Having watched all of these Series 1 episodes so far on the channel, I can see exactly why they changed the format in Round 1 to just be "answer a generic numbers-based question in the fastest time" from Series 2 onwards: the original format was chronically slow because you'd have to go through tons of questions just to get 6 winners. The replacement format from Series 2 effectively ensured a winner in every question, as the likelihood of no one answering the question was vanishingly small (though they came close in Series 4 with a tennis question getting just one person playing -- luckily she got it right -- lol), and also, only 6 questions had to be asked to find 6 winners, rather than the umpteen number of questions in Series 1. Really hope this game show comes back in the future tbh. Only problem is that it couldn't be associated to the National Lottery, unless the new owners of it agreed to do the draws on a TV programme again, and without the lottery stuff, it'd be difficult to bring the programme back (although it could be done if they introduced some other aspect into the format to simulate the lottery related stuff).

Loved this. Questions weren’t too difficult, great set and format. The only thing I hated about this show was the randomness at picking the solitary player to take on the 100. Couldn’t they have done a qualifying question instead? But a good quiz which deserved a longer run.

Having broken my neck falling off a galloping horse some years back, the Gladiator scene brought back some painful memories. I was off work too for about eight months and gradually got back but later developed a disability as a result.

Worst start ever which turned around really nicely knocking out 9 blues (amazing record there) and ends up getting £75k.

England had an awful starting 11 this game. Carson was pretty rubbish. Lescott was no Terry. Richards and Bridge were two average Premier League full-backs. Barry was tidy but always looked like he was running through treacle. Joe Cole was forever injured, and didn't fulfill 50% of his potential. Wright-Phillips was a Championship player if you took away his pace. And Crouch, much as I liked him and he could be effective, he wasn't someone opposition would lose sleep over.
