- This isn't one of those morning routines where I'm acting and the birds are chirping and life is glorious. NO. I decided to take you with me throughout my real, raw morning...and yes, it just so happens to be 2 a.m. (I work from 3:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. as a morning TV news reporter.) Stay tuned until the end for a little chat about this crazy schedule! All of my socials are linked below :)

That reminds me of my one friend when we have band camp or a football game we have to go to. We normally have to wake up at like 7am to go to band canp and she always texts me or tells me she is ready to cry one time she even cried. Idk why she does it who knows.

I always thought TV reporters had makeup and hair stylists
Not in local news. I was an intern for the lead news anchor at a major tv station in Miami and she paid out of her own pocket for hair and makeup.
They do for national news, but local reporters do their own 😊 my dad worked in TV for 25 years.

@@ralij4828 I know! Women TV reporters have to learn to apply makeup because they have to do it all themselves. It really isn't fair. It is also very expensive to buy all that makeup, and they won't let women take it as a work tax deduction either. Imagine if they just didn't apply any makeup...they would probably be fired. Same goes for all the clothes they have to buy. A man only needs to buy a few suits and some ties. Women have to buy a huge wardrobe to be presentable for daily TV.

I'm the same, I have my alarm at 9 and I usually wake up several minutes early and shut it off so my so don't wake up
I do that but then I sleep in for over 20 minutes
She takes 4 minute showers and gets totally ready in 45 minutes girl I take 45 minutes to shower.

If I woke up at that time i will doze off in the hot shower and realize I wasted 35-40 mins plus after I get out of the shower. I will take 4 minutes just to turn on the shower.
haha, yes. I can easily take a 30-35 minute shower for some pampering time and get ready in 5 minutes (15 minutes if makeup is required).

@Rose’s Vlogs idk if you are being serious, but would you want a job where you have to stay home mostly every day? just recording a video and posting it? i mean unless your really hard working in it, and have a reason to earn money than i think you should be proud of your job, but i think being in the youtube industry, and doing nothing my entire day, (unless im an adult, or have a busy schedule then yes), but people who work jobs with financing, and doctors, and nurses, and non stop working jobs deserve more success, because they work non-stop to get them where they would need to be.

She's an inexperienced reporter in a medium-sized market --she ain't making money. Why do you think she does these YT videos? It's to supplement her income. To make any real money in TV news, you have to keep moving to larger markets. Being she's from NYC, that's probably where her sights are set.

I did similar for years, but not as glamorous of a job! Worked in a professional bakery for years and had to be there by 5 am! Yes I had to drive and make sure I fed pets in the morning. It’s ABSOLUTELY torture on the body! I don’t miss it at all!

I’m doing that right now, getting up at 3 to be at work by 5 am, working till 2 pm and then going to bed at 6pm so I get a decent amount of sleep. My body still isn’t used too going to bed and waking up so early and I’ve been doing it for a year I can’t wait to find another job that’s more stable and have better hours!!

just a tip for when you accidentally get mascara on your face: wait for it to dry, then wipe it away with a dry spooley. that way it doesn't disturb your base and it won't look patchy from fixing it

Oh do you do the countdown thing? LOL I tell myself I will get up in 30 seconds and then I very slowly count to 30 in my head while dozing on and off. Sometimes I fall back to sleep but it usually works. I only do this when I'm super tired or dreading an appt or something that day.

This makes me feel so happy! I was really scared to have to wake up at 4 a.m. to go to school. Because it’s veryyy far away. 2 hours on train to get there plus the walk to the school and 2 hours to go back home. Also having to get ready quickly and eat quickly. Man that was stressing me out. But I feel so much more secure and less worried seeing other people like you having to wake up EARLIER to go to work. Thank you for uploading this it really helped with my nerves and anxiety. This video really patted me on the back and said, “Hey dude you can do this it’s not the end of the world. You’ll be ok! You got this!”

If I wake up too early I keep my eyes closed until I’m at least 7 mins late - I’ll never change! But the game of not looking at the clock is something I’ve done for years, it’s amazing how you stay focussed, stay on track and actually sometimes buy yourself a few extra minutes by not spending precious moments staring at the time and panicking!
