me my job. I’m a locomotive engineer for a commuter railroad. Very strict drug and alcohol policy, in which I’m subject to random testing of breath and urine, and even blood depending on the circumstances. If any of my friends or family did this to me, it would be very difficult to trust or respect them again.
Me to, fired. I have no problem with anyone who wants or in some cases need to consume cannabis, but crazy to think this would be okay.

People seriously underestimate the severity of a marijuana edible induced panic attack. Not being able to come down from a high while you’re hyperventilating and freaking out is one of the most unpleasant and scariest things I’ve ever experienced, it’s nothing but raw anxiety and fight or flight for 3+ hours straight.
I’ve had this too. It’s the worst feeling of absolute impending doom. I puked from the experience even. It’s not for everyone.

Ok just imagine if one of the guest was on probation or was on parole and they ate the food and one of the stipulations is stay away from illegal drugs and this happened. How on earth would they explain that to their probation officer. Also if children ate the food and then end up in the hospital because there was marijuana in their system. Absolutely disgusting and I would divorce her in a heartbeat.

@@5Demona5 Separating the normal food from the drug food at a wedding is an interesting concept but still seems kind of dangerous. There's still that risk that someone may accidently grab it (or be given it) simply because it's there at the event. I think making drugs available to guests is best kept to private parties at private residences where the environment can be controlled.

Hey, fellow pothead! Totally agreed, totally disrespectful of the bride to unwillingly drug her guests. If she wanted to share weed with her guests, she should've separated regular food from edibles, and properly labeled. That detail would've made this an awesome wedding.
I feel very disgusted by the people who’s writing this off with “it’s just weed”. As if the fact that they were fed this without knowing or without consent is suddenly okay.
I have used weed for a long time. I prefer to smoke a little bit at a time. I cannot do edibles. Something about them hits me differently and I have panic attacks and paranoia. I couldn't imagine not knowing I ingested the drug and feeling like that. It would be terrifying. You cannot do this to people and nobody can defend this in any way.

I used to smoke until I started getting very dangerous panic attacks that sent me to the hospital from smoking weed. my body just started rejecting it after smoking for years. Even if I'm in the car around it I feel my heart start to race I would be terrified if this would have happened to me.
The bride just destroyed whatever trust she had with her groom, in-laws, friends, and business accquaintances.
Hopefully she'll never own any future business because of this stunt. Who would trust her with a business after this?

As someone who has ZERO tolerance for any substance including over the counter meds due to severe allergic reactions I’d sue everyone involved for everything they have if I was unknowingly poisoned like this.
I would immediately file for a divorce and a restraining order. I could never forgive anyone that not only drugged me, but my entire family without consent. I would then individually apologize to every guest that had attended because I apparently didn’t realize I was engaged to a sociopath.
As someone who uses weed, this is insane. Outside of the possible medication interactions and the fact that many people have bad reactions to it, being drugged without consenting is terrifying and traumatic. I am very glad she got arrested.

As someone who smokes, this is heartless. I’ve had enough panic attacks from smoking/edibles to know what they went through. Especially the panic attacks where you feel and hear nothing but your heart beating fast. You feel uneasy like you’re gonna die and you can’t do anything to stop it. Just plain evil
@@shanepereira. I smoked regularly for years, one day it made me have panic attacks and cry every time I touched it. Even now, after 4 years of not doing it. 1 hit makes me bonkers.

@@somerandomguy4240 when weed started affecting me in a bad way, I was going through the most stressful time in my life. Now that everything is so much better, I've had puffs. They made my heart beat out of my chest, brain race with negative thoughts and it was awful. But even back when I was smoking weed regularly, and it was fun, I couldn't touch sativa. Only indica.
