I gor a 99.4 Percentile score on the MCAT without too much grueling work. The most useful technique is to immediately work every day with practice exams, studying the subject of questions you got wrong or guessed on. Initially do the practice exams untimed. What you seek is 100% correct answers. Then in the latter weeks before your exam, work on speed of completing the tests. While studying for the MCAT, I also realized I learned the subjects incorrectly as a undergraduate. I was studying to get the A grade. This is different from studying to understand and teach the material. The lack of deep understanding and only memorizing facts got me As but left me unprepared for the MCAT. I had to relearn independently each subject and conceptualize them so I could teach my classmates. This process took about 3 months. Combining repeated practice testing with studying to understand made the process a lot of fun. The MCAT itself was enjoyable and rapidly completed.
@@moma8518 when would you suggest to start studying for the mcats if this is the case? 3 months seems very little for someone who incorrectly learned the concepts in undergrad
Med School Insiders inadvertently made me pass and excel during the upper division core nursing classes. So thankful! It wasn’t painful as it could have been in retrospect. Can’t wait to finish my premed post bacc but enjoying the process with the tools I have in my repertoire now ☺️
Been using memm for a month now. Got one more psych unit to learn and I’ll be done content review. Test day is July 22nd. Memm is literally a lifesaver and I can’t thank you enough!!!! Been studying 3-4 hours every day with 3-5 CARS passages almost every day too; no burnout!!! Scored a 491 on a half diagnostic last month prior to starting studying so I’m really hoping my hard work pays off
Pretty spot on. I learned how to use anki from a colleague in medical school who scored very high on all his exams. That one simple change ultimately helped me do better in medical school than using my handwritten flashcards I was accustomed to in college. If you all could make a study section for STEP 2 CK, that would be pretty baller my friend.
I am a middle school student. Mister you saved my future. My family used to pressurise me to be a doctor. But seeing your videos, I realised that Medicine is not for Me. Thank You so much. I think a career I really want to make shouldn't be one I hesitate about. My dad wanted me to be a doc probably because it was his unfulfilled dream to be one. I was foolishly and blindly walking the same path. But you opened my eyes. You helped me think for myself. I'm grateful. I now have the courage to stand up and do what will make me happy in the future. For you, my future got saved. Thanks once again from all my heart.
My method was simple: set daily goals and not getting up until I am done. I usually make the end goal at least one week before the exam, so I could revise beforehand. This made my medical school relatively painless (it has its drawbacks, but I think about it after passing the exam)
Definitely helpful to know this. Thank you so much and Memm has been so helpful with the flashcards and videos to train the memory recall along with practicing questions. I appreciate and love this. Thank you

As a freshman, you literally will know nothing yet. If you can integrate using Anki into taking notes, great. If not, you can always study for the MCAT solely during your junior year (or senior if you want a gap year) and prioritize getting good grades in your courses (that is what most people do). I didn't have any plans for my junior summer, so I studied and took the MCAT then, rather than worrying about it all beforehand and using up extra time every day for three years.
