I've got one, they are amazing. I know 2k is a massive lay out but they will pay for themselves. You can go anywhere theres a road. If you are thinking about one, I cannot recomend these highly enough. 👌
What about locking your car and moving around ontop? Causing alarm to go off? Any experience with this. Thankyou :)
@@lukespovey955 quite a few cars give the option of turning the locked sensors off before you exit the vehicle. Check the user manual for your car they are all different.

That ladder looks bit cheap and can't see they lasting long..and looks like it's liable to scratch car. Love the idea but looks like quite few negatives.
And it looks way expensive for what it is..
How does it handles rain in windy conditions? I see that lateral windows can be closed, but front and rear windows only have mosquito net. Am i correct? Thanks.

Called a Kwiky tent in Australia & costs $900 AUD right now! They are also made very cheaply in China! I have one & have repaired it a couple of times. The best feature of it is that it goes up & comes down quicker than any other tent on the market.

Are there any security features? My worry is that someone may detached it from the roof and steal it if you leave the car un attended for a hike for example. Thanks
No bolts are easilly reachable

Are the cars rated for such a roof load. Carrying capacity is usually restricted to a relatively low level.

The prices of these car tents are ludicrous.
Adding a roof rack and 64kg for the roof tent plus say 150kg for a male and female makes it around 220 to 230 kg of weight on the car roof that’s like having a motorbike on top of you’re roof u sure that’s not goin to damage the roof

Roofs have weight limits? My Mercedes Benz C class estate roof weight limit is 100kg. Oops
Dynamic weight capacity. While it is parked the roof steel frame can support hundreds of kg.
And its low enough to not be charged the extra rate on the toll roads

France. The toll roads cost the toll based on light beams set at certain heights to tell the difference between cars caravans and trucks etc.

you guys REALLY need to design a simple, safety redundancy method so that someone on the outside can't shut the tentbox while you're inside it (and trap you). I feel like there is a real possibility of a crazy person doing this out in the wild. Like a stick or something that you make vertical from the inside, and can't shut until you take it down- from the inside. There are crazies out there that'd do that kinda' thing
