Holly stone does keep improving their drones. I remember the H S 700. It had a little box camera that was static"" no gimble "" dial , and the props were not foldable, and no bottom sensor. . So at least they keep making them better, and your right they do have very good support.

Thanks again cap for the channel and going out in the cold for us. You picked up on the 3 axis bloop. I had an HS700 drone a few years back and as my 2nd drone and it served me well. Had a few issues with the remote and my buddy had issues with his camera. Like most drone cust service it was sending emails back and forth with pics, but they did replace both those items for us. The 2 axis gimble is still better then the older fixed cameras, but don't expect to get the stability of a 3 axis drone.

dont wish a maserati on anyone, they are mostly terrible cars, which is why they sink like a rock in value. that said, they can be impressive for the price if you buy an old one and know what to look for and what to avoid, like one of the worst AT's in the history of cars. should anything go wrong though, its no jeep. hand made cars are super expensive to work on.
I have a couple of other Holy Stone drones and I must say their customer care is first rate and for beginners the drones are great :-) Yours seems to cope with the wind far better than mine do though.
Bought the 720g flown 5 times last 2 times had major fly aways all calibrated gyro good and 15 satiate any idea? My 110 does just fine in the same environment

I was pretty sure that you will be making a video on the Holystone HS720G as I already saw the official release video on Holystone's channel! It is definitely another good Budget drone for beginners! I can't find its price anwhere, not even in a single link but I am pretty confident that it costs less then 400 dollars! It flies nicely and is also stable (ignore when GPS is off, lol) and has satisfactory precise Waypoints, Follow me, Orbit mode and Return to Home. I think that Holystone will be making a 3 axis Gimbal drone soon! Overall, it is not so different from other beginner drones may it be the former Holystone Drones but these controllers are impressive as they have the small display even though they don't show the thing that the camera sees and they are powered by only two AA batteries! Also the range of 720G as well as flight time is ordinary but it is pretty fast, probably 50 Kph+!
I watched your vid on the holystone 720 a few years ago. So I purchased one. Had lots of fun with it. Last month it decided to leave me. Wouldn't respond to controller and crashed into treetops to far for me to recover. I'm interested in one of the mini drones now but cannot make my mind up.
I like the pictures!!! I was a photographer first, then a dronnie. Always like to check the quality of these budget cameras. Have liked this one the best so far.
my app settings don't seem to have the same features you have. I got the app from the android app store. I can't get it to stay out of beginner mode. No camera settings, no height, speed or distance. Hi, greetings from Costa Rica. I have this model but I have some issues with the app, I can't see nothing on my phone, there is other app? I use ophelia go by the way.
Look at the specs of your phone and make sure the specs say your phone has 802.11ac wifi. Also, NEVER open the app until you first connect the wifi on your phone to the wifi of the drone. Once connected, then open the app.
I have one but got it in the winter where it was raining and snowing... I'm a full on beginner, I did try a few test flights in my back yard but ended up crashing it and damaging the blades

Perhaps your controller (the remote) is not connected to the drone correctly. If it is connected, then it could be that your camera gears are busted (they break easily if gimbal guard is left on when powering on).
I have a question. I have crashed HS720G twice, gentle crashes, but I cannot get the props to stop spinning. Tried holding down stick for 3 seconds, hit lock button, held lock button for 3 seconds. All I can do is shut off the battery or eject the battery. Why can't I get the props to stop?
holding down the left joystick is the way to stop the props. You could also pull both joysticks down and out, or down and in, but I wouldn't advise a newbie to try that on landing unless all hell is breaking loose.

My brain is foggy. I honestly don't recall both very well. But the "G" would mean GIMBLE and the "E" would mean EIS, so those may be the only differences.
Nearly all the Holy Stone products share the DNA with the MJX RC company ( which is a good thing ). This particular model appears to be the MJX B12 EIS model repackaged with the addition of a 2 axis EIS camera. The B12 is a very good reasonably priced drone, with the addition of the gimbal this HS720G is even better. You pay a premium for the Holy Stone brand, but they do have an excellent customer service should you require.

