Tentbox now has a modification for the rain cover support frame, six foam sleeves that slide over the poles. They should send them out for free, I received mine last month!
Yea but it’s needed to help support a small portion of weight of anyone in the tent as well as sleeping in it without the ladder if the wind picks up would not be pleasant.
Hi mate. Thanks for the video! I went ahead and bought those roof bars for my dacia duster. I also have a tentbox . I read on the instructions that the maximum load for the bars was 90kg. How have yours been thus far? Are they strong enough? Thanks!
The roofbars I used are in the video description with a link to them. I did but I thought it was to big for my needs and take up a lot more space on my roof then I wanted.
@@davidluppie5311 It’s going to be different depending on vehicle but before the roof tent I was getting over 50. 52 or so. With the Cargo 1.0 I was getting 47.8 mpg.
@@Lively_Trek Hi some advise pls.just bought a 2nd Howling moon rooftop tent for my 2014 4×4 duster, according to the dealer its to heavy to mount on the sidebars of the duster.56kg.i am in Namibia and i have seen lots of dusters in South Africa with rooftop tents.pls advise.
There not for everyone. Mine reminds me of Jeep Grand Cherokee my family once owned. Last camping trip I went on I bumped into a couple who had the cargo TentBox on top of their Duster. They are cheap, not much can go wrong and seem reliable and solid. It gets the job done.
@@Lively_Treklook at European sales. Tipped kia and hyundai off the top as value for money and reliability. A car is not a fashion statement imo it’s there to do a job
@@volt8684 No one buys a duster for a fashion statement I assure you. If you ever seen one inside they are basic and plastic everywhere. Hence I said cheap and those other brands you mentioned are more expensive and I wouldn’t go near a Kia personally bad experience with them. I love to have something with more ground clearance but realistically I need a daily driver. I am not sure what point your trying to make other then give me a hard time. Everyone has had a bad experience with any car. People who buy a Dacia brand tend to be those you just want basic reliability. If I wanted style I go for something more rugged. If I had money I would have went for a Toyota Land Cruiser.
I have both the Logan and the duster for my wife. The Logan estate car has done nearly 90,000 miles and is still going strong today. I go camping and fishing and cannot see past them. Brilliant cars with no trouble at all. Great video thanks for the info
Awesome video!

Yea I had them installed in a few days after the video.
It would be nice to remove the latter once inside the tent sleeping, keeping away unwanted guess.

Yea bars have been great. I am using the same set for my Cargo currently since changing up at the end of last year.
Hey great vid what roof bars did you use? also did you think about the XL?

Bro, what's the mpg loss with the rooftop tent on? 49.7mpg vs. what?

Hi is your tentbox mounted on a roofrack or just the crossbars

Hi. What is the height from the floor of the unfolded tent to the ground? Regards.
Just under 1.7m (1,693mm to be near exact).
Actually I forgot the rails so probably 2m. If you want the livingpod tent box makes order the 2.2
Does the ladder retract when in the tent?
@@itsahzthing3433 No. when in the tent you need to keep the ladder in place. Only when you fold up your tent do you then put your ladder away.
Does carrying the tent box damage the fuel economy much as all the vlogs I watch do not mention its impact?
Looks narrow and small inside. I think XL is much better.
imagine buying a dacia
