what would be perfect? if capcom still had the original backgrounds source from the old games, but sadly they seems to not have, they lost even backgrounds from RE1 remake. so what i would expect is a AI uspcaling, and at least RE3 have 480p backgrounds so already looks a better start point to upscale, but 1 and 2 are only 240p. i dont think they would recreate those scenarios from scratch to make new renders of the background. other trilogy of games i wish also a Remaster in the same style is the Tekken 1,2 and 3 games.
The idea of remastering would allow us to rediscover the original games beyond the remakes, rather than replacing them, they could complete them, especially with RE3 for example where the remake was cut from part of the original game 🤔
@@wolffe37And when RE9 isn’t released before this classic remastered collection, some events from classic and remake timeline can still be canon to connect to RE9.
That would be a great idea because I am right now playing the RE 1 Remake and I've been enjoying it a lot. Although I will certainly be playing other RE games going forward, it saddens me a bit that the fixed camera style of RE games will fade out in favor of the over the shoulder camera, so having access to other games that use the same classic style would be great.
If the original trio were to be ported over to Switch, then it would sell like hotcakes! 🎉 But part of the reason for the interest in remastering the original games is the dissatisfaction in some of the recent game titles, example, RE3 remake. The huge amount of cut content, roughly 75%, made a lot of fans go back to playing the original RE3, myself included! Regardless, let's hope that Capcom will grant our wishes in the near future! ❤
A remaster if it was handled like Tomb Raider 1-6 remastered, wouldn’t remove any content and would actually restore any content that was originally cut, keep all content, improve graphics; remake the models (still same outfits models just look better), remake all loading screens and menus to be updated graphics, allow to toggle between remaster and og and much more Basically you would WANT a RE3 remastered
Maybe im in minority, but didnt like Re2 Remake for many reasons, how story was reshaped, how character's personalities and their relationships were redone, i really didnt like that. @@shadow_dancer I kinda agree with you although I played the hell out of RE2R, it's not a good remake either. It was first announced as a remake then Capcom starting referring to it as a reimagining of RE2R, which wasn't what we expected. It feels rushed on certain aspects. A and B scenarios being the same... Cut enemies, cut areas... It could have been way better. RE3R wasn't the only flawed remake imo.

I personally like how GOG brings old games onto their platform: Updating only just enough to become accessible and playable on modern machines, preserving the original game as much as technically possible. While they mostly do this with RE 1-3, I noticed the models are scaled up to twice the resolution which required the Classic REbirth mod to DOWNSCALE it so the resolution of the models would match that of the pre-rendered backgrounds for a more consistent presentation. Call me nostalgia blind but changing an old game's textures, lighting and controls to the arbitrary sensibilities of our current year is too much of a trade off for accessibility. Older games not only have the power to transport me to a different place and situation, but depending on how old the game is, they can transport me to a different time and make me appreciate the artistry and ingenuity of those involved, rather than hiding it under new textures that prioritize fidelity at any cost. The remasters that add a toggle between the original graphics and newer graphics is a nice sentiment, but I've never seen a game pull this off without compromises to the original presentation in some way (*citation needed lol I know), cementing the idea to many that it actually DID need such a facelift. I appreciate what Nightdive has done with Doom 1 + 2 on Steam. They updated a lot of things, added built in multiplayer, made sure the DOS version is playable on modern hardware, included asset files for the modding community, and made it all a free update for those who already own the game. I know that model wouldn't work for everything, and it's not a 1:1 situation with other games, but that kind of mix between accessibility and preservation is underrated. I know I'm not the demographic for remastered games, though I ultimately don't mind them because they do remind me of the games themselves which I then in turn either emulate, use community patches to get running on modern hardware or replay on original hardware and a CRT display (assuming I already have the game or can obtain it cheaply). I can't help but feel like a sucker for buying a new version of a game I have already bought.
