Mercedes-Benz 7G Transmission Coding & Programming Valve Body - Part 3 of 7G Electrics Plate

- In this video we will be Coding & Programming on the 7G transmission. See part 4 for the remainder of the procedure, filling the transmission with fluid.
Mercedes-Benz 722.9 transmissions, also known as the 7G tronic, have been in production from model year 2003 to present. This 7 forward speed transmission with 2 reverse gears has been known to have some common problems that require servicing of the internal, valve body and ECU electrics plate. Please be aware that the ECU plate is a theft deterrent part on vehicles fitted with this 7G transmission, and a locksmith license (LSID) will be required when purchasing Theft Relevant Parts (TRP).
When a fault occurs in the ECU electronics plate also known as a conductor plate, fault codes for the Turbine Speed Sensor may be present along with symptoms like; improper shifting, Limp Home Mode all accompanied by a malfunction indicator lamp (MIL). Error Code 0717 - The signal from component Y3 / 8n1 (turbine speed sensor (VGS)) is unavailable.
Error code 0718 - The component Y3 / 8n1 (turbine speed sensor (VGS)) is defective.
Error code 2767 - The signal from component Y3 / 8n2 (Internal speed sensor (VGS)) is unavailable.
Error code 2768 - The component Y3 / 8n2 (Internal speed sensor (VGS)) is defective.

In case if the plate is damage what is the next option??
Rebuilt, yes it does.
If I have started my car using scanner tool without programming correctly, does that mean that I have damaged the conductor plate, as you said in the beginning?
Possibly, yes. As stated.

Please do you have video to show the other way to programming the TCU if the Original tcu totally damaged. ?!
You will need to determine the info using EPC or Xentry Portal. EPC is the electronic parts catalog for Mercedes Benz. You can search it online. Keep in mind you have to pay to subscribe and access information.
What step you follow when you replace valve body and tcm at the same time? we have a I SCAN we are replacing this componets in a 05 MB glk55 AMG
You'll need to fully code and program the vehicle when complete. If the old modules are not communicating, you'll need Xentry Portal.
Does the ground strap from ecu to chassis stop it from shorting? Is that step necessary?
Yes, it is necessary.
The old transmission doesn’t communicate with the scanner, what was that website you named? EPC net?

Does it still work if youre putting a superseded VGS3 in when the car came with a VGS2?
Yes, as long as it is the part for your vehicle, and this video applies to your vehicle, the procedure is the same.