Some of these drone videos are old, therefore the companies that sell the drone will replace it with another if the drone is no longer available on their site.

Hey question - i got this drone to make fishing videos on my boat and for whatever reason when i turn it on i can’t get the drone to connect to on the app when I’m out there on it. I have cell service and am connected to the Wi-Fi but for whatever reason i can’t get satellite signals on the remote face even tho I’m in the harbor. Any idea what the problem might be?
You don’t need cell service to use a drone. You simple need to connect your phone to the wifi coming off the drone. Once you do that, then you can open the app. You can’t get satilites until you complete a compass calibration.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 yes I’m aware of that. It is connected to the drone wifi i just can’t get a satellite signal on the remote and the the drone battery level does not appear on the controller as well. Was thinking the gps on the boat might be getting in the way?
@@nyciscfishing1561 Your issue means you skipped over the part in the manual that tells you how to bind the remote to the drone. Turn everything off, then turn on the drone and wait 5 seconds. Next pickup the remote and hold down the red button that starts the motors. While holding down the button, turn on the remote and you should now be connected. You only need do this once.

They usually start off with a high price but then as the year progresses the price drops. In some countries where the DJI products are not sold, this then becomes an option.

Yes, no problem. Everything will work (except the maps) as long as the old phone can talk to wifi at 802.11AC.

Whats the charge time on the batteries? Is it like 5 hours per battery like the HS720E?
Not sure, mine came 3/4 charged, so charge time was short. USB charging of batteries is normally not super fast.

These drones are not designed to carry additional weight and fly well.

I looked at the link for the drone and it came up with a Syma Foldable GPS Drone with 4K. Not the one in the video.
Some of these drone videos are old, therefore the companies that sell the drone will replace it with another if the drone is no longer available on their site.
Great videos review of the hs720g. Learned a couple of things as well.
Wow is nice to ser other drone companies getting into the mix with good products. I wonder why Skydio don’t come out with a drone with a controller. The drone looks great for the entry/budget section of the market.

What drones don’t you have to do the spin 3 times and gimble reset on every time you fly ?
That is a GPS Camera Drone thing (the spinning) and only applies mostly to drones under $299 US
Could you point me in a direction for a drive you can just switch on and fly fast with out having to do that really like your vides keep up the good work I am from the uk

Hey question - i got this drone to make fishing videos on my boat and for whatever reason when i turn it on i can’t get the drone to connect to on the app when I’m out there on it. I have cell service and am connected to the Wi-Fi but for whatever reason i can’t get satellite signals on the remote face even tho I’m in the harbor. Any idea what the problem might be?
You don’t need cell service to use a drone. You simple need to connect your phone to the wifi coming off the drone. Once you do that, then you can open the app. You can’t get satilites until you complete a compass calibration.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 yes I’m aware of that. It is connected to the drone wifi i just can’t get a satellite signal on the remote and the the drone battery level does not appear on the controller as well. Was thinking the gps on the boat might be getting in the way?
@@nyciscfishing1561 Your issue means you skipped over the part in the manual that tells you how to bind the remote to the drone. Turn everything off, then turn on the drone and wait 5 seconds. Next pickup the remote and hold down the red button that starts the motors. While holding down the button, turn on the remote and you should now be connected. You only need do this once.

No idea. I actually thought it was available in the UK because that was the initial info I had received.

I have seen many of your videos. Just wondering why you never did palm landing/take off. Asking because I see many many people in TH-cam do it. Apart from the slight risk, is there anything bad to it?
In order to test the accuracy of a return to home, you have to take off from a specific spot and allow the drone to land itself.
How does this compare to the bugs 16pro

Thanks for the review CD! Yeah I guess it's okay, but for $300, that's getting into DJI territory.
They usually start off with a high price but then as the year progresses the price drops. In some countries where the DJI products are not sold, this then becomes an option.
