    Just Purchased (HS-720G) (377Grams) For Family Member For 2023. I May Go For HS-720E ( 495 Gram) Just Under 500 Gram Weight, Have A2Cofc Can Fly It In A1 Category Until Jan 2026. To Find Drones Just Under 500 Gram Not Many. I Like The Lights on 4 Drones Arms And The Landing Lights To See It On Gloomy Winter Days ,Camera Is Good Enough For Me.( I Have DJI SPARK(300Gram) (For Many Years.) Time For Change. Holystone Drones Are G/M/Money Using Latest Technology Now .Thanks.

    The left antenna should have a wire in it, the right one is just for appearance

    It seems a bit "plasticy" to me. I think for £300 I would rather go for a decent used Mavic Mini 2. I have the Mini, and apart from a 4K camera, I'm really pleased with it. I recently went on a video shoot to Poland with my Mini, and I was really impressed even though it's only a 2.7K camera.
    Never the less, a very informative video Lee.

    HolyStone will send a free battery if you contact them with your order number and Amazon U.K. had them in stock. I now have 4 batteries and can’t wait to get out and learn how to fly better. Great video btw.

    Very good video with some information that I've been looking for. I was going to purchase a DJI mini 2 drone but I found that my phone is not compatible by researching lists for compatible phones for the drone. I don't want to have to purchase a new phone just for that purpose. I have a Moto G6 which is 4 years old and that's considered an antique in the cell phone world but it's what I use to fly my HS100. Do you think I will need to upgrade my phone to fly the Holy Stone 720g?

    This is a really helpful review (also the 720E). As a potential beginner, I was wondering whether I would have a better experience picking up a second hand DJI Mavic Mini (V1- I am not bothered about 4K) or for something like this.

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Don't get a model that doesn't have a full gimbal on it. If you get one without a gimbal you are wasting your money unless you want shaky, un-stabilised unusable footage..

      @@Painless360 Hi- I got a 720G for £239- really happy- it is idiot proof for a learner, flies well in terrible conditions and survived some quite serious crashes. I don't think I would have felt comfortable putting something more expensive through this hell. This drone is a really good balance between higher end features and cost. My first flight was in Iceland at -2 and an 8m/s gusting wind: th-cam.com/video/Y0Bs1Seh_m0/w-d-xo.html

    The problem I have had with this drone and the HS720E is that both my original did a fly away, now having flown drones since 2018 I think I may have got the hang of it by now, each fly away did the same, after setting things up and then starting within minutes the drone decided to fly to its left so on pressing RH nothing happens, I then try to control the drone myself again nothing so in total I have lost the following 1xHS720E & HS720G being fair to Holy Stone they have replaced all the fly aways I've had, so far play to then. ~In my opinion there is something not quite right withe the drone / controller or both which needs sorting, I'm sure that Holy Stone can't keep replacing these fly aways. All that said I'm still of the option that these drones perform and look good despite the obvious. So for now I'll keep my fait hin Holy Stone.

      @Painless360  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you want to look at the countryside on your phone (and want it super easy to learn to use) then these 'DJI' style flying camera drones are a great choice. DJI are the market leader but there are others, like thie one in this video. My top tip is get one with a gimbal for stable video. To fly legally in the UK you will need to register. It's not expensive and if you get insurance through someone like FPVUK then they can do it for you... best of luck

    Mavic Mini SE same price and trust me it’s better. I don’t care about specs. I fly a lot of drones. Holy Stone has some decent stuff, but Mini SE is way better in so many ways.

    Sometimes i think that for video footage these camera drones are much better with less hassel then any FPV drone. That causes internal conflict in my brain

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think of DJI style flying camera drones and FPV Quadcopters as completely different model types.
