      Supposed to add a bit of oil and going slow when drilling. Because what is being drilled doesn't matter too much as it's thinner and soft you can get away with it but on super hard materials.. going slow and adding pressure while oiling prevents it overheating and snapping the drill.

    If you don’t have an old valve stem, I’ve used steel stick to pack that hole and by George, it works damn well. Just a little bit and a backing of a piece of gaff/guerrilla to hold it in place while it sets. I love this channel and these dudes are real fuggin men. Thanks for all the info as always guys. You rock.

    been doing 2 rim locks for years with tubes. Helps balance the wheels too as well as extra security in case of flats. A little more trouble changing tires but don't do that too often. Do you release the air once the bead is seated?

    • @InsideEnduro
      @InsideEnduro  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good call! No we don't usually release the air - it leaks out typically within a day. Might be a good idea to release it if you're going to go ride it right away though!

    how about 3 rimlocks each 120 degrees apart? I saw a couple of gold riders using this setup on Xross this yr…I wonder if thats really useful🤷‍♂️

    • @thomas930409
      @thomas930409 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I am planning to do that. It's about balance and preventing the tire from burping(tubeless conversion). I want to use the original valve stem hole to install the first rimlock, the second and third will have their own hole exactly at 120 and 240 degrees. A presta style tubeless valve will be installed just offset away from any rimlock stem, while also avoiding the rim seam/weld.
      This way every new hole avoids the rim seam/weld and falls into one of the 9 big spaces where the spokes align away from each other. On top of these features, i will add some tubeless sealant to seal and counterbalance the wheel. No spoke/glue on balance weights will be added.
      Weight doesn't matter, this is going to be an adventure bike that needs to go through hell and back, while being reliable and heavy duty.
      I have street trial and bmx background, so it is natural to mix the wisdom and exp I got from those two wheeler sports.

    Does the air come out on its own or do you pull the valve stem or push to drain?

    That "Fire power" is just a normal tubeless rim valve stem. They works on car and bike wheels.

    Just followed this guide and it has been hooking up on the 22’ TE300! Do you go through the xtrem quickly and lube both same time? What im trying to say is, if front tire is in good condition, do you still lube at a certain interval? Would really appreciate your input awesome and hilarious video!!

    • @InsideEnduro
      @InsideEnduro  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Glad you enjoyed it! We only lube mousse bibs when changing a tire. No need to pull a bib out just to lube it.

    I’m about to install and use my first set of mouse’s. My question is, with the TuBliss system, we use Armoral to lube the tire. It always dries and sets up fine. I’ve never had a tire rotate. That being said, can that be used as well as the window cleaner, or should one use nothing but the window cleaner?

    Awesome video, thanks fellas. Quick question, when you run the gorilla tape around the rim, are you cutting out a section where the air valve comes through? Or are you blowing the air under the gorilla tape? Thank you!
