@@Timmyjg2004 Because a 50/50 chance of winning over 11 times the 8,800 is too good to pass up unless you're desperate for 8,800. Even in Michael's situation I would've gone for it as I'd be able to survive just fine even if I lost even if I'd still be tight on cash going forward, and the 50/50 opportunity to improve my quality of life long term with 100k would make it worth the risk. The Banker knew that would be an extremely difficult risk for Michael to take though which is why he offered him the gamble.
