sometimes you need to let people know how much they impact your daily life because if you don't they won't have any idea how much their hard work and positive personality means to you. So Mike just wanted to let you know that I look forward to your videos and always smile when I get a new one. Sick in bed from chemo with little to no energy or strength. Watching your videos actually makes me smile every time. when I was young I recycled carpet foam pad and scrap metal for extra money. Your hard work, work ethics and positive attitude reminds me of me back then. thanks for bringing laughter into my days!

The thing in the suitcase is a vintage computer Toshiba T1000 with a decent resell value with the printer and setup like that! Good find!

It was, it's called a cow, computer on wheels.
And the Medtronic thing is a programmer for implanted medicine infusion pumps.

That's a good question. defintely tons... hundreds if not thousands of tons.
dont know about over there but in the UK most skips are gone through at the depots after being picked up and any recyclable items are removed saves a lot of landfill

i used to work security at a canning factory. there were so many bolds and screws and pieces of metal over 80 percent of that property. you might call one and ask if they need magneting

Those little straps in dumpster number two are called " 1/8",2" hot rolled mild steel bar stock. Pretty much everything is made out of it in most metal shops.(I used tons of it in the shop when I was doing fabrication work.)

Howdy, Mike! How soon until the next RIVER SCAVANGING video? I loved hearing your noticeable exclamations underwater when you found your treasures. Have you ever been scalloping? It's done underwater in the grasses like your scavenging trips, but you get treasure that you can keep & eat (if you like them)! Hope you are well!

I have a garage like that - the back third is a mountain, that my son says I'll need a Sherpa and climbing gear to get over! It is time to sort it out, so that I can get to the rest of my toolboxes and power saws! Latham items are for time cards. Look for the time punch when you see them. Steam Punk, Mid Modern, Nuke Age, and others are interested in them for the slots. Great for mail, and such. Thanks, Mike for your attitude, I have seen every video you have done now!

Went scrapping last night! Entire truckload from one industrial park. I'm 59 & still climbing in dumpsters! So fun & a little extra $ never hurts.

Them capacitors vary to the equipment that uses it, many type of motors use different size capacitors, the thing you called switch is actually a contactor, don’t get rid of it you’ll need one in the future for your condenser. You can open your service panel to your condenser match up the numbers and you’ve saved yourself a call out fee and labor. They’re about $20.00 each

The wife has 2 spinal cord stimulators, made by Medtronic. They program 3 settings the user can switch between with that box you found. They work like a 10’s unit only are permanently installed.

Howdy
The long skinny boxes with slots...Latham...are time card boxes. Bright back memories of a first job and then some later on. Those held the time cards which you slid into a time clock to punch in and out. Guess those are now a thing of the past now with electronic and digital and computerized record keeping.

Get different magnet for fishing. Lots of them get lost underwater. Big. Round so no corners to catch. Big U bolt attachment on the back. This way, you don't lose your magnet. The magnet stick you have, guaranteed it'll get snagged in underwater tree limbs. You'll either go swimming, or go without.
Great video....to be honest you would probably make good money reselling all them good sheets of plywood on second hand market