Backwards compatibility should of been an option for all consoles, instead of just remastering everything all to just squeeze people of their money & giving us remastered garbage.

I still have the original PS1 games such as RE 1-3, Parasite Eve 1-2, Dino Crisis 1-2, and King's Field, but it would be so much easier to play with PS5 at this point for several reasons. So it's definitely a yes from me for a remaster.

While I wouldn't say no to a remaster collection of RE games, I think there are a bunch of games I would prefer getting that treatment over RE, like Parasite Eve, Twisted Metal, Street Fighter EX, Fear Effect, a few Tales of (Destiny, Phantasia, Legendia and Abyss), Bloody Roar, Breath of Fire, Bugs Bunny PS1 Time games, MegaMan Legends, Tenchu 1-3, Ape Escape, Dead 2 Rights, Sly Cooper, .hack/IMOQ, Koudelka/Shadow Hearts, Wild Arms, Viewtiful Joe, Time Splitters, Xenosaga, Soul Calibur, Crazy Taxi, and a bunch of single entry games like Vagrant Story, Radiata Stories, Haunting Ground, Brave Fencer Musashi, Skies of Arcadia, Galerians, and a few more. All of these would benefit greatly from remasters with QoL improvements, for example, playing Tenchu 1 or 2 nowadays, while the games are great, the controls feel a bit outdated, but that freaking camera it's probably it's biggest flaw, and many games from the PS1 & PS2 era suffer from the same issues. Others would benefit just by being officially available, like Parasite Eve, and everything new added would be a bonus.
Absolutely, that's why I included other games in the video including parasite eve 😉 There are many classic games I'd love to see return such as Pandemonium but my channel focuses on RE, mostly, so that's why I picked this example. Thanks for your comment !
I'd buy those in a heart beat. I did it with Tomb Raider, with it's physical release that recently dropped and would do the same for RE. I can't stand the remakes, they're so inconsistent, and don't get me started on RE3R... Ugh.

The point of a remaster is to preserve the original game without heavy alterations. It's basically the same old game but with better controls and graphics, nothing more. Yeah but exclusive to GoG and not like Tomb Raider Remaster I-III having the remaster for all digital stores.😑 Still waiting for any of them for Steam purchase. 😐 Also Capcom doesn't care about retro releases mostly the PS1 (not action types I am referring too).😞
If that happens, they should have RE2 and RE3 have the visuals look like RE0/RE1make HD remaster. Even add mission objectives similar to RE7, RE2make, RE3make, Village and RE4make. I think Survivor should also be included in the collection. Have the characters mouths move and even have characters have specific poses like the RE1make, RE0, RE4 and beyond. And when players lose a life, have an option to continue or give up.
Remake don’t cut content. Lazymake do cut content. Remake are Silent Hill 2 (2024), Last of us 1 (2022) Lazymake are Resident Evil 2 (2019), Resident Evil 3 (2020), Resident Evil 4 (2023)
I be very interested in buying the remasters, as long as they are faithful right beside Tomb Raider Remaster. As much as I've heard positive reception of RE2Remake, I still haven't brought it yet including RE3Remake which I've heard mixed things about it and RE4Remake since I've played thru RE4 a dozen times and to me doesn't seem as polished or exciting as the original.
They should (IMO) do the remasters the way they've handled RE2, RE3, RE4, but in each of those games, once you've beat it, have a "classic remaster option" that is the entire original game in it's orignal state with the exception of updated resolutions, character models, etc, but don't change any other content, just update the visuals.
It's not going to happen because capcom knows it's too popular. If they released it and released new resident evil game's what are the chances people we buy the new ones?
