Horrible! Felt pain! This is the worst yoga nidra I ever did! Completely different to ALL other ones. when asked to tense my muscles as hard as posible It hurt. Honestly so mad.
She incorporates aspects of Progressive Muscle Relaxation. PMR is an evidence-based practice that triggers the relaxation response. You would tighten each muscle group and continue right up to the face and head muscles) and hold each for the count of 4 then slowly release each muscle so it feels like jelly or like a rag doll. Remember, it is up to you as to how much you to control how much you tighten each muscle being careful if you have an injury. Don’t give up on it but it’s not for everyone. Maybe do just PMR with gentle deep breathing using a good quality app for the meditation music eg Insight Timer. All the best.
