Exploring the new Photos app in Windows 10

- Windows 10 has a new Photos app that does more than just display your pictures as a slideshow. This new default app organizes your pictures by date taken (and even creates curated albums for you), features a few nice editing tools for image enhancement, and lets you share pictures via social networks and email. While it's not going to replace Photoshop any time soon, the Photos app is worth a look.

Any tips how to transfer photos to an external hard drive, USB flash drive, or a CD? I see that I can select a few at a time, but I have 5,000 images I'd like to transfer. It does not seem there's a drag and drop option.

Where are the images stored ? on one drive or on compujter?
I use Windows10 and this app for my videos, and this is just an EXTREMELY confusing tutorial. There is so many more ways to do this - easier.

Hate this new app, trying to take my pics out of my iPhone and as soon as finish looking for the items it freezes and nothing happens 😒
Printing is the most important part of Photo management and sharing.
You forgot to show us how to find the "Print: command?
How do you resize a photo? I used to do this with Microsoft Photo Editor. Thanks.

how do you upload created videos in Microsoft photos to youtube, TH-cam basically says its not compatible to the created file. This sux man.
Now it has scrambled my photos as well as my music. No search feature
I have problems with my photo app... I always get error whenever i open an image.. Always telling me that " app didnt start"..

Can't I just do something simple like find my photos and save them onto a USB stick, or e-mail them? I can't see how to do either of these things.
Yes, I'm with you Janice I cant figure out how to move photo's into emails, so I can email the damn things.
I found this to be very intrusive. I can make my own albums thank you. That is, when windows 10 doesn't crash if I try to save a file. I hate Windows 10, wish I had stayed with 7.
Hi Andy . If you have upgraded to win10 you may be able to roll back to win 7. There are plenty of tutorials on how to do this.

Andy Dunnock well I have Windows 8 on my old laptop from 2011 but my new one that I bought at the end of February has Windows 10 and Microsoft essentials. What's weird about it is that my pictures won't show in the picture folder

completing confusing!!!!! I hate windows ten..All I wante to do is print a picture from my photos folder. It keeps telling me that there is no communction with my printer!!! but my printer works just fine in other areas..God I hate windows ten