@@hyperfusiongear9050 I thought about it too while making the video 😲 Frankly, I think that's why there are no ports of these game yet. But with GOG releasing the trilogy for PCs and RE1 director's cut being on the PlayStation store along with dino crisis now... Maybe things are about to change! There is profit to be made for minimal cost. I'm sure we'll get there someday. Although, Capcom's remasters have been kinda lazy. (Blurry cutscenes, blurry textures...) So I don't picture them remastering the originals the way Tomb Raider 's classics are being remastered. But just imagine they do... 😮
@clamojoat8543 you will be surprise because fans love the first three just imagine they remastered those one like the tomb raider 1-3 the sales will go off the roof. Or to make it even better adding the resident evil outbreak file game's.
I feel Capcom probably wouldn't do this as the community have already beaten them to it with mods etc. and new ones get released all the time. They also probably wouldn't want to run the risk of putting an official seal on a modification of their original works (look how well that worked in the case of GTA remaster collection) especially after the success of their full-blown remakes. Could you imagine the uproar if Capcom did an AI upscale or changed the voice acting or censorship/changes? It's best to let the originals stand as they are. It's just different than Tomb Raiders case (a fully 3D action game that struggled to even be compatible with modern hardware and would benefit from higher fps, resolutions, models, textures etc).
@@HDRcade I don't think it's impossible. All it would take is an artist to recreate the static backgrounds. There's no reason to change the voice acting. No censorship required. Again, all they have to do is follow on Tomb Raider's footsteps. Even these games were heavily modded by the TR community. Angel of Darkness for example was fixed by the fans and yet here we are with a remaster coming out in a few months. On the other hand, I think you're right about Capcom not being interested by this idea. At least for now... 😉
@HDRcade I disagree since Consoles based Gamers (Nintendo Brand Fans/Xbox Brand Fans/Non PlayStation Plus Premium Members) are missing out Resident Evil 1 (1996), Resident Evil 2 (1998), Resident Evil 3 (1999) unlike Computer based Gamers has Gog Store.
@@nintendogamingchannel1007 so basically they can re-release the originals like they just did recently with Dino Crisis on PS5. I don't understand why that would require a remaster?
As someone who was a teen during the RE 1- 3 era and have enjoyed the trilogy, I have no desire to return to fixed camera tank controls of older survival horror games. Especially after the Remakes.
How would they remaster it exactly? The backgrounds were 2d. Outside of ai upscaling them like the seamless hd mods you can get on pc, i dont see how they can get better without just making from scratch. Sure make the 3d models better. People also forget its hard to port features from one version onto another without the source code that made both those versions. Not as simple as movie a file over. Sega saturn used files different to playstation, thats also different to the pc port. You can't puzzle them together like people think.
It would be obsolete so probably wouldn't make much money. We already have remakes of all these games. Tomb Raider games don't have remakes, unless you count Anniversary.
@@Annachank Must be what the executives think, because it's not happening. With the remakes already existing, there's a very very niche market for the old games. Only old fans will buy it and only a small percentage of them anyway. Think of this from the perspective of the suits that control the company and are only motivated by money. Think of it from the perspective of new fans that would have no interest in the older games with tank controls and menu reloading. Nobody cares what YOU think. I'm not saying what I think. @@synaesthesia2010 the game you're talking about is a remake not a remaster. As for RE2 and 3. They were not remasters or remakes. It was just the same version as PS1 but with slightly better graphics. These are actually rare copies today and they are quite expensive! A remake is built from 0. The point of a remaster is to preserve the original game without heavy alterations. It's basically the same old game but with better controls and graphics, nothing more. A remaster is a good way of bringing back old games that are now unavailable anywhere except on emulator. That's what I explained in this video.
if they did the original remake in UR5 I think people will be satisfied and fix 3 remake. 2 nailed it. 3 was so bad I was like WTF that's the point
@@clamojoat8543no capcom said it won't return to fix resident evil 2 and 3 reimagined are finished products resident evil 1 reimagined make non sense better a remaster trilogy of the original
@@genesis26-g2z not what I was told 🤡
Re1 already gotten a great upgrade, re2 remake did a great job. Re 3, was ok, but I understand the hate it gets.
what happened with 3 was they were doing 2 and 3 @ the same time and 2 got more time. they just rushed 3 to get it done and messed it all up
Yeah but exclusive to GoG and not like Tomb Raider Remaster I-III having the remaster for all digital stores.😑
Still waiting for any of them for Steam purchase. 😐
Also Capcom doesn't care about retro releases mostly the PS1 (not action types I am referring too).😞
NO EXCLUSIVITY GODDAMIT!!
