Love the video. All that preparation of the food. And then at the end he shared a plate with a stranger. He introduced the other man as brother then asked his name. We are a loving people. 🖤

When I was in Nigeria some 8 months back, I bought Abacha with fish, kpomo all ingredients 250 naira. Prize also depends the location. Good job Odinaka
Wow. I know this woman and her kids and I enjoy her abacha whenever am helping out my mum at her shop, although my mum complains i buy much kpomo(cow skin). But now I reside in Germany and I still miss it. Her daughter Odinaka is all grown ooo. Wow thanks batta box.

Nigerian cuisine is so vibrant, rich in taste and straight simply amazing, my delving into it has only been Jollof rice - a pity. Love Nigeria :)
The amount of effort put into that dish is just unbelievable, and all the tastes and the textures packed in it during the process of making... Just amazing - I wish I could visit West Africa someday, Ghana, Nigeria, and Mali dear god I hope!!

I ate this everyday back in Nigeria cos it's one of my favorite local dishes. And this video has spurred me on to prepare the one I left on my kitchen cabinet for a while now. Btw, this young lady and her family are really hardworking, go through this whole process with so much passion and love for what they do. I wish them all the best...and that whole plate for #50? Wow!
The initial process of getting the abacha done is very tedious but afterwards it gets dried up and sold in that way. Whenever you want to eat abacha, you soak the dried one for some minutes and it gets soft. Then you go ahead and prepare it. I love this! Good job for showing the eastern part of Nigeria. Odinaka you re too much!
I wish so hard that I could get Nigerian food in Denmark! Egusi and fufu changed my life when I ate it the first time! I originally live in Norway but have moved to Denmark and have lived there for 8 years. Here I can get some Etiopian food, bur what I want is Nigerian food. Thank you battabox for showing me your food culture! One day I will have enough money to travel to Nigeria and eat, see and experience everything your country have to offer. The people seems so loving and they cook with their hearts❤️ Much love from a Vietnamese guy in Denmark!

Too much work just to eat one food. I will continue buying it outside to eat. Far too cheaper than the price its been sold. It should be the most expensive food to buy in Nigeria, too many processes . Kudos to odinaka Strong lady.
Geez, you need to chill! Most vendors in Nigeria don't make Abacha like this. They purchase the cassava when it's already sliced and dried then they continue with the cooking process.
For some weird reason when the prepared Abacha arrived, there was this strong smell of good food that came out of nowhere. I looked around to see if someone around me had just brought in food, but it was just my imagination. I watched the entire video and was waiting in anticipation of him eating Ugba, but sadly he didn't.
Shout out to Odinaka and her assistant, they really work hard! doing back breaking lifting of gallons of hot food omg! with grace and patience, and love! I wish i could taste that !
Its amazing that mama's kids are happy to continue in this business is beyond me. Kids of this generation are too keen to stay back in this kind of work. God bless this family.

What a beautiful, beautiful black lady is this woman!!!!! (I am a woman from Austria with blond hair and blue eyes- i tell this, because i want to show that not only man are thinking like this!!) So this young lady is such a natural beauty!!!
The hustle is real, give this woman 5 years she will be living in her own duplex. I have seen women like her growing up in Enugu, strong, determined, hardworking and fiercely independent.. lovely Abacha but if you want to chop the authentic Abacha from its origin, start from Achi in Enugu state then stop at Udi. Na dem own this food..I dey miss home mehn😊
I know no doubt about Enugu people eating abacha all the time but to be sincere they make it so dry without all of this especially ugba by the side.. and also there abacha looks as if no much red oil in it, but imo state makes abacha just they way it looks in this video and big men order more for different occasions. Thank you
I love eating Ebo African salad. My Nigerian friends have made it for me here in SF a lot, and I thank you for sharing all the love, community and hard work that goes into making it the tasty delicacy that it is.

I'm the most boring Enugu guy ever, I like my abacha just like that with plenty meat haha. All the ugba, garden egg, onions, and interesting things that they add, I should try it haha. I'm too simple. Great video. Igbo Kwenu!
The only reason it took that long is because the lady sells it and has to make it from scratch. Normally, you buy the already processed cassava and t shouldn't take you more than 20 minutes to be done with.
Maurice Watkins, I wouldn't say many. Most families in America work away from home so there isn't much time for making meals from scratch. Many Americans either eat out or fix things that are out of boxes. It is slightly cheaper and more convenient to eat a fast food meal than fix a home cooked meal. For example, Wendy's has a 4 for $4 meal. Even though average home cooked meals are $4 and change per person, many Americans prefer convenience. That's why fast food restaurants thrive in America. There are no fast food chains in Nigeria.
Working 12-16 hour shifts a day leaves no time to do this all the time...most american men want their partner to work as much as them, sometimes more, it isn't like old times where the man is the bread winner and the woman cares for the home...most men here want to be taken care of!...so a woman working 12-16 hour shifts, then taking care of the husband, kids, and home, there isnt that many hours in a day! This looks like a 1-2 day job, a working person doesnt have the time.
cassava is also called yucca for people from south america (colombia) and its freaking delicious... yucca farmers in colombia guard the farm with a loaded gun
I love how she starts off really shy and intimidated by the cameras but then her personality grows and she gets more excited talking about it.
I hope the world sees how hardworking our mothers, our sisters and daughters are. Kudos to the young men too.

Esther Oranye what does this have to do with donating blood?

Lol I think she meant receiving blood. As in low iron levels causing anaemia since the food is rich in iron.
