The way Tomb Raider 1-3 remastered was handled made me so happy. It truly was a project made with love. I don't get why Resident Evil isn't doing something like that...? It truly doesn't make sense. I would settle for a lazy port at this rate, just give me the damn games lmao. But I don't get why they don't want to preserve the legacy they built. I know there's many people like myself who would throw down some cash for a nice remastered collection. Hopefully Tomb Raider's recent release will be a stepping stone.

The situation is the same, or even worse, on Nintendo Switch. On WiiU you could buy classic games for many different consoles: NES, SNES, N64, Turbo Grafix 16, Wii. On Switch, the only way to play the classics is through a subscription model. Subscribe to EVERYTHING, own NOTHING. I hope that this video and others like it will have the widest possible reach. We need to talk about it loudly and make it clear that this is not the way. At least give us a choice, if someone wants to use the subscription, I have no problem with that. But don't take away the opportunity to buy the digital version.

Sony and Capcom must of had some weird contract, because I don’t think Sony is restricting the ability to purchase it as they don’t even restrict their first party games. If Sony was desperate to get people to sign up for ps+ they’d put everything behind the paywall. So it’s very weird. From Capcoms pov, you’d think they’d make MORE money if they let people buy their games, so I’m not sure why capcom would want this. The fact they re released garbage like re6 multiple times and not any of the classic re games is actually laughable.
PS5 continues to be a Joke of a Console I can’t even buy Syphon Filter 3 on PS5 I bought the first 2 but they wont let you complete the Trilogy… It too is locked behind a paywall sucks balls!

Then what happens if they do remaster them? How will I know if they honor my purchase if they haven’t done it now
I haven’t had ps plus in a few years and I really don’t miss it at all. This is total bs what they’ve done with these classics. Basically just ignoring all the potential money from people purchasing these classics on ps5. I already bought them all on ps3 before and I would purchase them all again if they added trophies and some other quality of life updates. @@JacobLasher best bet you have is the framework of the GOG version. A modern version is there they just need to bring it to console
capcom needs to remember where they came from. without the early success of the OG RE games, Resident Evil wouldn't be what it is today.
