Yeah i will retest it in another location soon, i think i got pretty bad signal interference on this field with all the houses surrounding it, the other range test videos i saw on this drone, 2 guys got over 1km easy but they were flying in the country side where there is no signal interference
You may need to re-orient your antennas to get better signal and further range. Try pointing your antennas downward toward the ground so that they arent immediately behind your phone while atill oriented perpendciular to the drone. Also angle the antenna slightly slanted like an upside down "V" so that you get some horizontal polarization rather than purely vertical polarization. Antenna diversity (pointing them at different angles) is improtant to increase signal range and strength.
Yeah i know it's usually the other way around and the wifi craps out and freezes first, I think i was getting bad interference on this day cause of the houses, so i will try another range test later in another location. Seen Pete from RC escape get over 1km with his and also another guy get over 1km with also the wifi connection as well, but both of them were no where near any housing so had zero interference for such a test. Cheers for watching James 👍
Cheers Dan, had too much interference from the houses nearby i think, as in the same spot the HS710 i tested got out to 700m easily. Will have to retest this HS720G in another location next time.
I have not been able to get mine to go past 1000 ft or basically 300m. Im assuming if anything it could go farther in the middle of nowhere with no electronic or radio interference. But anywhere else, 1000 ft is the cap.
Looks like a decent gimbal and video but of course wifi is the limit. I had a Parrot Disco drone wing with a conversion to 4G connection with unlimited range.
Yeah i had too much wifi interference in thes area due to all the houses along this field on the Swan. I have seen some guys in the US and Europe go out to over 1km with this HS720G drone with wifi fpv signal still intact, but they were out in a desert valley or out in the sticks.
I just got mine yesterday and so far I can’t get it to fly further than about 250 feet before losing transmission. Even flying in an open field away from power lines and any sort of interference. Pretty irritating.

I've got to agree with you Dave, such a cool drone, but definately dissapointing range comparing it to the factory claim. thanks for sharing bud!😀

Great view from up there- great video ‼️👍👍🦾🦾
Yeah it's a great spot to fly here
Nice job Dave, my NEHEME 525 came today and I will try to fly it soon.
Ah that's great it arrived quick from Amazon Greg, happy flying brother

Thank for that video I just got one today
It's surprising the video link was stronger than the rc link. Thanks Dave.

Well that’s a shame it wasn’t able to get out to 1km. Good try at it though 👍💯

Hello from Melbourne
Hello mate, thanks for watching 👍
The distance should include the elevation component. So closer to 400m.

Im too scared to lose ny drone, im a safe pilot, i dont fly drones out of range
Thanks for watching 👍

Maybe you have it still set to beginner mode in the settings, that will restrict the flight distance
@@PERTHWESTOZRC i'll have to check that next time, thanks for the tip
today i was able to go 700 meters with this drone, and when i came back i went up to 400 meters. just gotta get away from houses
