( Woman came in- idea was for a few weeks-months, but not permanent). with son. She and he stay 20 years. Mostly, my friend was in Afghanistan [ US govt contractor].

I flew out to Cali, met him and the landlord and toured the condo and the complex, waited to hear from him to see if he had chosen me as his roommate, sent him the first month's rent when I got the call, and moved out west about a month later. Everyone thought I was crazy, but I trusted my gut and he was an AWESOME roommate. I have zero regrets about that being part of my "moving to California" story. Now granted, everyone isn't that lucky, but you have to have some common sense and be a decent judge of character.

My roommate is the worst. This 47 year old was lying to his parents about his job telling them he works at a restaurant when really he was a door dasher and eventually got fired for his erratic behavior. The first month of moving into my current apartment, he snapped on me because I got into the shower before him, slamming cupboards and yelling like a nutcase. He’s thrown toilet paper in the trash with feces on it and causing drama with the neighbors over parking on the public street.

The tarantula one isn't totally accurate. She was renting the house and then illegally rented out the basement to the woman and when her landlord found out she was trying to force her to nice out so she wouldn't get evicted. And the police captured the tarantula and returned it to the pet store that same day.
My understanding is that rather than this being an issue with Simonetti's landlord, (she lives in a 5 bedroom house... seems weird to rent a whole house and then sublet, rather than just rent a smaller space for just two people, so she likely owned the home,) it was an issue with the local ordinance for short term rentals. Simonetti was apparently renting the place out, (specifically a basement apartment built into the house, which is the stairwell we're seeing in the videos,) like, week by week or something through AirBnB, which isn't legal in Edina where she lives, (yet another reason why she shouldn't be a county commissioner.)
I knew a college girl whose roommates put bleach in her shampoo and conditioner. The victim had a hard time getting moved to a different dorm, and her roommates received a warning and graduated on time. smh
I once had a roommate blow up on me for no reason, threw my stuff on the floor, pushed a table towards me, and tried breaking down my door. I called my landlord and he basically did nothing, right after he left, the roommate started up again, called a second time told me he was calm but he wasn't cause he was still trying to break my door down. The only solution I could think of was crashing at my friend's place until he calmed down, I had my other roommate grab all my food too hide it cause he was stealing my food now.

I always thought I had some bad roommates in college and in my mid-twenties but this series of clips takes the cake. I had it easy. I only went through verbal abuse, nothing physical, mental or psychological. Oh, and some clothes were stolen!

It days in the video she did take her to court but because this was during covid she couldn’t evict her.

I had to take a PPO out on my roommate in order for them to get evicted. Sad it had to come to that but was glad to finally have them out! That was here in Michigan back in 2013... im not sure if it works like that in other states?

The tarantula one isn't totally accurate. She was renting the house and then illegally rented out the basement to the woman and when her landlord found out she was trying to force her to nice out so she wouldn't get evicted. And the police captured the tarantula and returned it to the pet store that same day.
My understanding is that rather than this being an issue with Simonetti's landlord, (she lives in a 5 bedroom house... seems weird to rent a whole house and then sublet, rather than just rent a smaller space for just two people, so she likely owned the home,) it was an issue with the local ordinance for short term rentals. Simonetti was apparently renting the place out, (specifically a basement apartment built into the house, which is the stairwell we're seeing in the videos,) like, week by week or something through AirBnB, which isn't legal in Edina where she lives, (yet another reason why she shouldn't be a county commissioner.)
I knew a college girl whose roommates put bleach in her shampoo and conditioner. The victim had a hard time getting moved to a different dorm, and her roommates received a warning and graduated on time. smh

I once had a roommate blow up on me for no reason, threw my stuff on the floor, pushed a table towards me, and tried breaking down my door. I called my landlord and he basically did nothing, right after he left, the roommate started up again, called a second time told me he was calm but he wasn't cause he was still trying to break my door down. The only solution I could think of was crashing at my friend's place until he calmed down, I had my other roommate grab all my food too hide it cause he was stealing my food now.
