I got a question. A 10 gallon pot still should take roughly how long to run? Let it run at about 175 degrees for and hour and had about 10ml!! Turned it up to about 180-185 and all my alcohol vapors blew right out the worm. How can I keep my condenser cool? I’ve tried hose water, ice, and ice water brine. Nothing seems to be working.
It sounds like you need to redesign your worm. A pot still should run at 180-185 (175 is too cool but normal for a reflux still) if you are getting vapor, your coil must not be long enough.
Is it dangerous to distill with an open flame burner?
It can be if you do it improperly.
Why do you restill it again for lawnmower fuel and call it a spirit, just asking
With a pot still, multiple distillations are required to get a high enough proof to burn the ethanol. we call it a spirit because that is what it is.
One of the many definitions of spirit is:
a volatile liquid, especially a fuel, prepared by distillation.
"aviation spirit"
archaic
a solution of volatile components extracted from something, typically by distillation or by solution in alcohol.
"spirits of turpentine"
I want this still to fit a keg, with about a 4 foot head and 4 foot long condenser, what would something like that run, I'll look for your contact info. That's a mighty fine corn squeezer! Squeeze an angels tear out of a water drop and two grains of sugar!

Can any one tell me if a heat diffuser plate Tha gos under this still do they go bad can anyone tell me if they do or not
Diffuser plates will last for a very long time.
Why ending proof is low ?
At the end of the run, water starts to come up and mix with the remaining alcohol, diluting it.
How high do you run temp for this run
On the spirit run it is about 175 degrees

yes, on a stripping run. That is max output for the still.
Hello how many mm is the Condenser tube?
The small pipe is 1/2". The water jacket is 3/4"

Why does the distillation product smell of tape?
If it smell like tape you are doing something wrong.

You are right, it is fuel. Our permit is for making ethanol fuel. That is why we are not making cuts.
