@@patelkishan9761 add water so phenol doesn't reduce. But phenol will never react with acetic anhydride because acetic anhydride is present on the surface of paracetamol in aqueous/solid state not liquid.

You could have used a reducing agent like Na2SO3 and NaHSO3 to prevent the oxidation from the Phenol to Hydroquinone-like structures.