Dont hold you're breath
Never! Just talking about possibilities... 👀
I want it , I need It❤
Re1-3 are on gog so remaster already done
@@tobiassjogren7491 watch the video.
Done for PC players. Console players would like this. I want to own a copy that i can hold.
hell just do like what did with re 1 for re 2 and re 3.
Remake don’t cut content.
Lazymake do cut content.
Remake are Silent Hill 2 (2024), Last of us 1 (2022)
Lazymake are Resident Evil 2 (2019), Resident Evil 3 (2020), Resident Evil 4 (2023)
@@JVTechandRC So you want a remastered version of the OG game within the remakes. That's a lot haha would be great though !
the ONLY new one they are doing is 9 so IF that's Y that sounds like a dumb excuse when all the fans are asking for them
@clamojoat8543 you will be surprise because fans love the first three just imagine they remastered those one like the tomb raider 1-3 the sales will go off the roof.
@HDRcade
I disagree since Consoles based Gamers (Nintendo Brand Fans/Xbox Brand Fans/Non PlayStation Plus Premium Members) are missing out Resident Evil 1 (1996), Resident Evil 2 (1998), Resident Evil 3 (1999) unlike Computer based Gamers has Gog Store.
@@theredbutterfly-
Capcom is legally lazy like Homer Simpson.
@@nintendogamingchannel1007 so basically they can re-release the originals like they just did recently with Dino Crisis on PS5. I don't understand why that would require a remaster?
@@HDRcade becouse low poly ps1 model are obsolete now
As someone who was a teen during the RE 1- 3 era and have enjoyed the trilogy, I have no desire to return to fixed camera tank controls of older survival horror games. Especially after the Remakes.
You sound like an AI bot
for me looks like classic lara croft
How would they remaster it exactly? The backgrounds were 2d. Outside of ai upscaling them like the seamless hd mods you can get on pc, i dont see how they can get better without just making from scratch. Sure make the 3d models better. People also forget its hard to port features from one version onto another without the source code that made both those versions. Not as simple as movie a file over. Sega saturn used files different to playstation, thats also different to the pc port. You can't puzzle them together like people think.
A remaster for Resident Evil 1-3 would not work because they use static backgrounds and upscaling those backgrounds would ruin the art style.
Love your voice darling
They’re in remake mode and are busy with those so keep dreaming this isn’t in the cards anytime soon.
Capcom has already put out PC remasters of RE 1-3. 😅
@@crobinson2624 they are not remasters. Also, they are people on console.
:* ♥
What? They already did this LOL
They have not, yet ^^
You should either get a remaster or a remake. Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3 just got a remaster and remakes, that's enough. Time for something else...
GOG didn't remaster the games.
It would be obsolete so probably wouldn't make much money. We already have remakes of all these games. Tomb Raider games don't have remakes, unless you count Anniversary.
Yes, i do count anniversary.
Now thats what YOU think
@@Annachank Must be what the executives think, because it's not happening. With the remakes already existing, there's a very very niche market for the old games. Only old fans will buy it and only a small percentage of them anyway.
Think of this from the perspective of the suits that control the company and are only motivated by money.
Think of it from the perspective of new fans that would have no interest in the older games with tank controls and menu reloading.
Nobody cares what YOU think. I'm not saying what I think. I'm saying what the people in charge think. Use your brain
@@youtubesucks1821 You're not wrong, RE classic games have a niche market but that's not a bad thing. There's still profit to be made. Not every game has to make a gazillion dollars.
